This is the most precious video I ever seen. Gramma had so much love of life to the end. I teared up watching this memorable video. Grammar came a long way as well as grammar. Both of which did a very very great job in raising a beautiful family bond. Traditional love is the best thing in life the bond is still there when they past. Your grammar and grammar has great value in every aspect of life and love. CHERISH THE MOMENT FOREVER. God bless you all for sharing the world how life should be.
Cari, please know that you have our deepest sympathy - your grandparents were wonderful role models not only for your mom and uncles, but also all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren❣️🤩 The very first time I watched your channel involved your grandparents making hekka; I was searching for hekka recipes in TH-cam and watched a couple but your video caught my attention! I’m sure my hekka wasn’t as tasty as your grandpa’s but it was good! I enjoyed your grandparents cooking together, your grandmother teaching you and your cousins how to make sushi, tsukemono, etc., your mom and uncles preparing things the6 especially enjoyed, and now you sharing your recipes. I’m so happy to have found your channel. Thank you for sharing your life and experiences with us all.
Thank you for your kind words and for sharing with me how you found my channel! It's comforting to hear that others have enjoyed in their recipes and values!
Condolences to your family. You are all Grandma Itsue's legacy who will carry on the traditions and values that made your family who they are. Aloha Grandma Itsue!
Dear Cari and Family, sending condolences to you and your family on the passing of your Grandma. This is sad news to hear, but also know from your wonderful videos including your Grandma she was always surrounded by the most loving and caring family. Your family shows the true essence of what family is supposed to be. Sending love and aloha to you.
Gonna miss your grandma…. Both grandparents were the reason for me subscribing awhile ago for their personalities and awesome recipes Peace and blessings to your entire ohana PS continue the videos for generations to come
Deepest condolences to your family on the passing of your grandmother. Thank you for sharing your family's story with all of us. Stumbled on your channel looking for a pork tofu recipe and I have enjoyed watching many of your videos, especially the ones with your grandparents. Especially enjoy all of the local Hawaiian-Japanese style recipes. Tip that my own Nisei grandmother taught me about making kampyo: First rinse the kampyo well and then sprinkle it generously with salt, massaging the salt into it. Let stand for a few minutes and "momu" (squeeze) the kampyo and rinse well. This is an important step that allows it to soften when cooked. The first time I made kampyo myself it was not softening even after boiling as shown in your video.
I’m so sorry for ur loss … my condolences to u and your family especially ur mom and her siblings losing their mom … my thoughts and prayers are with u
So sad to hear of you Grandmother's passing. I'm Uchinanchu from Waipahu, but now live in Utah. It's so nice to see your recipes and especially I enjoy watching your family interactions.
