I showed my Dad your vlog while I was at home and told them your Grandma was from the Big Island. He said he remembers your Grandma as he was born on the Big Island as well.

I picked up some kinako because we haven’t had kinako mochi for a long time - I didn’t know about adding salt, will have to add some. Thank you for sharing your family’s traditions❣️

Hi Cindy, grandma is from Laupahoehoe on the Big Island... so probably not her. But she did grow anthuriums in Hilo!
