    I own both of these and I got them kitted out with the Terminator chassis makes them look a lot better and a lot lighter

    I got my gauntlet .22 today I was surprised it had the barrel band ! I’m new to air guns so I skipped the hand pump and got a compressor also but failed to learn I would need a oil water separator I now read that the one that came with it isn’t good enough so now I need to wait for that! I figure I should wait I don’t want oil and water in my gun ! So if I can’t wait I may just go to the local paint ball guy and get my tank filled just so I can sight it in ! You think you got all your research-done then you learn more lol ! So far I got 1300 into everything that includes a Nikon rimfire scope! I hope I can shoot it soon waiting for more parts sucks lol ! Thanks for all your info your channels are great 👍

    Are the single shot tray interchangeable?

  • @rogerhancock8732

    I know this is a year old video but if any viewers are considering the origin let me add this, before using the pump disassemble it fully to clean and lube before actual use. Additionally, the Origin is a great slug gun I use .217's in 18-22gr for pellets though the 15.89's do really well the 18's seem to do even better. Watch out for slug length as some will not work in the mag so single shot tray will be needed as well as recommended. Hagimoto has some kits that will help take some bark out of the rifle report. There is also a barrel kit to limit harmonics as it stabilizes the barrel in the shroud, I have not used yet but will be ordering.

    Good one James. I believe you could call the Origin “pseudo regulated” by the precharged portion of the air cylinder. Its shot string is really flat. By the way, if you ever get the chance to inspect one of the new Beeman Chief 2 plus -S rifles I would really be interested in hearing if the Carm magazine fits. The breech and bolt is very similar to the Gauntlet’s.

    Been looking at both these guns lately, kinda leaning towards the origin. Just wondering your opinion on the quality of the pump and the trigger pull. Thanks and keep up the great content!!

    If you video a string of shots using the chronograph with different hammer spring adjustments and the most common pellet brands, that would really be helpful and useful.

    Have you done a favorite 5 pellet rifle video? What caliber do you feel would be best for groundhogs at 20 to 50 yards?

    Hey James, The Gauntlet seems a lot quieter. The Origin sounds like a gong being banged.

    Both are good hunting rifles.
    But for a bench gun I'll take the Gauntlet. The ability to change to a larger bottle means everything. And weight helps in bench rest shooting.

    I have a question and I’m sorry in advance If it’s stupid but can you use a Tire Inflator - Cordless Tire Inflator 150PSI Cordless Portable Air Compressor that’s Handheld Air Pump to charge these pcp air rifles?

    • @arstart
      @arstart 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. It takes a high pressure pump either a hand pump or electric.

    Can’t see the second target. So my question is was there a second target, and if so where is it. All I see is you shooting at wood close to the ground. 👎

    Origin all the way every day over the original gauntlet. Gauntlet 2 will be interesting as what I have seen umarex went ridunkulously the other way with the second gen making it way over powered for the vast majority of users.

    Umarex is just a very bad defective design! Straight junk! Do not ever buy! Same with a Gamo air rifle.Better options out there.
