    I can honestly say, without any reservation, if Hajimoto says it's so, you can bank on it. Hajimoto is one of only five shooting sports personnel whose facts I completely trust.

    This is the absolute best video I've ever seen explaining the sweet spot in a power curve. BRAVO!
    This is an excellent air rifle. I agree 100% on this being the best way into a pcp. I was amazed how accurate this rifle is. I like that Umarex didn't bundle a scope. That way the buyer can choose exactly what size and price scope he wishes to use, without paying extra for something he may put in the closet and never use.
    Excellent review brother. 🎯

    I just purchased this package. Should arrive tomorrow.
    I'm extremely excited to see how consistent this thing is going to be.
    I have ever confidence it will exceed my needs based on this review.
    Thank you for being just so above and beyond with your information gathering. I'd wager to say you surpassed the manufacturer in their marketing.
    Honestly, they should pay you. Lol

    Loved the way you broke down the data on pressure vs. velocity, etc. (Have heard this refered to but didn't really "get it" till now!) :)
    I also like the way you show the shooting data - AND the talking chrony! ;)

    Very informative! Thank you. I’ve been an air gun enthusiast for 40 years. I’ve owned all kinds including a RWS model 52. I’ve been wanting to jump into PCP for awhile now, but the cost was a turn off. I bought the Origin last month and I love it! I’ve had to repair my pump three times in that time though. I wished there was a hand pump repair/rebuild video as informative. The schematics in the manual is very difficult for old eyes.

      is the problem having to change orings . i lubricate orings with plumbers and electricians pure silicone grease .i get this at lowes or home depot ,much much much cheaper than buying from other places ,under 5 dollars a piece !!!! . i would look into talking to the experts .Is Viton better than nitrile?
      General Suitability: Viton® is best suited for diverse sealing jobs that require high temperature and chemical resistance. ... This makes Viton® far superior to Nitrile in these regards. They are also designed to resist most oils and lubricants, more importantly petroleum-based lubricants. i have noticed the blackish residue that orings produce .in time ,the more residue comes off the less material you have left on the oring right ? . Viton® is the superior choice for high temperatures. Viton® standard compounds can withstand temperatures up to 446℉, while Buna o-rings can only handle up to 257℉. ALSO IF WONDERING ,What is the difference between black O rings and green O rings?
      Difference between black o rings and green o rings
      Black o rings are primarily neoprene or Nitrile or, in some cases, a mix of the two materials. ... Green o rings are hydrogenated Nitrile, also known as highly saturated Nitrile, or more commonly known as HNBR i wonder if these VITON orings would be better suited for higher pressures and higher heat ? i will get this set up soon ,and i guess when i have to rebuild this pump i will look at all the evidence .i will contact the pros of orings and tell them whats going on with the orings . let me know your input bro !

    I REALLY Like the way you presented this. The "sweet spots" in the power curve at certain pressures provide an almost regulated shooting experience. No one else has caught on to this idea.

    • @HajimotoProductions
      @HajimotoProductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, this is not a new concept and I cannot take credit for discovering it. Shot string data for unregulated air rifles has been around for hundreds of years, it is just new to folks that are new to PCP's during a time where almost everyone wants a regulated PCP. This video proves that you do not need regulation to obtain consistency. Thanks for the view and comment my friend.

I actually just got this Air rifle a couple weeks ago and it blew me away as well I have done nothing to it but shoot it and it has been great! smooth to shoot easy to pump up if you need to air it up that way and very accurate. Way to go Haj. My Gauntlet was one of the first out. After lots of shots and all your upgrades I was very happy with the results. Then I started having an issue with it dumping all the air. I returned it for repair expecting to pay dearly and to my surprise they sent me back a brand new one. Mine was going on two years old at the time so I was very pleased. It shot better than my Bros Marauder! Anyway, lots of kudos to Umarex and you too. But this new one, very impressive, how can I justify paying 1200-1500 for the other big names? ManOman, you have convinced me. Thanks.

    Good label for this package. Knowing that this is a Nova Vista in a Umarex package is awesome. The only thing is truly wish is that they would have put this stock or wood on the Avenger but hey...for its features...and the overall cost...just wow! Still an amazing deal in both guns. This maybe possibly, the best deal on the market at the moment for someone stepping into PCPs. What an amazing time to get into high power/super accurate Airguns. Glad to see you putting out more videos again. The airgun community needs you man. We have missed you man. Over the years you have helped us/me out so much. Glad your back. God bless. That is the best review I have seen. I heard that once you reach the plateau it doesn't matter if you keep putting tension on the hammer spring, the velocity is not going to increase, it waste air instead. Is that true? Thank you @scottguido3144 I appreciate the feed back. The Orgin and the Avenger are in different price catagories so its not REALLY fair but tthe Avenger wins do to it having an user adjustable regulator, having a larger air volume which results in far more shots between fills.

    Wow! Haji thanks for the excellent introduction and analysis on the Origin. Your hard work and time spent breaking air rifles (including the origin) down for us is greatly appreciated. The short range shooting you provided was awesome! Rick Rehm had a little tease into the long range accuracy on Instagram at 120yds and it looked like a 2" group. Thank you for recognizing the work that goes into these videos. I like to concentrate on the foundation or the core of most PCP's that I review as I feel this arms the consumer with what makes it work and is it good at it. This videos is a prime example of how fast a video to turn into 20+ minutes. I do not have enough time to shoot at every distance with every projectile so I look forward to guys like Rick Rehm, Steve Scialli and so many others that fly projectiles for extreme distances and share the results with us all.

    Just bought an Avenger. This would be an excellent starter gun, coming with the pump. The ever pressure system seem awesome. Both seem to be really accurate from other reviews I’ve seen. I recommend the Origin to my brother so he can get into the sport inexpensively with a good shoot able gun right out of the box. Gonna just give him a scope and rings I’ve got hanging around if he ends up buying it. It was a hard choice between the two, but I’m already set up to shoot.

      I know this comment was like a year ago but I'm torn between the origin and avenger. Really leaning towards regulated 22 avenger and an ebay pump. Thoughts?
      For context I have several nitro piston springers, c02 pistols, and 1 pump pistol and plan to mainly target shoot but if shtf may hunt with a pcp to be quiet and save real ammo.

      @@aceman1126 Like I said I went with the Avenger in .25. I already had two tanks, and a foot pump. I already had a Gauntlet in .25, and the Origin only came in .22. My brother went with the Origin. He loves it. He already had a .22 break barrel, so no need to change out ammo. He’s dusting gophers at 20-30yrds with head shots with a dot scope. So it’s an accurate gun. I like it’s ergonomic feel to the stock better than my Avenger. I had to build up my cheek piece for proper eye relief on the Avenger. I think they offer both, now, with full starter kits, pump, scope and ammo included.

Still punches through sheet metal and pallets as far as power, but im literally tack driving at 40 yards..also lubed the pellets really lightly which is a secret difference. Thumbs up good job! Great analysis - the graphs are very informative! Thanks for taking the time and sharing. Question - do you think the “constant pressure system” acts a bit like a pseudo regulator? Also, as I look at the prices of fixed output regulators on AliExpress, I don’t understand why manufacturers don’t include regulation with all rifles now - as the cost is minimal. Do you believe that it is the added complexity (and O rings - failure points) required for regulation? Finally, I was educated a bit by the chrono and your results at 50 yards - it seems that even a 25 FPS variance was negligible in poi at 50 yards - so perhaps regulation is not that important at distances of 50 yards or less (which is likely the majority of air gun target shooting & hunting). One additional question while I’m on a roll... in your opinion, which caliber (.25 .22 or .177) is advantageous for target shooting over 50 yards?

    • @HajimotoProductions
      @HajimotoProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      DING DING DING!!! You have rung the bell three times my friend! First, yes the ever-pressure system acts sort of like a pressure stabilizer or normalizer. Next, Regulators do have a downside, you give up power for consistency. Lastly, You are absolutely right, 25 FPS or so will make little difference to the POI at 75 yards or less. Where regulated precise metered power delivery is critical is super long-distance precision shooting. I think we would have to explore how much further beyond 50 yards and if there are any energy restrictions on this target shooting. If there are no limits, anyone of these calibers has a rifle capable of threading the needle but keeping things reachable, I would say .22 or .25 because of the additional mass which is less affected by the elements. I have my personal favorite caliber which I will work twice as hard to make work just because thats my caliber 😉

    Thanks for the great video. Just got mine, my first but not last PCP, love it. I cannot get much more than 3,000 PSI in mine with the pump and I am 6’4” 270 .lbs. Slow full pumps get me to 3,000. Screwed in the hammer spring then backed out two full turns and get twenty shots from 3,000 to 2,000 .lbs. 50 pumps from 2,000 to 3,000 , going by Benjamin pumper math that is a pretty good deal. No Chrony yet but @ twenty yards(farthest I can safely shoot in my backyard) knocks down .22 Rimfire silhouettes with authority and shots .250” groups with Crosman 14.3 hollow points. My Walther LGV Master got jealous today.

But the down side it I only get 24 shots per fill. I backed the hammer spring all the way out. 1/2 turn on. 750 across crony. I have it up to 850 now. Crossman 14.3 grain. Love the 40 pumps, but would like a bigger shot count.

    I'm new to PCP and bought this as my first PCP rifle. The rifle shoots nice and smooth. What sucks is using the included hand pump everytime the pressure gets low. If it's Umarexs goal to have the customer invest back into the PCP community then they did it because now I'm looking into a PCP air compressors and they are not cheap. So those looking into this rifle know that hand pumping will get old real quick.

    • @HajimotoProductions
      @HajimotoProductions  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is my understanding that Umarex put this package together so folks had everything they needed to use the airgun. You need to have an air source no matter what PCP you buy.

    • @anthonygillespie4523
      @anthonygillespie4523 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go ahead and buy a decent compressor, and a tank, because once you get hooked, you will find yourself buying different pcp rifles and hand pumping wont be fun. I fill my tanks (2) from my compressor and thats less wear and tear on my compressor and filling from my tanks takes about 10 seconds. To fill my 98 cu ft tank takes about 30-35 minutes and from the tank I get about 20-25 fills before I have to air it back up. I have 20 pcps, and it makes it so much better to shoot them, instead of hand pumping, and the tanks make me mobile. Most of my pcps fill to 250 bar.
