Literally the hardest cars to check the oil on, maximas also. There is always some on the upper part of the dipstick so if its full it looks like your oil level is ridiculously high
Thank you for this. My oil maintenance light came on and I started freaking out. I checked the oil immediately and turns out I have enough oil. It’s just reminding me to get an oil change soon and I actually was planning on getting it changed next week. I’m kind of broke this week which is why I started panicking. So my car is not in any immediate danger however I will be going in to get it changed ASAP next week.
So on mine, the cylinder head drains onto the dipstick which in a channel full of oil, even when off. Every time you reinsert it, it drenches the entire dipstick in oil making it almost impossible to read unless the vehicles has been sitting overnight
Do you have a video showing how to check the transmission oil level? Or does it show in the dashboard when oil levels are low? I have a 2015 Nissan Altima, and what kid of motor oil should I use?
Search on youtube.com and type in Transmission fluid checking and the make, model and year of the car and hit search and you should find it. I just know for a Nissan Altima 2007 the transmission fluid diptick is tosards the right of the hood and locked so you will need a flat head to release the lock so you can pull the dipstick out and check and for this car you add the transmission fluid in the same place where you check unlike the oil.

What if there is oil on the low and the high symbol but none in between?

That dipstick or the tube itself is horrible for measuring the oil level. Dipstick gets oil everywhere

Out of all cars I owned, Nissan Altima is the worst one to check oil levels, and Toyota Avalon is the easiest one, so far.
