The video of him attacking the cabinets might not have looked great, but one thing it did show is that during his episode of extreme anger, not only did he not take his anger out in her, but she was clearly comfortable enough to try to provoke him while he was angry. No matter what this has showed about JD, it has yet to show what she has accused him of as being true. And that is what this trial is about.

I was married to a violent narcissist for 22 yrs. With Johnnys past, I see why he wants to be numb when she attacks him both verbally and physically. I stood and took it too because I had my children around me that I felt I needed to protect. Only a few times I lashed out verbally when I couldn’t take it anymore. She recorded his lashing out when he reached that point. People who don’t understand abuse won’t understand Johnnys behavior.

I was attacked by my ex-gf. I put my hands up to protect my face from the barrage of blows, and her arms connecting with mine pushed my arms inwards. My open palm connected momentarily with her head by the force of her blow. "You hit me ! Now you just hit me !" she shouted in the street like a crazy woman. Then she spat at me. I said I did not hit her, that she had hit my arm that caused my hand to hit her. She walked off. Later I saw that she wrote on Facebook that I had hit her. I didn't know what to do. I demanded that she delete the post and post that I didn't hit her. She removed the post, and said that she had posted confirmation that I didn't hit her. But I never saw that post. I really should have gone to the police about her, but we were abroad at the time. And all the while she was screwing around behind my back. Fast forward a couple of years and she has one failed marriage behind her (it lasted less than a year), and from what others tell me she posts on Instagram, she's living a sponsored lifestyle that she couldn't afford. God help the poor guy who is paying for it. She'll eventually turn violent with him also. And no, I've never told any of my friends this, so yes men do feel shame and confusion when attacked by a woman. But we know no matter what, you don't hit a woman.

I believe Johnny 100%. This is what struck me the most that he is telling the truth. The woman who took the pic of the poo was his long time housekeeper (?) Hilda. He said she has been with him for 30 years. His other guy, Kevin, (not sure what his role is) has also been with him for a long time. Having a loyal staff/employees is a sign of a good person. There are so many stories of horrible Hollywood types where their staff is a revolving door with the former staff saying how awful it was to work for so and so. In contrast, Johnny's "people" seem to be extremely loyal to him. I don't care how much someone is paying you, if they are a horrible person, you will want to quit eventually, but the fact that these people have stayed with Johnny for so long tells me he is a kind, and empathetic person. And honestly, they are probably like a family to him and see how vulnerable he is and want to protect him.

I don't think it's fair to say a victim of abuse (regardless of crossfire) should be better in control of their emotions when they're being cross-examined by their abuser's lawyer. The double-standards between female and male victims is astounding. It's hard enough to for a man to admit being abused, I think we should be a little more sensitive, as we would be to a female victim who gets worked up or starts crying in court. As someone who has worked with many actors, nobody can hold back pain like that when being questioned.

My gut said she was a gold digger when I saw her picture first time with him.
Then I watched a movie with her because of him. Forgot the movie, forgot her.
A movie with Depp you don't forget. Even if you see him in a cameo for one minute.
Now all this proof is out. Her statement where she eats all the time, the video when he kicks and slams the kitchen and his story when he was in the shower and she hammered at the door. She then hit his head between door and frame.
      Enough information.
      Get a divorce.
This is an ongoing war and nothing of this is a healthy life. But he stayed and turned his other cheek.
He had peace and freedom and harmony with Vanessa and his kids. Vanessa is ten years younger than him.
He gave all that up for the witch?
He knew what a relationship could be like. All this horror for what?
Recently I discovered the video about the evening when she threw two bottles at him. He was injured very hard and she pressed her burning cigarette on his cheek.
      Imagine that.
      This says everything about her.
She used his face as an ashtray when he was injured and bleeding.
Everybody only talks about her shaiting the bed.
Hope she goes to jail. She is guilty of so many crimes.
Maybe they will not win this case. Remember, this is about if he ever hit her.
So far no evidence he ever hit her. Is it enough for the trial? We will see.
There must follow some trials about her throwing bottles and injuring him. And don't forget to mention the cigarette in his face. He just mentioned it on the side.
Thank goodness his guard took pictures of him and his injuries.
What is this spot in your face on this picture, Johnny?
Oh, Amber put out her cigarette on my cheek.
      ... She did whaaat?
Sounded like she did it as a normal thing to him.
Next time just use your own face when you need an ashtray, Ember.
She is a boring starlet, nothing special about her. No acting talent.
Sienna Miller got my attention at first minute, Margot Robie as well in the series where Cristina Ricci has the main part as a flight attendent.

You know that you don't have to listen to the he said, she said. Listen to the witnesses. Most of Johnny's employees have been with him for decades. Denigrating people don't get that kind of loyalty. Then consider Amber's former assistant's testimony. To me, that clears the murky mire of who's bad and who is worse. Johnny's no angel but doesn't deserve to have his career destroyed by Amber's exaggerated accusations. Talk about a pot calling a kettle black...

Lost any sympathy I could have felt for Heard in about two seconds just by watching her expressions. She'd been wearing a hangdog victim expression on her face without so much as a twitch throughout Depp's testimony. There were numerous microexpressions of rage. It was telling which comments she reacted to and which evoked no reaction at all. At one point she hands a note to someone behind her. Her council leaned in, whispering something that causes Heard to smile, appearing to be amused. Council whispers something and Heard appears to realize her toothy, mirthful grin while Depp is speaking of abuse at her hands isn't a good look. With the emotional dexterity only a professional actress could manage, the hangdog victim is back. The woman is an abusive control freak with no apparent conscience. Men get abused too.

Here's what i know about Johnny Depp, he shot "21 Jump Street" in Vancouver Canada where I grew up and I have friends in the film industry there who said he was a really good guy, but very shy. If there's a dispute on set, he always just disappears to his trailer, wanting no part in it. After stressful things going on, on set, he usually got drunk or stoned and fell asleep in his trailer. A few years ago he showed up at the Vancouver Children's Hospital, dressed as Jack Sparrow and spent the day greeting and talking to the sick kids and their parents, particularly the young cancer patients. He's done that a couple of times. Doesn't seem much like an abusive person. On the other hand, my first wife was a narcissist and diagnosed with NPD, and her behavior was very much like what is being described about Amber's behavior. My kids and I had to have several years of counseling because of our experience living with her. My ex wife has four failed marriages and dozens of failed relationships, but I've been happily married now for over twenty years and my kids from my first marriage and this marriage all get along very well, but none of them want anything to do with my ex. Unfortunately, people like that want to push all the buttons they can to create conflict because they relish it. They also love to control people and any sort of person that has the weakness of addiction, would turn to that to escape. Even I started drinking heavily to avoid the emotional pain of what was happening in our marriage. I barely drink at all now. My two daughters from my first marriage also abused substances as teenagers, especially when I lost the custody case in court. She was very good at claiming that I was the abuser, even though she had no evidence and admitted to having affairs and not really looking after the kids, leaving me with them on weekends when she would prefer to go out with her friends, however I had quite a lot of evidence that included hospital records of attending for stitches after being hit with bottles and glasses by her during her rages. The courts are very uncomfortable in giving custody to fathers unless the mother is shown to be physically violent towards the children, which she wasn't. After counseling my kids are doing great, they got out on their own when they were 17 and 18 respectively and moved in with me and with my parents for a while when I took a job in Dubai. My eldest daughter is happily married and a mother of three great daughters and my second oldest daughter is a Police Detective and an Army Reserve Officer and is getting married this year. The best thing to do with women like Amber is to get as far away from them as possible. They can be very charming when they want to be, but look out when they they get closer because they exploit all your weaknesses and insecurities so that they can control and manipulate you, and when it looks like you are going to leave them, they go on the attack and play the victim while they try to destroy you in any way they can.

I'm thankful for the couple of times Johnny attempted to explain, even tho the attorney demands a yes or no answer and cuts him off. I think Johnny's only a danger to himself, no one else. I don't believe that Johnny banging cabinet doors makes him look bad. He was upset about something that day that had nothing to do with his and Amber's relationship. During that moment, when he was banging cabinets, he was in a sense "crying for help". He needed someone to stand beside him, support him, encourage him, and let him know that he had someone on his side. Instead, Amber recorded his frustration and acted like she was being victimized somehow because her husband was upset. Amber was not Johnny's target that day. She was his support that he was seeking and she failed him terribly.

@@Catglittercrafts yes, borderlines lie. I’m not claiming that Amber is a completely rational person; quite the contrary. My issue is that I haven’t seen anyone who’s not a doctor talk about Johnny as anything but a victim. I mean, they’re both victims, as ASPD and BPD are manifestations of severe childhood abuse and trauma. But I don’t know if I can think of a more insidious abuse tactic than turning the whole world against someone that you’ve victimized, in order to gain compassion and sympathy from a whole bunch of people who’ve experienced so much trauma themselves that their intuition is completely broken. The only people who can look at this situation from an objective standpoint are the very few who were not victims during their childhoods. If I hear that someone has been in a relationship with an abuser, so they can speak on this from a personal experience perspective, I know their judgment and intuition are off, because, by and large, the only people who enter into relationships, and stay long enough for them to escalate to physical abuse, were victims of their parents’ during childhood. This is what inter generational trauma is all about. Thank goodness they don’t have children together. And when it comes down to me having to side with someone who has ASPD, or someone who has BPD, my sympathy is going to the latter. It’s actually quite likely that being with Johnny drove Amber even more mentally unstable than she already was. She was 25 when they met, and for someone who experienced childhood trauma, 25 can look an awful lot like 13. What kind of mentally balanced man chooses to get into a relationship with an emotionally stunted woman who’s 20 years younger than he is? Possibly a codependent, but in that case, he wouldn’t have a history of violence(Johnny does), and he also wouldn’t send texts to people, fantasizing about unaliving her. Oh, and a codependent man never would have brought a law suit to begin with, nor any negative attention to their abuser.

Amber took many hours of video of Johnny at his worst, seemingly obviously to use against him once she divorced him, which appears to have been the plan from day one imho. My question is why didn’t she get pics of him attacking her? Surely whenever she felt she could make herself seem threatened, she whipped out the phone, as the cabinet incident proved. Where are the pics of him with his arm raised pre-strike? Where is there ANY evidence of him abusing her, because there is ample evidence of her abusing him. I’m looking forward to the upcoming testimony regarding being in a relationship with an abusive, gaslighting narcissist.
One last thing, he can’t make himself look any worse than Amber already has. Substance abuse is easily forgiven, but domestic assault? Never.

This! I said the same thing.
His recordings were in his defense obviously when he realized he wasn’t going to get out of it unscathed.

I thought the same. She had this planned from before the divorce. She isn't a well-known actor like Jonny Depp and wanted a chunk of his money. Your also right about not getting pictures of him attacking her. Why? Because it never happened.

I do not think Johnny is making himself look bad at all. I think he has a right to defend himself and it has been proven time and time again that Amber is unstable and has issues with distorting the truth this telling many lies. She is very immature. My heart is sad for her child whom will most likely be mentally or even perhaps physically damaged if she does not get help. Just my opinion on the subject. I believe Johnny will survive he has always had to. Not sure about Amber I don't think anyone will want to work with her ever again.

I enjoy watching your decidedly serious and informative videos. I would add that just as all good dishes need seasoning, you pepper yours with a dash of intermittent and guaranteed spit-take-inducing zingers. In spite of the fact that my peripheral hardware may sometimes suffer from such clever interjections---say, if I'm drinking coffee or tea at the time---your brand of humor is a good start to the day. More importantly, such humor does take the edge off of otherwise depressingly serious subjects.

I think also what hurt Amber was Johnny's testimony about her resenting him wanting to spend time with his kids.
