  • The cell fracture addon is pretty easy to enable and run, but you can get a lot more adjustability and fidelity with it than you think! In this video we will talk about all the different settings you can tweak for the cell fracture addon, and how you can use that for a rigid body simulation.

      If I were to teach someone blender, I'd say that line more than anything else
      I'd either say, I don't know what this does
      Or
      This does nothing as far as I am concerned
      Or
      Don't worry about that it won't do anything

    Hi Thank you for the Video: Quick Quastion... How do you Connect the Cells? For connecting I always need one active Cell, so all Cells will connect only to one Cell. But it is not a solution. Each cell have to be connected to the near one. Because if the Object vreak a part, each part have to move seperatly. If they connected to one cell, they will be connected together after they break apart. :/ I hope you have an easy answer :D

    • @MrCheebs
      @MrCheebs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That depends on what you are using it for. If this is just for background rubble and you don't need the accuracy of a full rigid body simulation, then you're probably fine using a particle system.
      For an extremely high subdivision level, you'll want to use a particle system emitted from the volume of your mesh, with a high amount of particles (corresponding to the amount of cells you want to be generated). Then set the source limit to the amount of particles you've made, and it should generate that many cells. :)

    • @DerKruste
      @DerKruste 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dt-cz1ux It's more prone to exploding when the thing you're fracturing is small, so it's wise to scale up the object in question.
      If it then is too big for the rest of the scene (the wine glass is the size of a table for example) you can then resize the rest of the scene accordingly.
      But as with a lot of things involving physics, sometimes it's best to just re-run the script in hope of a better result. (After resizing and increasing the margin, that is.)
