Although these addons are great and make the process of creating FX in blender super easy and fast but i believe they are all using the 15+ years old particle system and outdated out of development mantaflow, so until thise get updated there's not gonna be a massive visual update from these addons unless they made their own particle system/smoke solver like flio fluids which is probably the only addon in Blender to have its own custom solver written from grounds up.

Yep, performance is the biggest problem when doing destruction, even when using Houdini things get slow really fast.
Finally a good video that isn't the stupid cell fracture add-on!!!!
