    For what it’s worth, I respectfully disagree. I installed vinyl gutters 20 years ago. They still look brand new. No painting. I still have aluminum on the back of the garage and they look horrible. Faded, bare metal showing, dented, etc.

    He doesn't recommend plastic gutters. LOL I do. If you install them correctly, you will have no problem. I installed them on my parent's home in Northern Minnesota over 15 years ago and still no issues. And.....they are easy to remove if necessary when removing snow or ice from the roof. Buy a good quality PVC and your good to go. Aluminum looks tacky after a rough winter.

      That's totally understandable! Better than nothing for sure. I've been doing seamless for two years now as some fun summer work. I've torn down and replaced countless amounts of plastic systems that weren't very old, and were in bad shape. If you can, it's definitely worth saving up, when they're installed right, they'll last 20, 30+ years, it's a great investment. But then again, I may be a bit biased.

      LOL, I was always told I talk ALLOT😊 I do not recommend plastic guttering:( the video was meant for informational purposes ONLY👍
      So many times over the years I have seen sooooo many DIYers install the plastic guttering, only later to remove and install the recommended aluminum type guttering.
      This video is meant to inform and help the DIYers get it done the right way the first time👌👍

    Many home owners in our area have successfully installed vinyl with no issues over multiple years. Not all of us can afford outrageous metal gutters! I used vinyl and it works 100% of the time. This guy is a biased sales man.

    I was quoted $1400 to install seamless gutters on two sections of my roof (26’ and 54’ straight runs) and I bought plastic Home Depot Amerimax gutters for less than $200 so I can’t agree with your recommendation. The seemless guys want a fortune. I even offered to buy the seamless guy a roll of aluminum for him to form my gutters and he could keep the rest of the roll but he wouldn’t do it

    • @Everythinggutter

    Perfect way to decide to not hire this condescending fellow. Installed properly these work perfectly. Just takes a bit more work. Hence why he doesn't install them. No dents, bends, or painting, staining, or paint fading. Yes they take more work, but they will last much longer and work perfectly. Sad when contractors take time to make these videos just so they can justify the fact they don't like the time it takes to do it right. Rather install an entire aluminum or steel job in two hours than a day. The maintenance is your problem. Flagging this because it's not how to install vinyl gutters but merely to persuade you not to.

  • @scottmonfort

    Your reasons for not getting vinyl are shallow. Why would Vinyl overflow, but not metal. Why would plastic catch debris, but not metal? You do not give any details. You showed the inside white part of the gutter ... it was only dirty ... no one sees that. Same metal gutter, you will not see the dirt because it is not white.

    • @ginakerry2588
      @ginakerry2588 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had trees growing in metal gutters. Soooo, not much difference between them, as far as stickage of debris.
      I'm willing to give them a try. Im just trying to figure out if the support from the trim is more of an issue . For instance I don't want to have to support something every 2 ft because it's plastic. So I'm researching to find that out.
      As far as cost, plastic looks like a no brainer.
