it really looked like she was paralyzed beyond repair. the fact that these kind people could help her to walk is a miracle.
My theory is she was sitting in that pipe for a long time, weak and malnourished and her back legs atrophied

I rescued a kitten 2 years ago, who the vets said would not live.
After several surgeries and caring for her, she now has a wonky leg, but can run and play.
We love her very much, and she is still living with us.
I love seeing cats slowly start to realize that the people that found them are just trying to help and so slowly but surely they start trusting the people and become more and more soft and kind towards them, it's so adorable

I got emotional when she actually walked again! When I saw how her legs looked I never imagined she could ever walk. This baby deserves a sweet life ahead ❤️

She's beautiful! I had a cat named Amelia. She'd been hit by a car when I found her. She couldn't use one of her front paws, but she got around just fine. If you show love and kindness to almost anyone or anything, it will respond with love. We just need patients. Rome wasn't built in a day, and either does trust. God bless you two for taking care of this little being.

She was in pain for a long time and malnourished, I think she earned the right to be mad. And now that she’s got loving family and is rehabilitated, she can let a new emotion take over.

Like human beings, she was probably depressed, sad and didn't trust but with kindness over good food she started to feel positive and happy! She got over it herself with help. Lovely video x
Cat physiology is incredibly underestimated. They can recover from non-lethal poisons ten times faster than most other mammals, they heal bones three times faster, their nerves heal almost as fast as bone tissue, and it's very, very rare for a cat to get sick from airborne pathogens.
also i think even their purring can heal humans faster too. i may be wrong but i've read that a few times. pretty cool!

Yes, we know why she was stuck in that water, her legs were under devolved. Their love an care made her better
I cried also. My heart aches for all the domestic and wild animals that are abandoned,abused or killed by sick people in this world.
My heart ached when I noticed a change in my cats behaviour and took her to the vet. Diagnosis of kidney problems and over active thyroid gland. She’s on renal food and thyroid medicine for life now.
What made my heart ache was when I get told me my cat was lucky to have me, especially a senior one like her.
My cat is lucky because I noticed a change in behaviour and some weight loss? I thought I was doing the basic standard of cat care that any reasonable owner would.

Same bro, about a month ago, I had to go out for some work with my family leaving my bunny alone at home, so I packed him up in his small house and somehow he broke free and unfortunately, went into the kitchen. I'm still glad he didn't got on the stove or something but still he was trying to search for food as he always noticed us bringing food for him from kitchen, but he fell from the shelf. usually, he easily hops out of the shelf but that time, he literally fell down and his legs broke. When I returned, first thing I did was check whether he was fine, saw that he wasn't in his house and then, I saw the most horrific thing of my life. I saw my bunny on the ground with one leg twisted a bit and his eyes were closed like he was in pain and a bit of blood was there too. I quickly grabbed him and took him to the vet. He said his leg's broken so he can not walk, but I really really wish he can recover. I still think it was my fault, only if I locked his house perfectly and not like an idiot he wouldn't have escaped and he would've been alright but I still believe he can recover. He started to move his legs just a little bit from yesterday. I'll update this comment if he starts to walk someday.

I rescued a feral kitty once. I wrapped him in a towel until he calmed down. It worked. He wasn't the cuddly cat, but learned that he was loved and finally came around.

I had a case like this. Extremely angry, scared, hissy. Two days later, she's purring on my lap. Two months later, she is adopted with her new friend Graffiti. Sundance went through a lot, but found a loving home. My best all time rescue!
The people who do this work are the greatest testament to humanity, imho.

This was an absolutely beautiful story. You can tell that cat thinks the world of its hooman. Iv noticed the difference from the cat I let move in from the streets to the cat that was born in my house. The former street cat shows her appreciation everyday. My Harry who was born here thinks I’m his servant and that I was put on this earth to attend to his wants and needs. lol. Love them both. Plus my other two cats. They are all great in their own way
Animal or human, no matter what had happened in the past, deserves a second chance. Look at her, just look at her transforming from a growling little kitten to the most affectionate little one.
Most humans...sorry, but I believe that some criminals are irredeemable and will have to answer for not changing their ways...I will stick to helping those that want to help themselves and just need a boost..but yeah, all animals that can be saved deserve a second chance. Thank goodness there are always kind and compassionate human beings like the folks on The Dodo to balance out the wicked ones that just want to hurt everything around them.
