I’m so glad there are rescuers like this woman that help kittens find good homes and even patiently give them physical therapy! The Dodo taught me what Swimmer’s Syndrome is and has done a lot to bring about more awareness of the condition. Inspiring video!
The most important is the rescuer refuse to give up on medical condition the kitten has.

My parents adopted a stray my cousin found, he has short little legs and had swimmers syndrome the first couple days as he was very young. Thankfully he mostly seemed to get over it on his own, we wouldn’t have known how to help the poor thing if he hadn’t 😢
If a cat has syndrome it’s life is sad
I am so glad your vet gave you affordable options for fixing her swimmer's legs! Usually you see thousands of dollars worth of therapy on the Dodo videos.
As someone born this way who needed braces and was told I would never walk, I appreciate your faith and follow through!!!

Thank you for your kind replies! I was blessed with many years of independence but in my midlife now have progressive issues and surgeries with most time in a wheelchair. But I keep fighting just the same to retain any mobility possible! So thankful for the good people who support me. Best to you both! ❤️🙏💞🌈

I love when they're little floof balls and just a few weeks old. When my cat had her kittens they would all fit in my coat pockets when I would go for walks, with the mama cat walking along with me. Then I'd take them out and they'd play on a log or a big pile of sand, then I'd gather them all up and put them back in my pockets and head back home again.

Kitten Lady also did a video on curing a kitten with swimmers syndrome and I've seen a few others with kittens and puppies. I'm really glad that this condition - and it's treatment - is becoming well known. As long as it's dealt with early on, there's no reason these critters can't live perfectly normal lives...

Good job keeping the sisters together because I know it isn't easy to keep bonded pairs together. It just goes to show that with a little work that swimmers syndrome can be dealt with without major surgery and other expensive procedures. I know it is a good bit of work but it isn't the end of the world. Nicely done all the way around.

Seeing the little cat able to overcome her disability and recover, I honestly wonder if I with over 13 years of depression - will one day be able to be free of it and live a happy life.
Kudos to the kitten’s patient foster parents and siblings for helping them.
Maybe a kitten can help with that(if you are able)? A baby animal's playful antics & unconditional love make life so much better for people with depression and anxiety. A cat's purring has been proven to lower blood pressure!🙂
I used to have moderate depression issues until I got a kitten and never had issues again. Having something else to focus on instead of my thoughts all the time definitely helped to keep from obsessing over negative thoughts. Plus receiving and giving affection was like getting a regular source of a vitamin you had been badly deficient in. Hope you get over it one day as well.

@@2babobcat761 @ghoster311 @MochiJiminie Thank you for the suggestions. I already have a 12 year old Doggo, got her after I was diagnosed with depression. She's not good with other animals sadly so that's likely not possible. I do pat the stray cats in my area though.

I hadn't heard of this swimmers problem until Dr Pol's show, but it's fairly common, and easily remedied! Thank you for taking the time! The exercise pool was genius!

She found it hard in the beginning, but Jitterbug persevered and adjusted to her strange tape legs and eventually managed to work with it on her own, with her siblings, and use it to help out herself. Well done. What an Amazing kitty with an amazing family.

The love and patience you had to have to give this beautiful kitten the ability to use her back legs is wonderful. Sometimes I could barely see the video because of the happy tears in my eyes. If ever someone were looking to describe the word "Love" you and this kitten would explain it.

This is beautiful! All innocent beings deserve such a loving and devoted start in life! And I’m so glad the two best friends got to go to their forever home together! Thank you for taking care of the little one even though you were overwhelmed at first! Thanks to you she’ll have ha happy, healthy, and pain free kitty life! She probably would have been euthanized in a shelter, because they don’t often have the ability to give that one on one time.

Swimmer’s Syndrome… one of my foster’s had the same thing. We built a little walkway for him & taped his leg’s. Right around 3 weeks old he mastered the art of being a busy kitten. Love the “come back kid” stories. However… saying goodbye to my foster’s is the worst. My eyes usually swell up from the crying. 😳 ❤
