I think the main thing that pushes it above the wave bird for a majority of people should be the Bluetooth functionality allowing you to connect it to pretty much all your other systems. Like if you wanted to play GameCube games on your PC or smash bros on switch this allows you to do all those things for most likely a cheaper price. I think you should have at least mentioned that part of the control in this video as a separate section just so people discovering this controller know that
Yeah, that's a super cool possibility as well. I just wanted to compare the two controllers in this video, as I was really only interested in using this on the GameCube.
great controller to 8:00 minute and when you said that the trigger aren't with the travel and click feature now i think it's a bad controller, 3rd party controller should try to achieve the same features of the original...
It's not a bad controller... it's just not a full on reproduction of the original. I like some of the things that they added.
This looks like the perfect controller for PSO if the bluetooth input lag isn't bad.
It's actually not bad at all. I do PSO on the Dreamcast, and due to my PicoBoot mod chip, I can't install a third party broadband adapter in that serial port, as it's already being used. I could get an OEM broadband adapter, but those are too expensive for me. This is one of the best GameCube controllers I've ever used on the system, highly recommend it for a ton of games!

It's still a great controller. Used it the other day to test out some GameCube/Gameboy Player stuff with the RetroTink 4K. It's still my number 1 GC controller, although I'm excited to try out the 8bitdo mod that lets you turn a real GC controller into a Bluetooth wireless controller.

How does the D-pad there feel compared to the Neo Geo Pocket Color, which is kind of the gold standard for that kind of mechanical d-pad design?

Glad you made that comment on Swiss fast booting issue. Im fine with losing that for a comfy wireless controller. Was wondering how accurate the analog stick is for Melee? For feel, does the gate feel exactlty the same as OEM, I have the Switch Nitrodeck and that gate feels off. Also wondering if the snapback to neutral is about the same as OEM.
I can't say much about that as I'm not a Smash person... But everything else feels really nice!
so i orderd mine, and i cant wait to get it, its seems super worth it just to replace as my main controller for the gamecube
i will say one thing this has over the wave bird is rumble, HD rumble for the switch
It took *_way_*_ too long_ to finally make this. My only wish would be to have *two more mappable buttons,* preferably *four* more (two more on the back and two more shoulder buttons) and it'd be damn near perfect.
The biggest *_negative_* about this controller is having to spend *more* to have *rounded* stick rings. The 2nd *negative* is that it feels like light, cheap plastic like all of their other controllers.
Overall it's a great first step in the right direction. Now if only I could get them to make a 6 button Dreamcast controller....
@@travisbowmanmusic I'm definitely a big fan of the controller regardless of my nitpicking. I can "fix" most of my miniscule complaints.
I never got into DC due to it being a platform that mainly has arcade fighting ports. It's was definitely ahead of the rest at the time but lacked something.
@iyeetsecurity922 there are lots of games that don't fit that "arcade" persona. Jet Grind Radio, Shenmue, Maken X, and Record of Lodoss War are great examples.

Hi, I just recently purchase mt NYXI warrior controller and immediately test it out but after connecting to my gamecube it doesn't work it's just connected but movement or buttons functionality. I try updating firmware and watch multiple videos how to connect but still no luck. I already contacted NYXI customer support but its abysmal. Is there anyone who experience this? How did you fix it? I will really appreciate any help.

Maybe try pairing it to somthing else or figuring out a way to device reset it
Does it work with a Raspberry Pi or Linux in general? Could you maybe test it (with a Lakka bootstick)?
Have you tried it with the Gamecube version of Super Mario Sunshine? I’m curious if the trigger works the same where if you lightly press it you can still spray and move.

@@jdgilland1 Since no one has uploaded a follow up for my question in all reviews I've watched. I can confirm myself the Warrior works the same on trigger sensitivity although there is no secondary click like a OEM Gamecube controller that lets you know you're fully pressing it.
@RealSgtBrian I feel like that's something I could easily adapt too especially since I never even played a GameCube until earlier this year.
How do these work on racing games on Switch?
I haven't tested it on the Switch, I was more interested in it as a GameCube controller. But there are other reviews out there that focus on its Switch compatibility. I imagine it would be pretty good for racing games!
