How to RESET (WIPE) your PS4 Pro before Selling it

- Hi, this video shows you how to prepare your PS4 Pro for selling it on to a new owner. I show you how to backup your game saves to a USB drive, how to deactivate it as a primary console and how to complete wipe the data off it so it is the same as when it was first purchased.
This will allow the new user to not have any problems when they log into the console with their own PSN ID and it will allow you to make sure your information is not passed on and also allow you to use your PSN (PlayStation Network) on another PlayStation. The full initialisation can take over 2 hours.

Didn't mention it only works if console is fully up to date firmware and you have to be logged on also.

Probably the most helpful video for resetting the PS4. I didn’t know you had to deactivate the account prior to initializing. No other video I viewed told me this. Your the best, thanks!
you don't have to but its best if you do otherwise you would have to call sony and get it fixed

As long as you don't grab the bottom with your FINGER NAILS (😳😱), it should be fine with just finger prints. If not, I just clean and dry mine with a wet wipe.

hey.. i copy save data from my old ps4 onto usb drive and then transfer it to my new ps4 pro just like you show in the video.. but when i install the game and download all the dlc's back.. somehow its not working.. i cant load my save file in the game as it says "save file cannot be load as installation is still in progress" when all the dlc's and the games is fully update and already install.. now i cant play my games that i have play about 200 hrs..
Nabil Fikri you probably need to set the new ps4 as your primary console and change the old one to your secondary console..After that all of your dlc stuff should download
How do u make ur new ps4 ur primary? I sold my ps4 over a yr ago n just got a new one. on my new ps4 I loaded my old gamer tag, but it won’t hook to PSN. Have no idea what to do so I’m thinking tht might be the prob
john mamuzich somehow need to get your account to forget the original ps4 im not sure call sony.

Reset your PS4 (from 6:56 to 8:11) : Go to Settings / Initialisation / Initialise PS4 / Full (and wait aprox 2 hours to complete the Reset).
Will that delete your ps account so u can’t use the same on ps5?
