A possible FIX for a PS4 Pro WHITE LIGHT Fault

- Hi, if your PS4 has seized up and is showing a pulsing white light like shown in the video then you may be able to fix it by simply holding down the power button until it fully shuts off. When it turns back on again it will think that you unplugged it from the power without shutting it down properly and will go through a safe start up procedure but then it should be back to normal.

Thanks Vince. My hubby & I are avid viewers of your videos and you have help us 'repair' the PS4 (hubby had a sleepless night last night after telling me he had the 'white light of death'!! LOL). Actually our problems was the switching box it was plugged into. But we followed your 'destructions' and plugged the PS4 into the telly upstairs and it worked!! So by elimination we found the problem and fixed it. Thanks a lot.

This is my third Pro that goes through this, most recent i lucked iut and just had to hold the power button and the console turned off, left it off sor like 15 seconds and it booted up normal. I realized this happens more often if the console loses internet connection, like the console just doesn't know what to do if your connection drops suddenly.
I was having a issue with mine turning on had the white light. I had held the pier button several times till the ps4 shut down I turned it back on and it didn’t work then I saw your post about the internet connection so I unplugged the internet held down the power button for two beeps and a shut down restart the ps4 it turned on I had a screen on my TV 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

I got my PS4 slim last year. Now it has alot of problems booting up. I cant even fix it. It randomly shuts off even if I'm not playing a game or while I'm updating a game. It doesn't matter what I do.. ,.and the screen goes black but the white light stays on. It's been going like that for a week. I never had problems with it this bad before. It was working just fine 2 weeks ago. I'm probably gonna wait until I get an xbox and then wait until I get a PS5.

1st time my PS4 (reg) did this amd I know all about safe mode, but surprise, surprise it wasn't working. Tried it three times found this video of yours did same step and found it came on on a different channel and I was like, well that's weird. Anyways thank you 😂😂

I had the same issue but was able to resolve it. I turned on the PS4 and nothing would show on the TV. So I turned my controller on as well and noticed then when I moved the joystick I had audio as if I had options. If this is you this is what I did: first I swapped out my HDMI cord and inspected HDMI outlets to ensure the prongs we're not damaged. No results. My next attempt was to leave the PS4 and TV on and in white mode, then unplug your TV from the outlet. Wait a few seconds then plug it back in. Turn your TV back on and you should have video/audio. Then everything worked. I hope it works for you too!

Seth Mueller it just happened to me as well. It’s not weird that the solution was to unplug the TV from outlet and than plug it back. So what was the problem the TV and the HDMI or the PS4?

I have exactly the same issue with my ps4 pro and I have to do this trick every time that I want to turn my console on. It doesn't fix the problem it only Let's you to log back in.. It's very annoying when you have to do this everyday.

With your PS4 pro having the white light, change your TV input settings to say your cable input for about 1 min - then switch your TV input back to your PS4 pro and it comes back to life

The button where you turn the power on manually is supposed to light up blue. Then when the PS4 is fully on it should stay white and your PS4 controller light should be blue.

The light keeps going white and then I got it the stay blue for a while but then a little while later nothing happens and it turns white again

What helps me is change the tv settings to HDMI to what ever other option you have and then back to HDMI

Didnt work tried twice even got to the setting to initialize after losing everything it still stays on the white. Guess its time to call to see what it will cost to repair

@@ehtgerman5869 I actually discovered the problem it's because it was plugged into a power strip. Once I plugged the power cord straight into the wall jack i havent had a problem since. But I did try a different power strip and it worked fine not sure why but I found out from another video. This guy who repairs PS claims that some power strips can cause the system not to work properly.
@@Boeing777DriverAAwaitttt. Mine was plugged into a powerstrip then stopped working too! I've had 2 systems have that this week. No joke. 2. Now it just glows white and controller won't properly connect. Taking both in tomorrow to get fixed unfortunately

Mine is still show up “please wait “ then showing the bluescreen then go back to “please wait”, still doesn’t show the doesnt turn off well
When it's turning on the light is blue, but when it's fully on, the light turns white and doesn't flicker, when the CD is inside it gives me a couple minutes until the screen goes dark and have to back to menu, if I try to shut it off it'll freeze and I have to force it off, it keeps persisting

I’m having a problem with my ps4 pro with it staying on solid white. The display on the tv and audio work perfectly but my controller and new controller won’t connect at all. Every time it’s just flashing white, I got it to connect once but both my controller and ps4 light remained solid white which won’t let me handle anything.
