My 19yr son literally just looked this up and found so much underwear and socks and is currently trying to put our belt back on. He’s taken initiative to fix it himself and I couldn’t be more proud of him. Thank you for offering this information. It’s truly awesome of you
Just found six socks behind my front panel (all mine 😅). Belt didn’t even fall off, just jammed. Worked immediately after. Thank you so much for this video!!
I just found a misplaced belt AND an embarrassing amount of long lost socks PLUS socks from the previous owners! Thank you for helping this first time home owner save some money!
One putty knife and five minutes saved both the washer and about 5 socks! Thanks for addressing the actual issue instead of the usual lid-lock solution.
This video is incredible and super useful. You have saved me $200-300. I just followed simple steps and put the belt back on and it worked. I spent 3 hours calling different people to come and fix, and took me 30 min to resolve this one my own following this video. Amazing 🙏
Thank you soooo much. My son has the same stackable and the same issue. A plumber quoted him $800 over the phone and told him to just buy a new one. I'm his mother a 60 year old woman and when he went to work today I went on you tube and found your video and fixed it. You're video was great you're a good man thank you so much.
Found your video right away. It was exactly what I needed. Fix the washing machine all by myself without having to call someone for the first time! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! Literally just found my underwear wrapped around the motor! 😂 You just saved us hundreds of dollars. And, for a financially-struggling young family celebrating their 6-month-old’s first Christmas soon, that means the world. Thank you
hey bud, watched your video half an hour ago, and yeah, my washer wasn't spinning 'cause the belt fell off. took me five minutes to fix. thanks man, I know this video's a year old, but it's plenty useful. glad you made it.
Thank you so much. It helped us a lot. We struggled with the issue for the past 2 days. Finally, I found your video. We got it fixed in less than 5 minutes. Thanks a lot once again. Saved much dollars without calling repair person.
Adding to the chorus of thanks: it was such an easy fix, and we excavated 10 socks that we thought were lost to time! Such a great video that is to the point and clear. Thank you again.
Thank you SO much for this video! We found NOT one, but about TEN socks down there!!! For sure that had to be why our belt fell off. Thank you again so much!
So thankful! ❤ We had this unit we moved to storage when it worked fine, then moved it back in and it didn't work! Found this video for my husband and it to watch, and sure enough, the belt was laying in the ground just like you showed!🎉 Thanks for taking the time to share your tips, it saved us for sure!!!
Ohh Brother, Thank you so much for sharing this video. I searched so many video to diagnose the problem but this video has saved the repair cost or probably new washer dryer cost. Found all of my toddlers missing socks and put the belt back on the motor. God bless you!
This video keeps on giving. Thank you! Seven socks and a few pairs of underwear smh, I was able to easily put on the belt. I'm sure this will continue to help people for years to come.
Thanks for your video! This got me started with my fix, unfortunately mine wasn't the belt or Thermo actuator, it was a sock that got into the drain pump, but your video definitely got me to the right area. Mine was making the similar noises to yours, when i had the front panel off and did some investigating, there were a ton of clothes in there, but the belt was still in tact and spun manually. I turned it on again, and found the noise was coming from the drain pump. I was able to use a wet-vac to get as much water from the tub as possible, disconnected the hose from the pump and pulled out the sock. its up and running again! saved me $$ from having to call in a repair person. :)
Thanks bud. This helped. In our case it was just the drive belt. More than just one sock inside the machine though. couple socks, pair of underwear, work glove... lol. Saved us having to get a repair guy here. Thanks again! :D
Thanks. The instructions was good and clear. Straight to the point. Just remember. If it is made out of plastic. The item is made to break. Plastic is not a good material for long term quality. 20 years. The life of a washer.
Thank you sssssoooo much! You're video was SO helpful, easy to follow and saved me lots of money. Old belt was frayed had to order new one - installed in under 5 minutes.
Thank you thank you thank you! Saved me a hefty repair fee! I opened up the front of the machine and was greeted with a year's worth of socks burying the belt. Once I cleaned it out and reattached the belt it ran like new again!!
Thank you! My husband works offshore and something always seems to break while he's gone. I was able to watch your video and fix my washer by myself!! 😅
My local appliance guy wanted over six hundred dollars to fix this for me, and to transport it to his shop. It was just a belt! Damn, thank you for saving me so much money which I don't have. I also feel so good for having fixed it myself :D
Thank you so much!!!! Embarrassed we found like thirty socks and our belt was popped off too lol thank u so much u saved us a lot of money and headaches!!!!
Thank you so much ! I’m no man but was able to fix it following your instructions. I just had guests over for Thanksgiving and have tons of laundry to do so was panicking that it didn’t spin as it was my first load after they left. I don’t have the type of knife you used in the video so I used the dinner strong knife and was able to open the front cover. And Yes! Found tons of socks and underwear. My 10’year son pointed out that they were from the previous owner lol Very helpful clip! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your video! We had a professional look at our washer and couldn’t fix it. But when we tried ourselves one more time using your video, it worked!
Omgggg the satisfaction I feel right now bc like you, I’ve watched a couple videos and they weren’t helping. I tried the motor reset (unplug one for one minute, within 30 seconds- open and fully close lid 6 times) Anyways.. it took some time for me to get the cover off. I used my putty tool, but one corner was being stubborn. Finally, with some leverage, I got the left corner to pop out. My 7 year old was a big helper! He was all for encouragement! 🥰 We laughed at the amount of socks (& an even a couple Covid masks 😷) that we found! And I couldn’t believe how spot on you were! Sure enough, exactly as this video - there was the belt! And this time it was me being stubborn bc getting the belt back on took some time - my model is slightly different, but still, your instructions to loop the back end and then get one front side on and turn the gear until the belt fits in place was again spot on! I had my unit unplugged bc at the start when I was taking the front off, I did something and the washer started making sounds like it was trying to work/run a cycle, but no water filled. I unplugged it and continued to work at removing the front cover. Got the socks cleared out && reattached the belt. Attempted a cycle run, but it just made that same sound, again with no movement or water. I noticed in the bottom left corner there was a wired mechanism. I pushed the connector pieces and realized one was loose - and voilà! Tightening that loose connection was the last piece to fixing it! Long-winded comment, I know! But I’m literally so excited!! 😁 Thank you!!! 🙏 🙌 Now … off to find a video on how to clean that fabric softener dispenser 😅
Dude, amazing video and thanks for posting. I was freaking out about a new washer/dryer or repair person... found several socks and undies, and it was my daughter's swimsuit that was the culprit for the belt coming off!
Thanks for teaching me how to remove the front panel! Now I can see what might be the problem! Thanks for starting with the basics “how do i get to the good bits to see what’s wrong?”
Thank you so much, we bought this house a little over a year ago and the washer and dryer came with it. We started having this issue with the washer a couple days ago so I find this video, follow the steps and sure enough someone’s whole sock drawer and a couple skivvies were down there with a belt off the track, cleaned it out and got the belt back, works just like it used to now. Thanks again!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!! This worked so perfect and now my washer is back to normal! Found so many socks 🤦🏾♀️ You are Awesome and I'm sharing this on ALL my social media 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Your video was extremely helpful. Although I didn't have the same issue I was able to troubleshoot the serious issues and confirm what I thought was happening was a much simpler solution. Plus now I know all this cool stuff !
It's called a Termoactuator, I looked it up for my daughter's GE stacked model(not sure if you said Thermo or Termo). I just sent her this link so she can get the front panel off to tell me the belt is in what state and we'll go from there. Great video thanks for this. Cheers
Thank You SO MUCH for this video, you saved me $250.00 In technician repair fees. A baby sock got stuck in the drain pump which caused the thermal actuator to burn out. An easy repair and the part only cost me $25.
Thank you so much! It was the exact same problem except we had 32 socks and two pairs of underwear around the bottom from overloading…. Let that sink in lol. You’re a beast man, my wife was about to send me to Lowe’s to get a new washer and dryer unit.
ok wow, my washer wasn't drying the clothes (turns out I now know it also wasn't really washing them haha) and I came to youtube after finding very little troubleshooting help online. I'm so glad I found your video - I had this exact issue!! I reattached the belt and it fell off again almost immediately. I can tell it's very worn out. I've ordered a replacement. thank you!!
I don’t know how much money you just saved me but thank you so much. I’m a complete moron with this stuff and that was easy to follow. All fixed! Thank you thank you thank you 😊
Excellent video man. My issue was a wash cloth lodged inside hose. Washer over filled extra large capacity setting and too many clothes. When in spin cycle started the wash cloth was thrown overboard behind inner drum and sucked into hose!!!! There is just enough of a gap at the top of inner drum for something to be slung overboard
Opened the face panel just how it shows on video found a ton of socks and belt laying on floor put belt back on and started washing again. Thanks for posting
Great video, I had to replace my Thermo Actuator too. Totally easy fix…..until you find the drain pump was jammed with the tub cover o-ring that fell apart after replacement. All is well now, with somewhat minimal water mess! Thanks for the video!
Awesome video and a huge help! Only thing is that to take the front piece off you have to Push the putty knife pretty hard into that crease/crack to loosen that front piece. Thanks!!!!
Thank you for your easy to understand, quick, step by step demonstration and explanation! It worked!! My story was almost exact as yours!! Washer Repair for Dummies🤪 This girl will not be overfilling the tub Ever Again!!
Thanks a lot lot man! Your video was super well explain and you saved me tons of time looking around about the procedure. It was exactly like you said. Everything’s working fine now.
I figured it was the belt on my machine. I was lost on getting the cover off. You made q long day into a very short one. Guess I will sneak in a nap before the wife gets back.
Didn't fix my issue but seeing you the only one with the putty knife helped me not eff up the paint and damage clip with a fat screw driver like the tech videos
Thank you the easy explaination and more than 1 solution. I found a massive pile of socks, and I thought my kids where taking my socks! Belt was on but when it tried to engage to spin the gear dropped down but was in wrong position moved the teeth and it worked! But when spinning mine is still super loud. Like ball barrings are bad, did spray belt didnt help the noise.
😂I totally loved the humor and sarcasm! Lol so you totally taught me how to get that front open without a putty knife (my substitute was a long flat head). Never have I ever lol😅 seen the insides of a overworked and never paid washer and I felt for my little count on cleaning machine!!!!😮 You had just 1 sock right? Let's just say I could've adopted yours to complete the football team I had. Not to mention all the dirt and dust bunnies that can't seem to find a rabbit hole to dive into! I'll take full accountability and responsibility right here and now: Hi. My name is Crash and I'm an appliance abuser!😢 Crazy how one cleans behind, under and between everything in the open and even the outside of appliances but, never thinks about the inside and all the year's little engine was going even when it technically shouldn't have been. As a former Navy Bos'n Locker fixer of all deck sanders, needle guns etc., who had no clue but did never give up until it was fixed, I can see why house appliances quickly pass away and are replaced with the newest. Let's just say, it's not because of their inadequacy or choice but instead because of our wanting to overload and cram and hurry as we bypass the label instructions. 😊 Thank you for your totally awesome tutorial BUT......😮 say I had a friend of a friend that the spinner motor was spinning but the belt was on strike still yet, still attached. . . Would you by chance have any advice or suggestions related? Remember, this is just a what if scenario thing but I'm sure the friend of the friend would be much appreciative and obliged for you input. ❤❤❤
My 19yr son literally just looked this up and found so much underwear and socks and is currently trying to put our belt back on. He’s taken initiative to fix it himself and I couldn’t be more proud of him. Thank you for offering this information. It’s truly awesome of you
That is fantastic. You have a good kid on your hands.
Just found six socks behind my front panel (all mine 😅). Belt didn’t even fall off, just jammed. Worked immediately after. Thank you so much for this video!!
He must be a snowflake.
Sounds like you're raising a good young man. Congratulations!
I can’t get the front panel to pop the hooks are pushed in
Two years and your video is still helping people. That's what's up.. appreciate you man
I just found a misplaced belt AND an embarrassing amount of long lost socks PLUS socks from the previous owners! Thank you for helping this first time home owner save some money!
Man you just saved my poor mother alot of money. Fixed her washer in five minutes. God bless
You made my day.
A year later and still helping people. Thank you.
One putty knife and five minutes saved both the washer and about 5 socks! Thanks for addressing the actual issue instead of the usual lid-lock solution.

This is the Most USEFUL appliance video I've seen so far. Thank You
Thanks!. Your steps fixed my machine. Recently retired and was thrill that I did not have to call a service repair person.
Thank you! 🙏 from a fellow Canadian victim of a sick washer and dryer 😊
Thank you, women really need this kind of information, can’t always afford a repair guy.
Ohh Brother, Thank you so much for sharing this video. I searched so many video to diagnose the problem but this video has saved the repair cost or probably new washer dryer cost. Found all of my toddlers missing socks and put the belt back on the motor. God bless you!
THIS is my 'Go To' video to open the front which I Always forget how to do !! Thank You !!

Fixed my washer today thanks to this. Perfect explanation, although you made the belt install look a lot easier!
Thanks bud. This helped. In our case it was just the drive belt. More than just one sock inside the machine though. couple socks, pair of underwear, work glove... lol. Saved us having to get a repair guy here. Thanks again! :D
Thank you! This was exactly what my problem was. I wish all instructional videos were made this way!😁
So good to hear. Thank you for the comment
❤😢😂
SAME! legit just fixed it
You saved my socks stuck down here from a terrible future. Thank you. You are doing gods work
Thanks. The instructions was good and clear. Straight to the point. Just remember. If it is made out of plastic. The item is made to break. Plastic is not a good material for long term quality. 20 years. The life of a washer.
Thank you sir! This video just spared my family a major financial and time inconvenience.
Thank you sssssoooo much! You're video was SO helpful, easy to follow and saved me lots of money. Old belt was frayed had to order new one - installed in under 5 minutes.

Dude I can't thank you enough! We also found literally about 20 missing socks and underwear 😂
Lol
Dude ! I found my 10 mm socket ! 😂
🎉
hahaha that's probably where my socks are too lmao.
Dude, amazing video and thanks for posting. I was freaking out about a new washer/dryer or repair person... found several socks and undies, and it was my daughter's swimsuit that was the culprit for the belt coming off!

I went through soooooo many videos, this is the one that saved me. thanks so much
Great to hear
Very helpful you save me a lot of trouble with this video. The belt was off on my washer and i found the missing pairs of all my socks. Thank you!!!!
Your video was extremely helpful. Although I didn't have the same issue I was able to troubleshoot the serious issues and confirm what I thought was happening was a much simpler solution. Plus now I know all this cool stuff !
??? What was happening with your machine...
Thank you for your post, it was extremely helpful! I removed all the socks and stuff under the tub and put the belt back on and it worked perfectly!
It's called a Termoactuator, I looked it up for my daughter's GE stacked model(not sure if you said Thermo or Termo). I just sent her this link so she can get the front panel off to tell me the belt is in what state and we'll go from there. Great video thanks for this. Cheers
Thank You SO MUCH for this video, you saved me $250.00
In technician repair fees.
A baby sock got stuck in the drain pump which caused the thermal actuator to burn out. An easy repair and the part only cost me $25.
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing
How did you find the sock? I have a feeling that’s what I have going on
This was SO helpful!! I was able to cancel my appt with my repair guy and I'm back to doing laundry!! THANK YOU
Fantastic!
Thank you so much! It was the exact same problem except we had 32 socks and two pairs of underwear around the bottom from overloading…. Let that sink in lol. You’re a beast man, my wife was about to send me to Lowe’s to get a new washer and dryer unit.
Lol
ok wow, my washer wasn't drying the clothes (turns out I now know it also wasn't really washing them haha) and I came to youtube after finding very little troubleshooting help online. I'm so glad I found your video - I had this exact issue!! I reattached the belt and it fell off again almost immediately. I can tell it's very worn out. I've ordered a replacement. thank you!!
Thank you so much for making this video. It helped me solve the problem easily without spending any money. You're awesome!
Thank you. Because of this, my washing machine was fixed.😊
Followed your video and the washer is fixed!!! You are a great teacher! Pb and Cb.
I don’t know how much money you just saved me but thank you so much. I’m a complete moron with this stuff and that was easy to follow. All fixed! Thank you thank you thank you 😊
$300 - $400 bones I think. Good to hear!
Goated video, even the point where you explained how to easily get the loop on between the two gears. Very helpful, thank you.
Thanks …… you totally helped me fix my machine, it was exactly what you described. Much appreciated you saved me some money!
Thank you sincerely. You just saved me a few hundreds of dollars.
Thank you so much man!. You just save me a couple dollars in repairs. Thank you again!
Opened the face panel just how it shows on video found a ton of socks and belt laying on floor put belt back on and started washing again.
Thanks for posting
Dude thanks a bunch under a tight budget and it definitely has helped us in our small business
OMG this was my problem exactly, socks had piled up and dislodged the belt maybe. Thank you so much great video
Great video, I had to replace my Thermo Actuator too. Totally easy fix…..until you find the drain pump was jammed with the tub cover o-ring that fell apart after replacement.
All is well now, with somewhat minimal water mess!
Thanks for the video!
Thank you!! Putting the belt back on was not easy but I’m glad I was able to do this so maintenance wouldn’t have to see all those socks 😆
Thank you so much for this video! My belt had fallen off from Sox being caught between the belt. EZ fix thanks to you!
Thank you for making this video, today I fixed my washing machine thanks to you, God bless you and Merry Christmas
Awesome video and a huge help! Only thing is that to take the front piece off you have to
Push the putty knife pretty hard into that crease/crack to loosen that front piece. Thanks!!!!
I watched 100 videos with no avail and this was it
I got your back.
Seeing this two years later. Thanks so much for this
Thank you for your easy to understand, quick, step by step demonstration and explanation! It worked!! My story was almost exact as yours!! Washer Repair for Dummies🤪
This girl will not be overfilling the tub Ever Again!!
Thank you, Thank you so much I fixed my washer last night took me all 10 minutes ❤😊🙏🏾

Thank you for this! Followed your video. lo and behold, the belt had fallen off. Easy fix!
Thank you. 🙏🏼 You literally saved me time and money. And also made me realize I need a new belt but at least I know how to replace now.
Not my favorite type of narration style but it’s as effective as they were in the early 2000s how its made series. Cheers
Thanks a lot lot man! Your video was super well explain and you saved me tons of time looking around about the procedure. It was exactly like you said. Everything’s working fine now.
Great, thank you for the positive comment.
+😊😊
Thank you!! Fixed the washer and solved the sock mystery!
Just used this video to fix mine! Same problem. Belt fell off. Tons of socks and some washrags inside. Thank you thank you thank you!
Side note: mine looked a bit different inside, but same concept. GE model #GUD27ESPM1DG
There’s a gap between the drum and the top and small items fall into the gap when I’m loading/unloading the washer and/or dryer.
I figured it was the belt on my machine. I was lost on getting the cover off. You made q long day into a very short one. Guess I will sneak in a nap before the wife gets back.
Thank you so much for making this video my band was off and I had no idea you probably save me a hundred or more
Awesome
Didn't fix my issue but seeing you the only one with the putty knife helped me not eff up the paint and damage clip with a fat screw driver like the tech videos
Thank you so much. You saved me so much time and money in fixing this myself.
Thank you the easy explaination and more than 1 solution. I found a massive pile of socks, and I thought my kids where taking my socks! You had just 1 sock right? Let's just say I could've adopted yours to complete the football team I had.
Not to mention all the dirt and dust bunnies that can't seem to find a rabbit hole to dive into!
I'll take full accountability and responsibility right here and now:
Hi. My name is Crash and I'm an appliance abuser!😢
Crazy how one cleans behind, under and between everything in the open and even the outside of appliances but, never thinks about the inside and all the year's little engine was going even when it technically shouldn't have been.
Thank you for your totally awesome tutorial BUT......😮
say I had a friend of a friend that the spinner motor was spinning but the belt was on strike still yet, still attached. . .
Would you by chance have any advice or suggestions related?
Remember, this is just a what if scenario thing but I'm sure the friend of the friend would be much appreciative and obliged for you input. ❤❤❤
