I really love this: it’s just sophisticated-sounding enough to show you how much Maya’s grown, but it’s still bouncy and quirky enough to remind you that she’s still the same goof at heart that she always was!
That was an indeed a powerful shot of feels. The moment I saw, our girl, now all grown up, but on the inside stil the same warm and cheerful Maya/Mayoi we know and love. That's the power of this series, I got so attached to her, I just couldn't contain my anger, that she was absent in two previous games (admit it, it just wasn't the same without her), but then I got to see her again, and just like that, everything was alright.

That case was a great blast of nostalgia, having Maya be your partner again, facing Edgeworth in court again, and dealing with freakin' Larry's antics. Come on, the guy tries to run off with someone else's bride, but amazingly enough draws a Pterodactyl that *spoilers* apparently only turned out to be a sign that blew past his window, but dang, I don't know what Edgeworth is talking about but Larry's drawing has gotten better.
I love hearing this theme again, I love Maya. The theme got revived beautifully, showing how much she has improved, finally at a level where she can take over as Master of Kurain. Though her personality has not changed at all which is great. She really showed off her channeling in this game though she didn't have much screen time since is was taken up by Tahrust Inmee's testimony and contorting prayer poses. Plus, Maya gets arrested more than a career criminal. Can this woman ever be around Phoenix without ending up in the slammer?

She still lives on as her teachings were the foundation for Phoenix's. It always makes me smile when Apollo or Athena "flip their way of thinking" or keep smiling until the bitter end since it all originated with Armando and has been passed down multiple times. Plus Mia and Phoenix's arc ended with 3-5, for better or worse (she could've potentially helped with the case immediately after). Though he definitely doesn't need her help in DD or SoJ
