Good on you for doing this. My BW Magnum has done 12,000km in 3 years on dirt roads. I would not let any of my friends ride down our dirt driveway for fear they would break the trike or themselves not being able to stop. The amount of pressure required on the brake levers is crazy. And they squeal, need cleaning regularly and it took 9 months to get replacement brake shoes from Europe. I will be saving my pennies to buy the kit. Love the Rotovelo body too. Gary Briggs
I bought the GS Magnum disc brake kit from Trisled. Thanks to Ben for lacing a set of wheels and Rebecca for dealing with the order. I feel a lot safer on the road now. One handed braking is awesome and fitting the kit to my trike was straightforward. Thanks Trisled Gary Briggs
Is there a ballpark AUD$ amount I'd want to budget for, before getting in touch about a Back of Bourke? With perhaps a Bafang Ultra? Do you know if it fits through the doors of a V/Line? Would it be capable of hauling 180kg? Always enjoy a new Trisled video! Cheers.
Don't really get why anyone would want to put discs on a Magnum- 3500 km plus on my Big Wheel's drums and after initial bed in at 800km, ive only needed to adjust them once. With discs I would probably be on my 2nd or 3rd set of pads. How bout a mod that makes a positive difference like a bolt on front fairing to save energy? Have considered making a wire frame to put glad wrap or thin tent fabric over to be super lightweight.
We stopped making wire frame fairings about 25 years ago. They are truly terrible. Not especially aerodynamic, lack durability, offer little to no functional weather protection, dangerous during fast descents and in cross winds. If it were something that offered a “positive difference” it would be something we would have offered years ago

You obviously have two functional hands. Good for you

I also rejected your 2 or 3 sets of disc pads claim. I’ve seen a Rotovelo with over 30000km on it with its original disc rotors and pads:
