I believe originally they recommended 5w30, but later changed it to 0w30. That's what my dealers said. I think either will work well, personally I run with Castrol 5w30, I have same N20 engine

They say 0wx30 is better for mileage and colder temperatures. I haven't noticed any difference to be honest.

My f30 says 0w-20 right under the hood of the car
@@jameshernandez1451 This is the minimum spec. Better use 0W 30 resp. 0W 40 if you drive fast e.g. on track.

Hm if you go in site any bmw oil is not compatible for 328i... i think for that car is good 5w 30 Castrol or smth other

Well, that what BMW dealer told me. But you are right - in Owner's manual it says 5W-30, and it recommends Castrol
