When you enter combat against enemies with which you already have been in combat they won't get surprised anymore from you attacking them while being invisible. However, if you sneak while also being invisible they will get surprised.
Very nice! What kept him from healing in between battles? Steeped in Bliss is helping you land psionic blast, and giving them vuln to psionic, and is there anything else it is helping with? It just gives them (and you) adv on physical checks, but not saves? Great idea using that. On a side note, I've found that BG3 is quite interesting restricting oneself to solo, no respec, single class (plus the usual like honor and no barrels). I have nothing but admiration for this run you did; it is brilliant and great content. I just find that that set of restrictions gives the most replayability and such, and allows each class to play differently and so forth.

As for the Resonance Stone (Steeped in Bliss), it's like you said for the the pisonic vulnerability and the disadvantage on mental saving throws to boost my psionic blast. Indeed BG3 has a very high replayability via challenge runs and with the multiclass system you almost have endless possibilities for your character builds. Gotta say BG3 is a massive step up from Larain's last RPG game DOS2 and DOS2 already was a very good game.

Seeing this on tactician difficulty taught me how unimaginative I am in combat, but gave me hope for my own intelligence. When I fought him, my plan of engagement at least kept him from ever using the “gather souls” thing to heal.

I'd say it's pretty damn challenging to come up with something like this especially if you don't have 500+ hours in game and didn't watch 20+ build and tips & tricks videos at which point you could cheese almost any game, RPG at least.
@@papazky2030 well, sure. No game will ever replace an actual DnD session with a good DM, apart from maybe advanced AI in the far future. You have to be a part-DM for yourself because a game like BG3 or Neverwinter are more akin to DnD frameworks, playgrounds where you can tailor your adventure. It would be less fun overall if it imposed more restrictions even if it meant there would be less cheese imo.

Correct me if I´m wrong, but I guess you´re using a multiclass of level 10 storm/draconic sorecerer and level 2 tempest cleric, so, my question is, how did you get the 6th level spellslot if the sorcerer gets it at level 11? Or is there something I´m missing?
i made shadowheart utilty bot multi class hell, currently 2 bard, 1 wizard, 7 cleric, i have 6th lvl slots but only know up to 4th lvl spells, outside of some wizard cheese.
haha :D 0 actually, I just respecced into wizard and put all my stats into INT and WIS and with my inspiration points I was able to get past the checks in one go. :)
@@SleepingDog. next time respec into one level of barbarian and put everything into constituion. you get the option to make the hardest check with advantage as barbarian because it is constitution. also don't forget to bring two party members, one to cast Bless and one to cast resistance. use guidance and now you're good :)

I completed honour mode a week ago and I abused this mostly, I noticed this happened with every boss except the legendary action owlbear mate which still had its regen. You can basically complete honour mode with a pact imp with the same principles applied in the video 🤣

Orin is another example where the healing mechanism doesn't bug and I killed her fair same with the final fight. Say what you want but I got my completion by doing some fights and I 1 manned every fight too, so there is also that.
@@jap5170 I also finished the game solo by resetting fights through invis (on tactician when honour was not out yet), but I had to struggle a lot through it as then invis resets triggered self heals if you didn't reinitiate the fight right away. You can prevent them from healing without using a bug. Just attack as soon as the fight ended. When you have higher ini and can surprise your enemy, you get two free rounds of dmg each individual fight.

Yes though, if I could go back in time I would choose the Open Hand Monk over the Tempest Storm Sorc, since Raphael doesn't have Legendary Resistance. Using the Aoe scrolls to kill all of Rapheal's goons and then perma stun him. Might even be able to take him down in one go like this, if I have good rolls.
More or less. You need to sleep with Haarlep and then when he is trying to consume your soul you surrender your body to him instead. He will accept this and then tell you how to steal the Orphic Hammer and that Raphael is bad in bed, if you ask him about that.
Not if you can believe the last changes of Larian's patch. There they say that enemies will now walk inside the darkness to attack you instead of skipping their turn.
@@stefenleung He can, with his fists. Raphael is not he big problem though, but rather the Eternal Debtor who will run up to you and then self explode, which then also can break your concentration for the darkness spell.
you can split the vendor’s money into smaller portions, and the dc to steal 50-100 gold is somewhere around -1, -2 (with bonuses applied) for a good thief.
this kinds of videos are nonsense to me .. i mean yeah it can be "impressive" for somes .. but just going invi, leaving the fight to come back and doing it x time till you finish it .. at this point just put all the explosive powder barrels + the dwarf bombs you get in act 1 and 3 and that's it you one turn any bosses ..
The alternative without cheese is just having enemies miss every attack while you crit every time, achieved over hundreds of separate attempts. This isn't tabletop with an actual human DM allowing you to come up with creative solutions to every problem.
Meh. No point in doing it Honor no Gear mode if you are gonna cheese him like that. The mobbing with the invis was cool in the beginning, but then basically you are just exploiting the game, with absolutely no mechanical ability needed like in speed runs for example. I thought there was some skill involved here.

Spell slots are calculated by adding total caster levels. Sorcerer 10 and Cleric 2 are still equal to a level 12 caster in spell slots.

I also casted minor illusion but nobody bothers checking the cat out. They just stand there as if nothing were there.
Sometimes you need to cast it multiple times for them to react.

Why did raphael not heal to full in between fights like at 6:20? In my game NPCs always heal to full if I leave a fight with invis potion.
