This man deserves a tig welder. Great work man.

respect!...professional in metal work. can do anything...keep it up.
Baie Dankie/ Merci. I have the same lamp here. It has been use in the pre-1960's in South Africa. With back-outs of the post-2000's I wante to get the old lamp ready, but know one knows how it works. Not even the old people. I ques after living to European standards for so many decades it difficult to change back ...
With those upgrades it should last at least a thousand years. Nice work.
That was all expert skill level.🍎🍎🍎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙂
Very good restoration 👍👍👍
That is very impressive. Fantastic work!
Thanks
Excellent restoration, myself using Citric acid to gently remove corrosion of those brass parts but grinding goes as well I see, From your vid. I learned 2 possible leakage points of my own lamp, I need to check if these help it to keep its pressure better (using plumbers tape to seal better and that pressure valve on the bottom of the pump) Have a nice day.
Yes. Thanks
Great lamp you restored
Mr. NVC very good restoration paraffin lamp 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
What a great job. This was more of a rebuild than a restoration.👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks
Excelente trabajo, la lámpara estaba muy deteriorada y usted la hizo funcionar muy bien
Inacreditável, ser técnico e profissional pra você e infinitamente pouco. Estou impressionadissmo.
Fantástica restauración. Muy minuciosa y perfecto trabajo. Felicidades.
This kind of lamp was very popular in my home land 1970 - 1980. I know how to operate, how to fix it. Thanks for memorable video.....
Sir you have my serious respect....first i thought.. no way he´s gonna do this....but you succeeded....very good job, top
Wow it works!!!! nice job...
Lovely job!
Great job!
MARAVILHOSO...LINDÍSSIMO...!!!!
You did an excellent job fabricating all the replacement parts and with little equipment. Nice result.
Amazing,Want to go back to the past, iam very happy
That was amazing thank you for the video.
OMG ! This lamp 1970s my father usual used when electrical off .tks post this video .my childhood. My function is pump & adjust fire
That’s impressive
Another beautiful paraffin lamp brought back to life. Well, replacing some parts can't be helped because they were beyond salvageable. By the way, you can buy a cylindrical glass shield to replace those panes of glass, just like the one installed in the paraffin lamp we have at home.
Super work!
For some reason the chickens had me cracking up. YOu got to show us the chickens.
really well done ..great work!!!
Great work man👍
Where you from brother ?
Great job man creative continue
With this lamp I remember my childhood.👍
Круто! Молодец!
I remember when I was little and in the village. at that time it was still rarely used
I came for the background chickens...
🐓
Good work Mate! 😊👍👍🍺🍺🍺
First.i wanna tell you.wonderfull job.
2.i think u should put glases full ....it ll be no air gap there, so light ll be so bright.
3.missing 1 part.that the cap .usually any cap in top of lamp.
Haw mach
Hey man you did a great job
Tell a site from where can I buy that pressure gauge it's not there and also the pumping tube
Nice job
What a well made lamp. Excellent job. I wish they made products like that. I’d pay the price. The modern led lamps are great, they’re just not the same.
Hey Aaron, Pretty much the same lamp is still available brand new from more than just one maker, usually googling lamp name "Petromax" helps, Don't know the quality of these modern products, though.... these old lamps have more of "that something", have a nice day.
That NVR pip needs replacing not flattening. Also it is not normal to use ptfe tape as where you use it , it is not needed.
Wow amazing
What a memory, i wish i could go back to this lamp era 👍🏻😄
Just buy a Petromax HK500... is the same lamp
@@tobiasadam172 ok
Very nice !
The sound of those birds when sped up....
Saya mau tanya beli kaos lampu nya dimana ?
Nice job nice thank-you
Tenho um lampião desse vou fazer o mesmo que você fez só para vê-lo funcionando
Você fez?
Nice work as usual. Ever considered a Tig welder? There are ways to convert the welder you have.
I still have not enough money to upgrade to tig welding machine
@@MRNVCDIY That, I understand. Lets hope things improve for you and your wallet.. You're at a point now where improving your equipment is about the only way you can do more or better. With what you're capable of, it's a wonder you don't get some paying gigs.
Thanks. I will convert the welder.
@@MRNVCDIY You're a great restorer. You do fantastic. What you can do, machiing parts and all amazes me.So far as I can see, only the welder could be better. I don't know how much you know about Tig welding, but it will allow you more precision, more filling capacity, and uses less and finer control of the heat to help reduce warpage. If you get one and get some practice and the right rod, you can weld up a soda can.No joke, I've seen it done, tho I was never that good. Most places I worked welding used mig or stick Tig was reserved for fine work.
That's really awesome you made it can you tell me from where I can that all small parts of it eg the meter
very good
Вот это и есть НАСТОЯЩАЯ реконструкция !

video restore is too detailed, you have a very high level, great machining techniques
This is some next level witchcraft. The teabag - why does it glow? Why does it not turn to teabag ash? Aliens?
As a lantern collector, I did not understand this lantern "restore". The lantern appears to be a Petromax knock-off. As such, replacement parts abound. So why not use replacement parts instead of welding and building? The fount could have been soaked in Evap-O-Rust and then lightly polished and waxed or restored by re-plating. The ventilator could have been simply replaced with available replacement parts. The glass globe was really interesting and seems to be a variant of the US Army quadrant glass globes used in the 252 and 252A lanterns. Obviously homemade. Your reconstruction of the glass quadrant globe is fascinating, but way overkill. You could have just replaced with a new glass globe. Btw, I appreciate both Petromax and the knock-off (copies) lanterns. Fantastic design and great kerosene burners! I hope your next "restore" produces better results.
Thanks comment
So Naic looking bro

Childhood memory❤️, That time it was called "HAJAK" in bengali
好久没见过啦
Can't be real because it isn't covered in brick dust or sand and mud. ."covering optional". Check out the stuff from the eastern part of the world if you don't believe me. They really know how to repair things that aren't broken or in need of restoration. By the way you did that piece proud, cracking resto job.
J'ai une en très bon état.de peinture inox d'origine sans aucune modification
Where do you live Mr. NVC? It must be on a farm, I can hear the chickens in the background! I love how you restore those old tools, you're quite a talented craftsman.
Very nice Origami template! Your rebuilt band saw is getting lots of use.
Thanks
I like your job
classic
INI BARU MUANTAB AKU SUKA😍👍🙏🙏🙏
What grade buffer wheel are you using to polish the parts and was it wet & dry sandpaper you used to scour the smaller parts?
👌 good
Good

Hello I have the problem that the fuel returns through the hole of the non-return valve of the air pump, how could I solve it. Thanks.
Whats the difference between a paraffin lamp compared to one that runs off white gas like a Coleman Lantern?
Seriously.. You need to restore your chickens too..😋
👍
In Indonesia that lamp called : strongking/petromax
Or "Dian Gaspun".., hahaha..

R u from India.... I also have the same lamp n wants to restoration
I have the same in srilanka but not in use
It bothers me that he didn't put everything in a rust removal solution, instead he half assed grinded them then paint
Does it matter? Rust removal chemicals don't restore the metal, once it's oxidized it's gone. Chemistry only replaces the elbow grease, not the steel. If there wasn't any good metal under the rust layer, it would be hopeless.
Sir mere paas bhi same lamp h mere daada ji ki nisaani h restoration ho jayega Sir.. Sir aap ki shop kaha pe h sir?
