Is your bike needing more power? Contact us today for all of your motorcycle performance and custom tuning needs! 727-256-0001.
We're located in St. Petersburg, Florida, but people are shipping their bikes from all over the country for custom dyno tuning at Proven Power Cycles for a reason! Let's give your bike the power it wants!
Today at Proven Power Cycles, we have a 2024 Kawasaki ZX6r. The new 24 zx6r are now Euro 5 emission compliant bikes. What does Europe have to do with the US motorcycle market? Well, Europe is extremely strict when it comes to many things including the USB-C charging debate... "All phone must adopt USB-C charging by 2024".
When it comes to emissions and other items, the European Union basically says, "If you can't manufacture to our standards, then you can't sell your product in Europe". And since they are such a huge part of most markets, big manufacturers, especially those that make cars and motorcycles, must comply to sell their products. And also, since it's expensive to make separate products for each market, they just standardize one and we all get it.
Anyways, today we're going to give this bike it's power back. The electronics are different, the exhaust is different and the overall look has been lifted which kind of looks like the zx10r. Before tuning your bike, we recommend a cat delete and slip on to ensure full power. For off road use only of course. We can install your exhaust in the shop if that's something you don't want to handle yourself.
If you have the new 2024 Kawasaki ZX6R, let us know how you're getting more power and what you think about the bike!

Great Job Guy !!😺
Nice gains for a 600! Those little bikes can scream, good job 👍🏻
Thank you 🙏
Waiting a tune for KTM 1390 ❤
I have a 2024 ZX-6R in all black. Graves slip on exhaust and cat delete are the only "performance" mods so far. Looks like it will be well worth it to at least get my ECU flashed. Love this bike so far... and the Graves exhaust sounds NASTY. Would recommend.
Great video brother.
Nice setup on the bike! And yes, Def look to get it flashed, it should help out quiet a bit ! And thank you for the good words 🙏
I just got the 24 40th anniversary do you think I need to get my ecu flashed if I get a full exhaust system
@markmeadows8794 full system, yes. Slip on, no. Will just need a servo buddy with the slip on in place of an ECU flash.
@markmeadows8794 yes I would highly recommend it for your bike. It will benefit well from having it 👍
@@provenpowercyclesdo you know if European models are restricted as well or does this only count for the American market
good numbers for a 600
Need to make more zx14r videos
We have an 08 in the shop that we're going to do a video on! Should be pretty interesting!
So it makes the same HP as that 2023 gsxr 750 from the last video?
They put a good set of cams in the 2024 top end comes in strong
We would love to do a build on a 636. They have such good potential! We're trying to get a few guys to do some more work to get them in the 130s! 💪
Out of curiosity do you map flash any kawasaki for example true the ODP port thus leaving the ECU in place over here in Ireland and England there a couple of tuner mapping flashing the ECU true the ODP works from 2016 onward on a kawasaki
ZX 6 H2 and ZX14R you cant buy any more in Ireland euro dont meet bollock emissions crap
Some bikes, yes. Some we have to either remove the ecu from the bike and flash it on what's called a bench harness, or we have to wire in a harness to flash thru that. 🤙 I agree the emission stuff is getting pretty crazy on small engine stuff.
And what size sprockets would you say is the best for the new 2024 models ? I believe it’s 16/43 when it’s stock
Believe it or not, it is 15/43 stock. I would recommend going to a 16/43 though on them. Very popular mod here in FL with great results so far from the local street/track guys
What's your opinion on the new zx6r, does it better in term of performance inside track than the older zx6
I don't really have an opinion yet. I like the face-lift and new dash but still a little undecided yet on powerband and overall performance until we get more in with more mods! We have a couple lined up to come in so stay tuned 🙌
@@provenpowercycles nate from 2wheeldynowork says the improvement in the low and mid rpm power is what makes this zx6 better than the older zx6. Sure the older zx6 is faster in straight line, but around the corner the new zx6 is faster meaning new zx6 will be faster than the old one
Does the bike not come with 124 horsepower from factory? Do you have other models in the US?
That is crank hp or engine hp. We are measuring to the wheel on our dyno 🤙 usually about 13% drive train loss.
damn i wish yall wasnt in florida😭
I feel you bro! Hard to be everywhere! 😅
luckily i found somewhere to go@@provenpowercycles
Quick question: does the 2024 zx6 have auto blipper ?
Unfortunately no, zx4 does but because the 6 is still a cable throttle it doesn’t auto blip
What was the final mph it achieved on the dyno?
We don't test overall top speed on dyno. Too many variables to consider when running it on dyno vs the road and its not very good on the bearings on the dyno either. 🍻
I have an M4 slip on. If I do a cat delete do I have to have the bike tuned?
We recommend it! There will be a decent amount of gains to be made once you remove all the physical restrictions 👍
Where are you located?
St Petersburg, FL.
2013 and up for 636.
The new 2024s are now euro 5 which changes the ecu and tuning parameters 🤙
@provenpowercycles I was being extra on the part when you said "2012 for 636 motor." Hope all is well for you, good sir. 🤙
@@provenpowercycles I am from India. I just want to know if it's possible to tune the ecu by myself, I am familiar with programming languages but I don't know anything about ecu programming. I can't find any bike shops where ecu tuning is done, around me. What do you suggest? Shall I try to tune it myself, is it too dangerous?
@@lalaneverquit look up moore mafia he offered remote tuning or you could take the ECU out and send it to him is an other option
Definitely leave to the professional
@DSOXBLADE haha yessir I just rewatched video and caught it! 😅 you are right!
Why does it redline at 14k and not 16k like every other year zx6r
Different Cams, makes same-ish top end with a little more low and a bunch more mid range power and torque. Doesnt need to rev as high for the same power. good for engine longevity. less force on pistons helps with reliability
Probably some type of euro 5 limiter.
4:25 states minimal mods.
noise regulations maybe
@@MiguelBorgesphotography nope, Just a new engine
There is no sense in over reving the bike. Once the cylinder head is tapped out on the powerband, we usually shut it down shortly afterwards.
Some of our track guys opt to run the rpms higher knowing the risks (Engine failure by dropping or floating valves), so we push them past stock limits sometimes. 👍
