I own a motorcycle shop called Proven Power Cycles and do A LOT of ECU flashing/dyno tuning along with performance work on motorcycles.
I created this channel mainly to show motorcycle related videos, how to videos, educational videos about tuning, tips on making your bike faster, answering common questions and more!

A motorcycle brand with probably the largest fan base.. Suzuki. The GSX-R1000 is a great platform. This video we have a brand new 2024 GSXR1000 in. This bike is completely stock but it won't be like that for long! We'll do the stock base pulls so you can see exactly what these gsxr modifications will do for you and your bike! Once we get all of the base line dyno numbers, we'll transform this bike with a full titanium graves exhaust system, p08 air filter and of course, a full ECU flash dyno tune! lately it's been a lot of kawasakis in the shop, but the Suzuki motorcycle platform is a key part of this shop. We've done a ton of them! Another big question we get asked a lot is how much weight savings do you get when you do an aftermarket exhaust on your motorcycle? We'll be weighing the stock exhaust and comparing it to the weight of the aftermarket, titanium graves exhaust. The weight difference is huge! The first cold start of this titanium graves exhaust is amazing as well! It really does produce a great sound! These exhaust sound clips on the dyno are awesome! Once getting all of the new motorcycle parts onto the bike and getting the tune dialed in, this Suzuki produced a HUGE jump in power.

They don’t allow fuels like Mr-12 in sbk competition. That’s just a street gixxer. Maybe he does track days, but no actual circuit track racer bothers with mr12. Chain should be adjusted on a stock swingarm with 1.25-1.5” of slack. Period. It’s not about opinion, it’s about mechanical correct slack for full suspension articulation. 🫡🤜🤛👍

GSXR 1000 is such good machine too bad is so uncomfortable for any long ride.
Actually it the most comfortable sportbike made... one that isn't is the BMW 1000rr.

Anytime I take my motorcycle to the shop I make sure it is spotless. My bike has never had that much dirt on it ever
I run mine slightly looser than recommended. As long as I don’t hear it bouncing on the bumps. Too tight can stress parts of bike not good

It's the exhaust. Unfortunately it is highly restrictive on this engine.

I just replaced my headers for the delkevic headers. The diameter is smaller on the delkevic than the stock headers.
Dynojet is has always been too rich, even their carb kits are complete junk. I don't get the love for their horrible kits.

It’s not about speed. It’s how it affects suspension.

I think chain tension depends on rider weight. I thought my chain was getting a little slack, had a chat with my mechanic friend who checked the tension with me sat on the bike and it was perfect. Hasn't been adjusted in the year and a half or so it's been on.
How often do you ride it?
Once my chain is broke in it only really needs adjusted it about every 10k miles. Lube and inspect it every 1000 clean every 2000. 2012 and 2024 zx14r and i dont necessarily ride it nice, just take care of it
I do about 3-4 thousand miles a year. Crash, I try to keep up on the cleaning especially during the non summer months as the roads are damp more often than not in the UK. I think about every 3-500 miles when in damp/wet conditions as the chain starts to look gunky quick.

Running your chain too tight can cause damage to the output shaft bearing and it prevents the swingarm are from moving easily - neither one is good !
I mean you can get above 150bhp on dyno with the Z900 2019s they both got plenty power
I called it😂😂😂. Everyone I know that has a Zx14r, tells me that the zx14r tends to destroy the number 3 bearing. That’s why I change the oil on my Zx14r every 1000 to 1500 miles.
I don't think mine even stays in that long 😂

Whp vs crank horsepower. Dynos measure at the wheel, which is usually greater than 10 percent power loss from the crank.
@Jezzaj167 final was 147who but still low all in all. The exhaust is unfortunately, highly restrictive on this engine.
Are you racing Mancup in Valdosta?
I've seen bent output shafts from chains being too tight , half inch slack up and down is good
IMO a loose chain is a happy chain. OEM spec is the way to go. Tight puts stress on parts.
OEM spec seems better since too tight can cause extra wear and possible binding as the suspension moves.
