I think that while your analogy makes sense, and I also predict him dying before the end of the season (especially as character development for Penny), Jaune's semblance seems like a big Chekhov's Gun in this situation. They've set up a guy with a damaged aura and a guy who can enhance and possibly heal aura. In fact they also showed us Tyrian's aura disabling semblance which seems to create holes in it. How do we see Pietro's aura damage? Not as weakened but as having holes in it. Not saying there's a story link there, just that thematically they line up a little too closely. It's all too coincidental for Jaune not to at least attempt it, although I doubt it will succeed for one reason or another.
I do think that either pietro, qrow, and/or Maria will die soon. Also, I liked how you mentioned Jaune's semblance and Chekhov's gun. I hope he can help pietro, but I'm not sure if he can.
If the Staff of Creation has an infinite amount of energy, I would suspect the Sword under Shade has an infinite amount of aura It’s probably wrong but I believe that the Crown of Beacon has something to do with semblances
Pietro's Aura is way too damaged to be repaired. While he can't save him, Jaune could at least minize his pain by giving few boots, so he can't cough anymore.
Yes the idea of Jaune saving Pietro with his semblance would never work because is semblance simply amplifies aura. It doesn't even give it per say. Rather using his own to boost another's. But either way it is not transferring the soul but merely the energy emitted by the soul. I'd call it akin to a blood transfusion. Where as what Pietro does for Penny is ripping out chunks of his own soul akin to giving organs. This is the inherent flaw of the transfer device. Ghry studied aura and the concept of transferring it from one thing and cramming it into another. Its like bleeding someone dry and trying to force the entire thing to come with the blood when in reality it should strip a soul bare and leave a husk. That is a little abstract possibly and not very comhesive to the point. But the semblance of burn marks in his aura showcase chunks he took out of himself meaning they are no longer there to generate aura. Lets face facts. Pietro was made to die so Penny can live. The relic can't apply here. It simply produces energy. I don't see this applying to human life. Theoretically maybe. But there is no aspect we know of to make this work. Jinn would probably say if asked. The only way for him to live is to let Penny die. I think the real question is how a fragment of a soul holds so much personality. Penny has died befoe and yet was restored with her memories in tact from a new fragment of his aura. So it may say more to the technology that keeps her self sustained even on a new piece of soul. It may also be why Pietro looks so old now. The toll this took on him. And Penny must be relatively new given Maria is unfamiliar with her. So she was made in the last 10 years.
In regards the the fragment of soul containing personality after Penny was destroyed: I think that her memory logs were backed up within her core. They recovered her core when Amity returned to Atlas. We see that they are able to access her visual data by connecting her to their system. I'd reason that they were able to upload her "previous save" into the new body. That would also explain why she seems to have no trauma from beinf ripped apart. The previous version wouldn't remember that, or Pietro deleted that part to spare her from remembering. Or our sweet little Penny remembers being torn apart at the Vytal festival and is coping with that somehow.
But Weiss' aura was broken completely when Jaune healed her on the brink of actual death. And she came back stronger. Did Crwby ever explain how Jaunes semblance works with broken aura? Kuz that's what Pietros aura is.
@@kyngtruccie8817 Aura can run out and, at that point, people can take the physical damage. Their aura, or to reference the video, their battery cells, will recharge over time. Jaune had to recharge Weiss' aura from 0% so it could heal the massive hole in her torso. Weiss' aura was "broken" but it was still intact, just at 0%. Pietro seems to have removed part of his aura, similar to donating an organ, to create Penny. We do know from seeing Pietro, that without his whole aura his body is slowly failing. From what we see, and his explanation, we could assume that he has to give a substantial amount of his "battery cells" to give Penny aura.
@@jasoncrow264 okayyyy I see what you mean. When an aura is broken it's more drained. But pietros is ACTUALLY broken. Therefore it cannot be healed. Thanks for clearing that up for me bro. I was confused for a moment
THATNEGUS KING I'd say we got an explanation in chapter 6 of this volume. Jaune is also capable of speeding up aura regeneration as well. Which is probably what he did for Weiss. The problem here is again not to the same thing. A broken aura and a fragmented aura wouldn't be the same thing as a broken aura I'd simply an aura too drained to produce an aura. Pietro meanwhile is missing pieces of his very soul. Missing parts that produce his aura entirely. This is why his aura has holes in it.
If I can answer this question with another question: When the main characters defeat Salem and most likely the old gods will return, will Ozma be able to enter the afterlife and leave his host if they haven't merged yet? Because that's what Im thinking could happen, since Oscar and Ozpin are two completely different people I think it'll be possible for Ozma to be allowed to leave without his host once he completed his task for the gods.
What if Penny joins the group "permanently"(she could die of coursw) and is the person to bare the relic of creation, allowing her to generate her own aura instead of using Pietro's
Well Jaune can restore a broken aura and make it stronger then before. Like what he did with Weiss who was quite literally dying. So maybe Jaune can heal him. Sword Mage for the win!
THATNEGUS KING That not the same thing. Weiss aura was drained from being overused in the battle with Vernal and she was dying from physical injury. June enhance her aura, then her aura healed her physical injury. Pietro is literately sacrificing pieces of his soul.
I doubt it would work. The bits of Pietro’s soul that are missing are gone, not coming back. Jaune might be able to bolster existing aura, but I doubt he can replace a missing piece of a person’s soul. Unless he gives away a piece of his own soul. Also, Jaune might not be too happy to help the guy who made the soul-transfer machines that almost took Pyrrha from him. Yes, it’s an amazing piece of tech, but it reeks (and for want of a better term) of heresy.
I am sure Jaune’s semblance will not work on Pietro’s case, whether Jaune transfers his aura or the amplification. Every time Pietro remakes Penny his aura limit will drop, and it cannot be recovered to its original limit, Jaune only can transfer his aura to Pietro or amplify his semblance but cannot recover the aura limits on Pietro.
Now I'm curious, since Pietro has (presumably) brought Penny back a considerable number of times, does this hypothetically mean that the soul transfer technology could be utilized multiple times for a single individual? Say, if instead of Pietro bringing Penny back several times his aura was used instead to make more than one active "Penny" (not necessarily OUR Penny, but artificial humans with their own personalities)? If so, that could be a monumental advancement in both militaristic and familial means! (Familial as in, if a couple didn't want to conceive or adopt a child, they could instead use this technology to create a child like Penny)
There was a little bit of telegraphing in the episode that makes me think maybe Maria will step in and give a piece of her aura. When Pietro is explaining things I couldn't help but think Penny will need another transplant in the near-ish future, and while I think Ruby would step up to do so she still has so much to do so I feel Pietro or someone from the team will try to talk her out of it. But Maria is a good candidate because she's not as active anymore and could possibly spare a piece. In any case this plot element paired with the winter being brought to Mantle and people needing active aura to survive the cold has me really worried about the character's well-being in the coming episodes.
From what i understood, to giving Penny a 'normal' Aura that acts like anyone else's, Pietro must reduce his own reserves in a definite way. I highly doubt Jaune can fix that, so i think you're right in this video. By the way i have a little theory about Grimm and Aura that relates to one of your old videos, i'd like to discuss it. Meanwhile, i hope you had a merry Christmas and happy new year.
There is a way to save both Penny and Pietro. The problem is it could be bad for Jaune. If Pietro knows how to transfer his own aura to Penny then he can guide Jaune to do the same, however if we're seeing the effects of said transfer, then Jaune could not only die, but even if he survives he won't have as much aura as he does through out the series. Not only would it cripple him to where he can't use is semblance as much but it could mainly effect his health. Plus if Penny found out how she got revived, not only will she feel bad and wish she stayed dead, she will constantly try to pay back Jaune and Pietro even when they say it is okay. But if Jaune to do it, it would be for: A. His best friend asked him to and out of pity. B. The general is point a gun to his head. Or C. To take responsibility for his partner's action.
Amplify means increasing volume in something. Jaune can only amplify aura he cant heal or fix the the thing that produces aura. So in other words he can only temporarily help pietro.when jaune helped amplify weiss aura he was just increasing the thing that helps produce aura so she can heal herself faster

I think Jaune can restore the docs aura to a point. May do nothing for his soul but if they used jaune's semblance clinically by giving the dr short bursts followed by using up his reserves it may trick his body to increase the available aura generated, they by fixing some of the damage naturally.
Sorry for totally off topic comment here, but I felt a compulsive need to post somewhere and this was the first RWBY place I came to. I just finished rewatching the 2009 Star Trek movie where Sulu unpacks a folding sword and his Romulan opponent pulls out a folding glaive-thing. As neat as that fight was, and as neat as a lot of other parts of that movie were, for the rest of the movie I just couldn't stop wondering why neither of those weapons were also a gun. Am I obsessed with RWBY to the point that I need psychological help?
Soul transfer scares me... what if Watts has other ideas for it. Hear me out: Immortality. What if, a few days before you die, your entire soul is transferred to a clean slate. Because it would be your entire soul, you might be aware that you’re you, and have all of your previous knowledge. I think the reason that Penny doesn’t identify as Pietro is that A) she doesn’t have the entire soul and B) she doesn’t know whose soul she has. (If she knew the effect it had on Pietro, she would never allow it.) You probably noticed her style change from seasons 1-3 to this season. I think that the way that this changed was no coincidence. Her clothing is more similar to Pietro’s clothing, because of the large amount of his soul donated after the Fall. Subconsciously, i think she!s growing to be more like Pietro as she inherits his soul. So if you so desired in Remnant, you could potentially live after death and i think that’s something that might’ve been discussed amongst Atlesian scientists, but only Watts might think to pursue it. A stupidly weird theory that probably won’t ever become anything close to accurate, but interesting nonetheless. TL;DR: Life After Death Via Soul Transfer.
Since Penny only got part of Pietro's aura/soul and not all of it, could her soul be thought of to be _smaller_ than most souls? And if so, could Penny be the _smaller soul_ that Salem and Oz both mention instead of Ruby?
Imagine it like energy.Everyones energy is always 100% and when taken damage it reduces until 0% which is death. When giving energy to a robot it takes his percentage away but makes it his maximum percentage . So when he gives a robot 30 percent of his energy then his energy can only go up to 70% permanently so whenever he reaches 1 jaune can bring it back to a 70% but he cant put it back to a 100 cuz Peitros permanently at 70%
I believe that Fiona' s semblance should work on Grimm since they are alive and it appears that it only works on inorganic material so it should work on Grimm
i wonder... if they soul transfered salem into an artificial body, and then destroyed that, would that kill her or would her soul return to her immortal shell?
I wanna see a analyses of Cinders change. Cause she has changed from season 1 after becoming the fall maiden. I think Cinder may change to the point of joining team rwby, of course she'll die and then Ruby will end up being the new fall maiden.
Im thinking jaunne is the descendent of the king from the previous great war. Could be he'll get everything that king had. Maybe despite himself he'll save the world.
@@BlueBlazeKing what i am trying to say is that maybe by putting someone's entire aura in a robotic body we can give them immortality untill that armor is destroyed right
Ok, first things first, I don´t have enough time right now to watch the whole video, so I might come back later and see if you made any arguments I brought up in my comment. So, with that out of the way, let me just say how I think Pietro could be saved. After some theory of course. We know by now that aura is a form of energy, meaning that it likely moves from areas with his concentrations of it, such as people whose aura has been unlocked, to areas with lower concentrations of it, such as the air, the ground, and other places. Basically, if I´m correct, it means that over time, as people have used their aura, they have helped the planet build up an aura field, which consists of what I call "ambient aura". It´s aura that has no personality and no individual traits, like how Nora´s aura seems to make her more resistant to electric attacks (during the Battle for Haven, Ren was hit by a lightning bolt shot by Hazel, which seemed to do some serious damage, whereas Nora could take a continuous shock and still activate her semblance). This ambient aura could be harnessed in various ways, for example allowing people to sense its displacement in order to get extrasensory abilities. It´d be difficult to pull off, and I don´t think that many people even know it´s possible to begin with, but in theory it could work. Another way it could be harnessed is by absorbing it to recharge one´s own aura. To do that, a person would first have to extend their aura outwards a little, and then force the ambient aura to take on their aura´s properties, so the two merge into one. It´s obviously very difficult, barely anyone knows it´s even possible, if anyone knows at all, and if anyone knew about it they´d have two big targets on their backs, because both Ozpin and Salem recognize that someone with a nearly endless supply of aura would be very dangerous to them. Anyway, with this in mind, it should theoretically be possible to make the ambient aura behave like Pietro´s in order to reactivate Penny without him having to sacrifice any of his own aura. With that in mind, one could also create cybernetic friends for Penny based on the auras of people like Ruby, Jaune, or literally anyone else, without having to sacrifice anyone´s actual aura. Of course, removing ambient aura from an area creates a vacuum, which will then be filled by the ambient aura of the nearby areas, weakening the planet´s aura field as a whole. I don´t think we´ll see Age of Ultron in RWBY, though. More like Matrix, but instead of the humans serving as power source for the machines, they´ll be used to generate aura for the planet´s aura field in order to keep things going. One reason why the machines would be interested in keeping the aura field active, aside from making more robots, would be because, in my theory, dust is little more than crystallized aura. For example, we know that there are floating rocks above Lake Matsu, in which gravity dust grows. The way I think this works is because the gravitons in the area mixed with the ambient aura and formed the gravity dust, which is why there is no gravity. So, if the aura field were to stop working, there would be no more dust, and the robots would eventually run out of energy, unless they found a way to convert their aura into energy.
I can see a scenario where she is destroyed, and he uses the relic to make the ultimate sacrifice and gives the rest of his soul to her to make her a real human girl. Would add a lot of weight, and take her out of play for Watts to mess with further. It would also have some heavy Full Metal Alchemist vibes with regards to an equivalent exchange.
@@brucealmighty3268 this would also make sense due to penny being inspired by Pinocchio. It would be fitting because she obviously wants to be treated as human

I think if he dies or is dying I think jaune could help but I think what's the way things are going I don't think that's going to happen I mean I wanted to but I just don't see it
Probably, but there are a few issues with that: 1. Human bodies aren´t as durable as robotic ones, at least not without aura. 2. Humans die of old age eventually, robots don´t. 3. If the staff is used to give Penny a human body, Atlas will crash into Mantle, killing thousands of people and leaving the rest severely crippled and unable to defend themselves against the Grimm. 4. Penny´s mind if artificial, so it´s not even sure she could properly use a human body in the first place.
Fanfic writer here. I´ve got one where a few crazy things happen, but I managed to save a few people. All based on theories I actively tried to disprove before starting to write, and basically did most of the things scientists in our world do to understand it. I couldn´t get any actual testing done though, so my best argument is "The show hasn´t disproven it yet." Anyway, I have a way to keep Pietro alive. Not spoiling anything though. Want a link?
I honestly don't think it can. Only the brothers can since they are gods.It also wouldn't make sense that they'd leave something powerful enough to bring someone back from the dead after their mistake with Salem

A stupidly weird theory that probably won’t ever become anything close to accurate, but interesting nonetheless.
TL;DR: Life After Death Via Soul Transfer.
Its hard to make robots that can kill grimm but when turned against them cant do much damage
I Would give My Aura/Soul to Save Pietro #PIETROPROTECTIONSQUAD
Since Penny only got part of Pietro's aura/soul and not all of it, could her soul be thought of to be _smaller_ than most souls? And if so, could Penny be the _smaller soul_ that Salem and Oz both mention instead of Ruby?
I think the bigger question is, should he be saved?
So basically thanos and avengers ok I get it
I wanna see a analyses of Cinders change.
If another host uses this tech can't they get functional immortatlity by transfering their entire soul into a souless robotic body
Not really because with how the show present it you can only do this at best 2 maybe three times before kicking the bucket
@@BlueBlazeKing what i am trying to say is that maybe by putting someone's entire aura in a robotic body we can give them immortality untill that armor is destroyed right
If the Armor dosen't have a soul
And the entire aura of the individual is transferred
Hard to say because Penny has her own personality and quirks so it may create a whole new person
What if Penny used the staff of creation to become a real girl? Then Pietro would be saved too, right?
I can see a scenario where she is destroyed, and he uses the relic to make the ultimate sacrifice and gives the rest of his soul to her to make her a real human girl. Would add a lot of weight, and take her out of play for Watts to mess with further. It would also have some heavy Full Metal Alchemist vibes with regards to an equivalent exchange.
@@brucealmighty3268 this would also make sense due to penny being inspired by Pinocchio. It would be fitting because she obviously wants to be treated as human
I like your shirt. Can you please reviews mha sometime in the future? I don't care if you do the anime or manga or both, I'm just wondering if you'll do reviews for it. I hope Jaune or someone else can save pietro, but I think he might die soon. I think Pietro, qrow, and/or Maria will die by the end of this season.
Jaun could maybe power a penny army?
just a thout what if the staff is the magic wand from the fairy godmother in pinokeo and it is used to make penny a real girl because Padro is gapedo just a thought .
I think if he dies or is dying I think jaune could help but I think what's the way things are going I don't think that's going to happen I mean I wanted to but I just don't see it
Age of Ultron outcome seems possible, but not in the way most people think lol.
Could the staff of creation make Penny have a human body?
Probably, but there are a few issues with that:
I refuse to let Pietro die, if he ends up dying I going with my guts and blame Watts so I will be going on a major hunt for that walking stick myself
Fanfic writer here.
I´ve got one where a few crazy things happen, but I managed to save a few people. All based on theories I actively tried to disprove before starting to write, and basically did most of the things scientists in our world do to understand it. I couldn´t get any actual testing done though, so my best argument is "The show hasn´t disproven it yet."
Anyway, I have a way to keep Pietro alive. Not spoiling anything though. Want a link?
Can the staff of creation bring people back from the dead ?🤔🧐
I honestly don't think it can. Only the brothers can since they are gods.It also wouldn't make sense that they'd leave something powerful enough to bring someone back from the dead after their mistake with Salem
🥺
Suh dude?
✌
