Not really. Based on the art style we've seen of the Lamp and Staff, I believe all the Relics will be Gold and Blue. Pyrrha's *Circlet* is bronze, with small bits of green. Also, we know that the Grimm are attracted to the relics. So, if her *Circlet* were the relic, Grimm would have constantly been at the school walls. Third. Her headpiece is a *Circlet*, not a crown. It also has green jewels dangling from it. 4: Do you seriously think that a regular blacksmith would be able to melt down a relic? Her *Circlet* is inside Crocea Mors now
Phoenix I just wanna tell you that you’re my favorite TH-camr. You make RWBY content that isn’t just hate and everything is super interesting. I always have one of your videos playing in the background and I never get bored of them. I’m always so happy whenever you post something and I watch it right away. Thank you!
I agree so many people are just hate, hate, hate, all the time and I can't understand why. Yes RWBY is not perfect but nothing is the good vastly out weighs the bad.
You are very welcome, but I should also be thanking you. It means so much to me that you feel that way about my content and I couldn't have built such a positive community without the support of so many wonderful positive people such as yourself. So thank you 😊
Wait a minute?! If the crown gives you a glimpse of the future, then that would explain why Ozma/Ozpin hid the relic of choice somewhere else. He probably saw the fall of Becon and knew he was going to get killed and made preparation. Remember what Watts said, " Ozpins back this soon?"
My theory is that Ruby will wield the crown, Weiss will wield the staff and I’m not sure which one Blake and Yang will do but I think Yang will use the lamp and Blake the sword
@@jeffreysmith236 Might be by "brought together" they don't mean in the same vicinity, but wielded by the same person. (Which that in and of itself seems like the poor choice, giving one person all that power) I kind of feel like Ruby will get knowledge (as she kind of lacks experience and understanding) I'd barter Yang/Blake to get destruction (the power to destroy their demons) Weiss to get choice ( a lot of her early stuff was based on choice, the choice of flight fight freeze or fawn with her family, the choice to be a good team mate rather than a dick) Though saying it like that, Blake chose to leave the white fang, blake chose to hide the fact she was a faunus. So by my first logic blake could have it. Ruby already struggles doubting herself so giving her that power may overload that. Latter to get creation. That is of course if we don't just lock them back up (because y'know, giving teenagers dangerous artefacts that's not a good plan) Apologies for the paragraph my dudes and have a great day!
@@spakeschannel Yang might be a thrillseeker, but she isn't a bloodthirsty huntress. I think Blake welding the sword is more fitting, considering she has one, and she has reasons to use it. She's had to fight the White Fang, people from her past, and all that jazz. Plus, her fighting style would make the use of the sword... Deadly to say the least. And Yang welding the Relic seems more fitting as well, because if she's a thrillseeker, she could just ask for a story or something. I dunno. I just don't really see why Blake would use the lamp.
Rwby or Jaune will wear it probably having to make an impossible choice. The hostage type situation could easily come into play like Phoenix said. Rwby at this point might give up the relics to save her teammates. It seems to give random tidbits of the future. Very useful in the right context but obviously the drawback is it can make people INdecisive and they won't make any decision out of fear. Knowing the future is great until you realize the future is completely bad. The smart thing to do is to NOT use the crown in some contexts as it could easily backfire on the wearer. That is the true gift of CHOICE! This fits too with the relic being at beacon and showing pyrrha's choice dilemma in vol 3 and fits nicely with that theme that "bad things happen to good people". Also the lesson Ozpin describes basically is that using the relics isn't inherently a bad thing. If you are using them at the right times for the right reasons in the right frame of mind then they can help the right people. Ruby used the lamp and got something very good out of it. Everything in moderation however if you start abusing them or relying on them too much as Ozpin seemed to do in the story you can write yourself in a bad corner and they become effectively useless.
@@killerbee1974 maybe it could be just them messing around in the skit but they have foreshadowed and referenced stuff before. I guess Jaune will wear the crown and to try and make a hard decision either about saving someone or bringing someone potentially back from the dead
@@accipiter160 Damn right!, assuming phoenix is right and the crown reveals all the decisions a persons will make in the future being an immortal like Ozpin to see your endless life brought out in front of you.... I can't even fathom what that would be like.
@@hisyammarzuqi55 Have you seen the details of the Infinite Man (another tale from the book)? That parallels Ozpin too (and @Phoneix/Night theorized in a previous video that Ozpin let himself be killed by Cinder to put his "time" into the Long Memory). Even if where his logic went with that is incorrect, I still like the idea. RWBY is one of those shows where, its flaws notwithstanding, they manage to put so much care into even the tiniest detail, such that you can't ignore ANYTHING :)
"We can never see past the choices we don't understand." - The Oracle, The Matrix Reloaded It's interesting that the fairy tale seems to point to knowledge as the key to managing the burden of choice, but we've seen in the last two volumes that knowledge comes with its own great burden as well. After the big reveal in v6e3, we finally understand the burden of knowledge that Ozpin has been carrying for at least a few lifetimes, and can understand how that paralyzed him into the seeming passivity he displayed in volumes 2 and 3. Likewise, Ruby in volume 7 had to decide how she would handle the burden of that same knowledge when dealing with Ironwood, and the decisions she made played a role in the rift that finally exploded between her team and Ironwood at the end of the volume (as did Ironwood finally shouldering the burden of that knowledge when they eventually decided to tell him).
1) Good video theory. 2) I have an idea of what Salem actually wants. The relics if gathered will summon back the God's. If they are summoned and the world is still divided they both will end their experiment. Meaning this will be the last time they will work together. 3) Salem wishes to ruin the relationship of two brothers. Just as they ruined her last chance to love someone else. The only man she could ever love.
The more one is shown the course of fate, the harder it is to change it. How can you know if you've changed the future, or simply created a self-fulfilling prophecy? When you can change the future, what are you willing to sacrifice to do so? The futures that are easiest to change are those in the immediate future.
If you look at the symbols for every Kingdom, you can see their respective Relics. Atlas has the staff in the middle, Vacuo has the swords on it, Mystral has the lamp as the entire thing, and Vale has the crown behind the axe’s.
“Will you make the right choices in this moment? Will you be brave or be broken? Who will you see, there in the darkness when no one is watching. Who will you be? When you’re afraid, and everything changes, while you see a stranger, be proud or betray?” -Fear I think this song while topical to V7 might also be some foreshadowing for the Relic of Choice.
I think Raven used it one time and it was so traumatic for her that she ended up running away from said choice ( what ever it was ) much to everyone's disapproval, and now she can't help but define/mirror her actions through Yang and Leo.
The problem I have with powers of choice in a series like RWBY is just how negative of a connotation it usually has. People often fear such ability due to a paranoia they have that they must do what's right in the face of imminent adversity. I like to believe power like the Crown of Choice are both a blessing and curse. The scenario described is probably the most common and overplayed. It's just one side of the coin. Having that kind of power gives the bearer agency over their lives allowing them to make decisions in ways they otherwise couldn't. Yes it can be a burden but it's also empowering. If it's a future you do want, you already know how to secure it. If you don't want it, then you can begin to actively seek what you do want. I just want to provide a differing perspective to the negativity I see powers such as these envoke. Choice is a power very few are equipped to use. For those who can, the world is yours
I feel like Glynda had the relic and help Ozpin hide it. She probably wore it and was posed with the choice to either go out and search for Ozpin/ go with Ruby or to stay and rebuild beacon.
Soooo, did nobody notice how the king said he was "starting to remember"? I think that the crown, if used continuously, makes people forget. The "Widow" was never a widow, but the queen, that the King forgot about because of the crown. If RWBY ends up using the crown, they're going to forget something important. Maybe each other.
Did it ever occur to you how on the nose the kingdoms are named? (and now i think about it maybe these names where chosen by someone wearing the crown) Beacon: cause oz always talking about that spark of hope, aka a beacon of hope? also that lays in vale and vales are always begin area's in games. Atlas cause atlas carry's the world on its shoulder, ironwood thinking atlas can manage grim around the world (and is carried in a most literal sense by the staff) mistral makes me think of minstrel which explains there artsy culture? Vacuo makes me think of vacant or evacuation and that empty feeling goes hand in hand with empty dessert's and lack of authority. Bonus round! vytal festival: vital turning point, festival as in murder fest (when all shit goes down and the orchestrators just enjoy the chaos). I dont know if i am getting anywhere with these lines of thought but i found them interesting hope you do too.
Rwby seems to life by the rule of 4 with everything, instead of the rule of 3. 4 kingdoms 4 teammembers 4 relics 4 godlike beings(twin brothers and salem/oz) so maybe that can clue us in in some future world building?
4 years in the academies, 4 teams' stories being told (RWBY, JNPR, SSSN and CFVY). You could even go as far to say, 4 generations seen throughout the show (Maria, teachers/parents, main cast and baby Adrian)
Imagine how this could be played for comedy tho. Like someone puts it on expecting something huge and life-altering but it just shows them in the future glancing between two different cereals one morning.
This leads me to a very interesting thought. What if Ospin has seen a future crossroad presented to him due to the crown, this choice being for when the Gods are summoned back to the Earth. What if Ospin in the future will be forced to choose between Salem or the Earth. I could see it, the relics are brought together, the gods are summoned back and they witness the state of the world. Salem still ruling over everyone, but humanity has come together to try and defeat her. The gods will view this as humanity "passing" the test and earth would be spared, but Salem would still need to be dealt with. The gods would then make Ozpin choose- Salem is restored to her normal human self, purged of the corruption and even her memories of being evil, and Ozpin's cycle of reincarnation will end as well. Picking this choice option would lay it all to rest, they can finally be together until they grow old and die normally. But it would come at the cost of forgetting about everyone he has met over the many life times. He would forget about his time with Team RWBY ETC. On the flip side, he other option to that choice would be defeating Salem- that is to say, the Gods themselves will strip her immortality away and smite her thus saving all of Remnant, but in exchange, he will never be re-united with her even in death. OK I'll admit, that idea lost steam the longer i talked it out, but I still could see a grand choice befalling Ozpin at some point. Something where the fate of the world vs his own desires is called into question.
I disagree, I think it's going to be Salem who chooses the fate of renment, I believe she will be victorious in the end , but her experience with team Rwby and co will change her. Ozpin having the choice is poor storytelling, having Salem making that decision is the test she needs to pass so she's learns the meaning of life and death.
Ya, the whole story sort of reminds me of the Darkstalker legend from Wings of Fire. Main person has all the power and can't die, their partner tries to stop them with their future telling powers, has to gather everyone to defeat him, etc. It just seems very similar, and I don't really mind, considering Wings of Fire has really fantastic storytelling in it.
Aaaghhh. I just realized what the Widow was mad about. She got spoiled on the King's wedding proposal to her. Something she clearly valued there, the surprise.
On a completely different note, whilst I was typing "in order to prevent humans from abusing the Lamp" in the last bullet I had a thought: the Maidens don't need to be human. Case in point: Penny (or, rather, P.E.N.N.Y.). Are we going to see a Faunus Maiden?
No wonder Salem prioritized her plan in Beacon Academy just for relic of choice. She targets Amber & chose Cinder to become "her" Fall Maiden. Keep it mind, the reason why Salem gave her magical grim golve to Cinder, so she can keep eye on her. Cinder just another puppet of Salem. Salem is smart, she know Cinder would betrayal her someday, to ensure her further goal. She just messing with Cinder with newly replacement grim arm. It explains, why Salem never let Cinder obtain Fall Maiden powers very naturally, she didn't want to risk too much on her new henchman.
Well according to released info. Salem wants the power of the maidens and just using Cinder (due to her desire for power) to get them. So it's implicated once she got the maidens powers she would more likely kill Cinder so she could have them for herself.
I feel like the king and the widow are Oz and Salem, obviously some time after the brothers left Remnant and before Oz’s second death. If the widow is Salem, then maybe the vision the crown gave her is of something that still hasn’t happened yet. Perhaps of Oz offering for her to finally join him in the afterlife?
This makes so much sense thinking about why salem would start her crusade there! She needs to know certain things. She does not need the sword's power as much, she has probably more power in herself. Her main weapon is manipulation after all. but the relic of choice reveals much and most importantly the path to take to get the other relics. The lamb of wisdom is needed secondly because she needs to know something (maybe how to get the crown from the vault). Then there is the staff which can be used for many things but mostly by people who are not salem so taking it is more to prevent others from, for example getting global communications or to shut down the mightiest army of all(atlas).
i bet salem has time forwarding magic. After using the lamb ,she puts it in a zone that time moves faster around it, making 100 years pass to the lamb, then in a way salem can have unlimited questions. it would piss of Jinn to no end but salem would cite her own rules
An idea of how they might use the crown in the story based on its powers: it's the perfect set-up for them to provide an impossible situation, one where there's no way to win. Ruby, being the resident "hope" protagonist, is the kind of person who wouldn't accept the idea of a no-win situation, and I can see her throwing the crown off her head and going on without it, having faith in herself instead of believing what the crown shows.
I just imagined a really sick shot of Ruby steadily placing the crown upon her head. The shot would be all centered and symmetrical and it would be so cool!
I didn’t know about the fairy tale book and immediately purchased it! Thanks so much! I can’t wait to read more than the preview. I love world building stories!!!
This reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode. There was a couple at a restaurant, with a little toy that would dispense cards containing info on the future. The main crux of the episode was if it was worth it to keep on sitting there nervously getting the cards or to go out and face the future on your own.
The Crown sounds like it might grant the power to read the minds of other. It lets you know what a person a thinking without them needing to say it, predict your enemies moves before they make them, and learn the secrets of everyone around you. That kind of power can be maddening to wield constantly without any control. Listening to the thoughts of others in your head all of the time can a curse, knowing things that other people wouldn't (or shouldn't) want you to hear, hearing thoughts that you don't want to hear, and constantly being given by the knowledge of what others are thinking, but not always the knowledge that you need.
I actually have a interesting idea on how they will get the crown . Oz said its more difficult to get to . If you need the headmaster item ( like lionhearts watch) to access the door to the relics and then a maiden to open the door . What if the "key " to the door for the crown is the other relics themselves. Like you need to insert the other 3 in a keyhole ( again like lionhearts watch for the elevator to the relic door)
You know with the Relic of Creation or Staff of Creation I have a theory on how Team RWBY can use it to turn the tide against Salem in Volume 8. Basically since it can be used for "a single purpose" they just need to have it create an Anti-Grimm energy filed around Mantle and Atlas so that any Grimm that enter within the limits of the field will either be instantly destroyed or weakened to the point where they could easily be handled by the citizens. Of course that would means that Atlas would fall from the sky and be grounded. But I think that it would be worth it and to clarify by Anti-Grimm energy I am referring to the energy Ruby gives off when she uses the powers of her Silver Eyes because I am sure that the Staff of Creation could replicate the effect if either Ruby or Maria got there hands on the relic.
Maybe it shows you the consequences of your choices, or the choices those unlock, without giving answers. I can see why that would give anyone analysis paralysis. If Ruby had known how badly things would go at the end of volume 8 she would have to choose between the people of Atlas and Mantle dying one way or dying another way. Maybe it literally comes down to seeing all the people your decisions will affect and who could die from them - seeing consequences and opportunities to make a choice, but not answers like the lamp might provide. Or actually, since the lamp provides answers to things that were known by someone at some point in the past, maybe the crown does provides answers in the form of possibilities and probabilities that exist in hypothetical futures. Maybe it's essentially like trying to determine the future based on possibilities of what may happen and choices you may make and other people's choices in response to that.
My theory is Ironwood is going to be the owner of the crown. Then he do what the king didnt do. He decide based on what he think is right and change the history. Like being said "he did what he thinks best"
So the Relic of choice is a RPG choice mechanic like Life is strange or Mass Effect that have dire consequences. Which will effect the story moving forward.
The relic seems to show a choice in the future that will affect the one how wears the crown's life. It's like a tree, it shows you the trunk(your choice) and how you respond will affect what branch (future) you take.
I imagine the vision you would see with the relic of choice probably would be like what we see in the ancient greek tragedies and the prophecies from the oracle: the actions you take to prevent it from happening is what causes it to happen
Amazing!!!! Thank you for sharing. All the relics are fascinating in their own right but the crown sure is the most intriguing. What is going to be the last question for Jinn!?! I just hope it happens this next volume 🤔 maybe oscar will get to ask!
Think of one of the potential side effects of being Oz and putting on that crown. The choices it shows him don't have to stop at that lifetime. He lives nigh infinite lifetimes until his mission from the God of Light is complete. I think it's very possible the crown can show him choices from all of them.

Unfortunately I doubt she'd return The only reason Penny was able to return was cause she wasn't human Pyrrha is flesh and blood not to mention she was completely vaporized by Cinder
Not to mention that there is no reason for Pyrrha to return. Jaune accepted her death and has moved on honouring her by cutting his hair, everyone else has moved on and all her weapons were melted down to make Jaune's weapons. Why would she be revived now?
I honest think it’s phyrras crown tht is now part of Jauns armor n weapons but also the point tht u made out has also made tht choice either possible bc in volume 6 u find out tht he said the crown was kept hidden but also referred to Jaun thou wen he looked kinda at the other room
Wow this was as petty dope Story although my favorite is still the first one mentioned . This story or tale puts out a lot of information . Thanks pheonix knight got the review 👍🏽
That actually is a brilliant solution for the power. Entirely choice and a massive benefit for the choice making. Perhaps the most important decision in your future is the one shown? The next important choice?
A crown as a boon and a burden. Fitting, I think. The concept of choice makes for a good story motif as it can easily be depicted as the most powerful or dangerous thing humanity has going for it. Like it was presented in Volume 4, its the ability to take everything we know, everything we can do, all of our other gifts and choose how or how not to apply it. Arguably choice is the thing that gives all the other relics/gifts to humanity their meaning.
Idea Jaune puts on the crown and sees a vision of Pyrrha standing there and she says "Jaune you have to give Salem the Relic to bring me back, please bring me back." would Jaune if asked by Pyrrha give Salem a relic to bring her back to him? I think he would.
Well as this quote goes: "Destiny is no matter of change. It is a matter of choice. Its not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved" Choices are one of the hardest decisions to make in life but each person has the right make these decisions. Always do your best to pick the right ones and remember to learn from the bad ones as sometimes the wrong choices bring us to the right places.
I expected fairtales of remnant to be retellings of classic stories, but with the rwby characters replacing them. Instead i got interesting and unique tales with some worldbuilding, and a metatextual analysis of why stories are so important to culture and the world at large. Wasnt expecting that last bit.
I wonder about the line “I think I do remember you, he said again. Good she said, it was a start.” Does this suggest the relic comes at the cost of memories? The emphasis they place on that line with it being said multiple times, and how it leads into the conclusion is interesting.
So thoughts: a lot of fairy tails have the heroine dying. Rwby is a fairy tail. So it's possible Ruby sees a choice: Ruby can save someone but she dies, or stops something but the person dies in turn. So this is where Jaune could come in. He finds out what the choice is, so him and Nora and Ren die in a fight instead of RWBY
Also, the full story implies the crown allows the king to see all outcomes of his future decisions, and every choice he makes, he instantly sees how that alters every path forward. He becomes paralyzed with indecision because of this.
Theoretically, could the sword of destruction be used to destroy another, if not all the other relics? Even if just one is destroyed, Salem’s goal becomes not achievable
LitghterDawn :3 personally I think that’s where Salem’s kingdom is. There are no marked kingdoms. We are aware that it is apart of their planet, cause in the Forgotten Fable, Salem walked there. And the area is so dark, and that’s where the Grimm pools (as I call them) are, leaving the land probably dead, and stained black.
Wasn't the guy who ended the great war the Last King of Vale? If i remember that right then that would line up with him putting down the crown afterwards.
If you want my thoughts, The Staff of Creation might be capable of creating anything. Like dust Chrystals or entire cities with one or more taps...when it's not powering the 'keep Atlas afloat' tech. And the sword...might be capable of destroying anything. For example, when you slam it into the ground, everything in a certain or all directions might get reduced to ash and dust...or nothing, until you pull the sword out or the wielder decides that that's far enough...How do you think the staff and sword work?
The wording of that page gives me the vibe that perhaps the Crown actually *forces you* to make the "right" decision, or the decision the relic *thinks* is "right"
@@theemeralddragon5304 sure, but it sort of frees you of the burden of making the choice At the cost of depriving you of the ability to make that choice yourself... I'm probably wrong, yes, but that's the feeling I get from them talking about "the freedom to make your own mistakes"
Do you think Summer could've used the crown before going after Salem? Summer was trusted by Ozpin, so I dont think he would've had the thought of keeping her away from the relic. I think if she did use it, she saw her options and determined that going after Salem was the best, even if she died. Maybe she saw the damage she could do on Salem with her eyes (Ie: the 'cracks' Salem has present day. In the past she didnt)
Maybe the sword of destruction has a equivalent exchange built-in the Lantern of knowledge can only be used three times a century and only what can currently be known. The staff of creation can only be used for one action at a time and maybe there are other restrictions we don't know yet. The only thing I can think of that Balance sword so it's not broken as all hell is if the thing you want to destroy has to be in front of you or touched by the sword and you must give up something of equal value otherwise I cannot see why the sword couldn't destroy Salem for what has the value of a ancient magical human with Grim powers and immortality. Or it could be the wording jin used when Ozpin ask how can he destroy Salem she replied "YOU CAN'T" but does that mean there's no way to destroy her or someone else has the power to do so but not Ozpin. The crowd of choice could be different depending on the user and how long they use it. Look at doctors strange in avengers infinity war looking through all possible choices to find the one to defeat Thanos something only strange could do even other time stone users could not do it.
I have been thinking and ozpins and seilums children have a rlly big chance to be immortal bc both they’re parents are so we never know mabey we have seen their children....
i love rwby it doesnt have much hate now but i was with it when people hated it atleast now more people are understanding the show and love your videos pheniox hope you get to 1m soon
I've had big decisions from a young age. Everytime my friends or family ask "what would you do if you could see the future?" I've always said "I'd make my self go blind, or I'd close my eyes and blind fold myself." Anytime someone has some sort of fore sight they dictate everything on that. My grandpa inspired that answer, it's what he said to me. He said "there was a man. He was in his prime. A figure approached him. He assumed it was an angel, it might have been the devil himself . He said to the man I will give you five visions of the future, in return you will owe me five favors when you leave this world. The man agreed. He got all five visions in diffrent times of his life. The first was right after. He saw himself with a beautiful woman and a happy family. So he turned down any woman unless they had brown hair. The woman was a gold digger. She had children with him and stayed for the money. He was unhappy, he had his second. He saw the divorce of him and his wife. He spent all of his money to keep her happy, he quickly ran out of money and she left him. He soon saw his next vision. He was homeless, so he gave up and in a week he had no home, food, clothes, or clean water. He then saw that their was a church who would keep him fed and warm. He spent all his time searching for it, he didn't take a dime thinking that church would do everything for him. After about a month he couldn't walk any further. The preacher of the church carried him inside his home then after a few weeks the church. His final vision was of his death, in the arms of a kind caring and lovely woman with his children helping him. He didn't let it control him. In a few years he died that exact death." Self fulfilled prophecy. Nothing is avoidable in the future.seeing the future is very tricky. My grandpa told me that anytime I asked. I asked him "what would you do if you could will anything into reality." "I'd work. I can do something simaler now. I can work hard and get money, I can learn how to make things from the earth if I need to." He'd tell me these stories until he died when I was about eleven. In short old man I loved said seeing the future might cause the future, no need for powers you have what you need because you started out with it.
So Glynda is the widow that put on the crown off choice and now she's waiting for Ozpin's proposal? Or maybe Glynda is one off Ozpin's children off a former life and that "widow" got married and took on the symbol off the crown/tiara, the same symbol we see on Glynda's cape today (not sure about this one, because Ozpin's descendants have silver eyes because Ozpin was in contact with the god off light and Glynda has green eyes, but contacts are a thing, then again Glynda has glasses). It already did make sence that Ozpin said: "I have made more mistakes then every man, woman and child on this planet", Ozpin has lived many lives and some are spend drinking and trying to forget the pledge he made because he didn't had a plan off stopping Salem. Now we know what the crown is capable off and he choses not to use it, we know he is either trying not to put the crown in the open like that for Salem or he is still trying to follow the widow's advise to allow himself to make mistakes instead off trusting visions off impossible choices to make.
I wonder if qrow will put on the crown, if so I wonder what choice he would have to make. save Ruby but he dies and Ruby lives to fight another day or he live's and she dies. But I think we all know what choice he would make
Ruby: puts on the crown
Crown: "Gryffindor!"
I don't think that is how it works
I thought she'd be a Hufflepuff
If we're going with a Harry Potter theme, does that mean Blake is one of Professor McGonagall's descendants?
@@eurogryphon Oh that's good xD

If the crown gives you a glimpse of the future, then that would explain why Ozma/Ozpin hid the relic of choice somewhere else. He probably saw the fall of Becon and knew he was going to get killed and made preparation. Remember what Watts said, " Ozpins back this soon?"

My theory is that Ruby will wield the crown, Weiss will wield the staff and I’m not sure which one Blake and Yang will do but I think Yang will use the lamp and Blake the sword
that will bring the gods back
Actually, Yang wielding the sword would fit more, since she destroys a shitton when she goes Super Saiyan.
@@jeffreysmith236 Might be by "brought together" they don't mean in the same vicinity, but wielded by the same person. (Which that in and of itself seems like the poor choice, giving one person all that power)
I kind of feel like Ruby will get knowledge (as she kind of lacks experience and understanding)
I'd barter Yang/Blake to get destruction (the power to destroy their demons)
Weiss to get choice ( a lot of her early stuff was based on choice, the choice of flight fight freeze or fawn with her family, the choice to be a good team mate rather than a dick) Though saying it like that, Blake chose to leave the white fang, blake chose to hide the fact she was a faunus. So by my first logic blake could have it. Ruby already struggles doubting herself so giving her that power may overload that.
Latter to get creation.
That is of course if we don't just lock them back up (because y'know, giving teenagers dangerous artefacts that's not a good plan)
Apologies for the paragraph my dudes and have a great day!
I think Jaune will wield the sword of destruction
Everything in moderation however if you start abusing them or relying on them too much as Ozpin seemed to do in the story you can write yourself in a bad corner and they become effectively useless.
in rwby chibi Jaune had a tiara in his dream. Foreshadowing?
@@killerbee1974 maybe it could be just them messing around in the skit but they have foreshadowed and referenced stuff before. I guess Jaune will wear the crown and to try and make a hard decision either about saving someone or bringing someone potentially back from the dead
The Relic of Choice is the most powerful yet dangerous relic
No wonder Ozpin made it harder to reach than the other relics
@@accipiter160 Damn right!, assuming phoenix is right and the crown reveals all the decisions a persons will make in the future being an immortal like Ozpin to see your endless life brought out in front of you.... I can't even fathom what that would be like.
@@noahorakwue2653 in the story where Ozma reincarnated as the King of Vale. He uses the Crown. And being killed by Cinder might be his choice too.
@@hisyammarzuqi55 maybe but I suppose it depends on how elaborate the relic is and how much ozpin remembers.
"We can never see past the choices we don't understand."
- The Oracle, The Matrix Reloaded
It's interesting that the fairy tale seems to point to knowledge as the key to managing the burden of choice, but we've seen in the last two volumes that knowledge comes with its own great burden as well.
Phoenix has been uploading so many videos recently and honestly it’s the highlight of my week❤️❤️
Personally, I think the kids should leave the welding of the crown to the wiser queen that is Glynda Goodwitch.
Periodt
*sees title* OMYGOD IT HAPPENED. THEY DONE REVEALED IT
It's just a theory based on the RWBY Fairytale
“Will you make the right choices in this moment? Will you be brave or be broken? Who will you see, there in the darkness when no one is watching. Who will you be? When you’re afraid, and everything changes, while you see a stranger, be proud or betray?”
-Fear
I think this song while topical to V7 might also be some foreshadowing for the Relic of Choice.
I think that was the point in Ozpin’s notes.
I feel like Glynda had the relic and help Ozpin hide it. She probably wore it and was posed with the choice to either go out and search for Ozpin/ go with Ruby or to stay and rebuild beacon.
So basically the crown gives a glimpse into the future without context, pretty much like with Raiden in MK9... and we all know how that went.
RIP literally the entire MK roster lol
Vytal is also Vytal spirit as in the spirit of life.
Rwby seems to life by the rule of 4 with everything, instead of the rule of 3. 4 kingdoms 4 teammembers 4 relics 4 godlike beings(twin brothers and salem/oz) so maybe that can clue us in in some future world building?
4 maidens, 4 daughters....
4 years in the academies, 4 teams' stories being told (RWBY, JNPR, SSSN and CFVY). You could even go as far to say, 4 generations seen throughout the show (Maria, teachers/parents, main cast and baby Adrian)

Just spitballing the Sword of Destructions downside, using it is addictive.
This.
Could also be like a law of equivalent exchange type of thing where in order to use it the wielder has to give up something
Maybe what the sword’s power is that it destroys whatever it touches and, unless the user stops it, it will just keep destroying stuff
I’m hyped to see what happens when all the relics are gathered in one place. I just want to see the giant golden light boiii!!!
@@SashGirl34 Yeah, it stated in RWBY companion book.
Imagine A Question Like This:
Do You Believe In Destiny?
13:19 "...it will be close to the end of RWBY." Wait, that's illegal
So the crown is just a form of precognition
So it's like King Crimson

This reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode. There was a couple at a restaurant, with a little toy that would dispense cards containing info on the future. The main crux of the episode was if it was worth it to keep on sitting there nervously getting the cards or to go out and face the future on your own.
So excited!!! Yet another awesome video!
But I think that it would be worth it and to clarify by Anti-Grimm energy I am referring to the energy Ruby gives off when she uses the powers of her Silver Eyes because I am sure that the Staff of Creation could replicate the effect if either Ruby or Maria got there hands on the relic.
also love how there is hints about the powers of the relics and possibly the future
I can see why ozpin said he put up extra security for the relic of choice it would be even more dangerous in the hands of Salem.

Well as this quote goes:
"Destiny is no matter of change. It is a matter of choice. Its not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved"
Choices are one of the hardest decisions to make in life but each person has the right make these decisions.
I can hear Salem saying something like "The Crown or The Princess!" And I'm so excited!!!
The relic is not Ozpin's cane, but I think he set the cane, along with Glenda's wand, as two parts of the seal for the maiden to unlock for the crown.
Also, the full story implies the crown allows the king to see all outcomes of his future decisions, and every choice he makes, he instantly sees how that alters every path forward. He becomes paralyzed with indecision because of this.
Great video Phoenix your explain stuff is awesome 👏🏽

Nice fresh cut
The wording of that page gives me the vibe that perhaps the Crown actually *forces you* to make the "right" decision, or the decision the relic *thinks* is "right"
But that would kinda be the opposite of the wearer having a choice...
@@theemeralddragon5304 sure, but it sort of frees you of the burden of making the choice
At the cost of depriving you of the ability to make that choice yourself...
I'm probably wrong, yes, but that's the feeling I get from them talking about "the freedom to make your own mistakes"
I'm pretty sure the king and queen in the fairytale are Ozpin and Salem.
Nah. It doesn't much line up. The time lines and what we've seen doesn't really tell the same story.
12:17... That is untill Salem finds them. Afterall, she has all the time in the world.
*breaths in* HOLY-
I have been thinking and ozpins and seilums children have a rlly big chance to be immortal bc both they’re parents are so we never know mabey we have seen their children....

Awesome! Where can I get the stories?
I think if that would happen Weiss would wear the crown
If Ruby wears the crown I bet she will see a future were she is one on one with Salem with dead bodies including her team everywhere
I wonder if qrow will put on the crown, if so I wonder what choice he would have to make. save Ruby but he dies and Ruby lives to fight another day or he live's and she dies. But I think we all know what choice he would make
