If at the turn of the century a time traveller came and showed you a picture of a BMW and a Merc from 2023, the person from the year 2000 would assume these were the future 5-Series and E-Class.
Same thing applies to civic’s and accord’s. The 2024 civic is as big as an accord from the early 2000’s
I'm a BMW man but their square dashboard "TV" screen is the worst ever. WTF were they thinking ?? Probably not thinking.
I drive and tested both…the BMW is fun. The Mercedes was better. It’s hard to explain but when your driving lm you just go into another world with the Benz. I think the BMW 230i is the best car for a younger man. It’s so fast and the handling is insane. Has the same engine with this Mercedes Benz.
Both are amazing and your lucky to drive either. Have fun and be safe.

Not having adaptive cruise standard at this price is criminal. A $23,000 Mazda comes with it as standard equipment.
Mazda is the new German company at a cheaper price, why? Cause Japanese makers focus on art then money like Germans

A lot of drivers like myself have never used adaptive cruise. So the manufacturers believe it is useless

I'm about to replace my "old" BMW 320 by a company car which I can also use for my private business. This whole company car things comes with an additional tax we must pay, which is generally cut in half for hybrid (yay, Mercedes sells the C300E in Germany!), but from 2025 onwards the hybrid must be able to have a fully electrical range of more than 80 km (~50 miles).
This means for me the BMW will become significantly more expensive over the years, even though the base price of the configuration is cheaper. 😕
If I'd buy this car myself, I'd go 100% with the BMW, because it's from my perspective the better car in almost any section that's relevant for me.
Reliability, comfort, blinker use factor…. Mercedes definitely wins this.

Base C300 vs 330i, they’re about neck and neck… however, it’s no comparison between the M340i with the B58 vs the over boosted, maxed out 4 cylinder C43. M340i all day!

@@drewgreenhalgh9162 The 2024 C43 and M340i are more comparable in terms of performance and price, with roughly 400hp and a base price of approx $60k. By comparison, the new 2024 C63 will have 671 hp with a starting price of $84k.
I love how they laugh when they are driving the BMW. Anyone who has ever owned or driven a BMW 3 understand this feeling. There’s no sedan on the road like a BMW 3.

I got the 2023 330xi it’s absolutely amazing
The BMW feels sportier but I hate the replacement of the gear shifter witha little toggle. It is not user friendly and forces you to look down to shift, and feels unsatisfying to use. The iDrive system also has too many menus.
3 series drives 10 times better. I recommend you only consider the C-Class if you are an ambient light fan but everything else, BMW is just a better car overall.
If you would drive both you can speak but for sure you didnt. So shut up.

@Lolofor_life and you won't regret it. C-Class interior quality is just appalling - too much plastic and cheap materials used for my taste. Excellent aesthetic such as beautiful ambient lights and seats but 3 Series just destroys C Class in current gen.
this statement is so true to me because I was going to get a GLC 43 AMG only because of the ambient lighting and it had decent horsepower, but when I driven the m340i, I was amazed at the power ,and the ride quality in the sportiness. So I went with the x3M40i and never look back at Mercedes again. Mercedes has all the plastic materials in the new glc and the c class. It looks very cheap
Agreed! The interiors of the c actually looked better in photos but the hard touch scratchy plastics were shocking to see in this segment. The bmw is a much more premium car and better looking in my opinion too

I ended up with the 2023 BMW 330i xdrive only because my local Mercedes dealer in Albuquerque wanted 5 thousand more for "market adjustment". What a rip off! Anyway, I totally love the BMW. I will never go to the Mercedes place again just because of that!
I remember at October 2022, I went to a Honda dealer at New York for a Civic touring, they marked 5000 usd. Lol for a Civic. So I would say 5000 markup for a Benz isn’t that bad compared to civic mark up lmao. Anyway Markup is just nonsense for these mass produced vehicles
I feel the same about market adjustments. My BMW dealer refuses to do markups . I have bought 3 BMWs from them just because of that 👍
I have a 22 c class. When I went to the dealer they originally had a 3,000 markup but I got it taken off simply by answer their question of “do you really want this car” I said yes. I also got a 300 dollar discount off msrp just because i said i would rate their dealer 5 stars on a surgery they give you after you buy the car.

Could you please tell me if it is the same engine with the 320e. I have good offer fo 320e and considering to but it. But the problem is the horse power it is slow. I would like to increase it with software tuning. I would like to have advice if I it is possible to increase the hp to the same level as 330e ? And not to have any problems in the future
Yes, the e and the i have the same engine. The e is just a hybrid

The steering wheel on the bmw looks old and traditional compared to the benz, bmw exterior looks more premiem and great in person .. but benz wins of the interior especially in the red lether .. i guess for the reliability, comfort and the cost for maintenance i go for the benz but 3 series still a good option .. the only thing that shocked me bmw interior looks high quality but screens looks more clearer on benz
As much as I love the C-Class I got to go for the 3-Series because that is a really handsome design that they have with the 3-Series and I want it not to hate on Mercedes they did do a good job with the technology but I just rather go for BMW I'm a huge fan of BMW especially Rolls-Royce to now that BMW own Rolls-Royce

Mercedes needs to get docked points heavily until they step up their fit and finish as well as material quality. Inexcusable amounts of cheap plastic and creaky trim
The BMW 3 series is significantly better than both the C-Class, and the A4. Cheaper, better styling, more standard power, etc
I’d agree with this, as I’ve owned 3 Mercedes, just picked up a 750i, can’t believe how much more I enjoy the BMW for driving.
I do however love the looks of Mercedes though and a lot of the tech that currently are doing with MBUX 2.0. iDrive is definitely the weakest part of owning a BMW
3 series has nearly ‘7 series level quitness’ according to the dB tests. Which is not ‘segment expectation’.
I think it deserve big mention while the difference is that much with c class. Isn’t make feel that much difference in real experience?
I have a 330e and while i agree it is pretty silence, they didnt tested it on the same road so the values here cant be trusted

They both look "normal", they don't shine like in the 90s. I mean there are better looking cars for this price. But I must say the 3 looks better even though I always liked mercys better.

I'm a Mercedes fan, but this c class generation is a let down in a number of ways. My choice is the 3 series for this segment, but with the limousines, I'll take the S class over the 7 series any day.
I could buy an Accord 2.0T that’ll come with all of those features…plus, it’s faster than both of those.

Honestly if you can add 5-10k more and buy a slightly used Porsche Panamera you will get a luxurious and fast car from a higher class. Out of these 2 I think BMW is better.

The fact that the Mercedes is a new generation and still the BMW is the benchmark, shows that BMW is in fact on another level. They're not called the Benchmark for nothing.
Ill give you only 1 tip which will prevail on merc 100%, c300e have electric range of 70+ km, while bmw 330e have only 35 km, anyway heres one more c300e is faster.

Manual tilt/telescope wheel is miles better than automatic. BMW has manual because its a sports sedan for people who want to change the way the cars drives in a second. Also less motors to fail in years to come.

Except for the upper part of the dashboard and doors ALL other surfaces in the Mercedes are made of hard plastic materials.
The BMW offers also soft touch surfaces beneath the shoulder line.

Exactly! I don't know why many car reviewers and journalist gloss over this part. The entire lower half of the doors and dash in the C Class is hard cheap plastic where previous models were all soft touch there. It's unacceptable. And all reviews I've seen just gloss over it!! They're swooned by the LOOK of the interior and not the quality.

Lmao how? Tesla model 3 isn't even close too this 2 cars. These are LUXURY sedans. I've test drove a model 3 performance and it may of been the most dull and non special interior I've ever witnessed. It screams cost cutting. No HUD or gauge clusters was an instant turn off. Most plain jane view ever. Not to mention the car turns absolutely no heads. Looks like some kind of egg blob. Not sporty or sleek at all. The steering felt robotic its driving dynamics compared to a bmw m340i is night and day. I tried the EV trend and never again. I went with a bmw g80 m3 after I got a raise at my job but I truly don't see the appeal in a tesla at all except if ur using it as a poor mans quick car. If u been in a fast car before though it doesn't impress u

The interior material and build quality of the C Class is horrendous. Cheap plastics on the entire lower half of the doors and dash as well as creaks and flexing of parts on the doors and Centre console. Unacceptable.
All new Mercs are seriously overrated. The engineers have left Mercedes and the accountants run it now. Cost cutting is evident in every aspect of it. They've only focused on the tech in the screen and that's it. And the tech is the cheap part because cheap Chinese cars have all that. Mercs defining feature was supposed to be their unwavering engineering and solidity. That doesn't come through. So there's no reason to buy a Mercedes anymore.
