      @@anaveragehuman2937 that really depends on where you live. People in Europe and UK do keep their cars for like 8 years but only got less than 50k miles/80K kms over the 8 years. In US, Canada, Australia you can drive a car 50k miles within 2 years.

    I've been leasing a 2021 series 3 for almost 3 years now and I've had zero issues with it. Everything looks very good and I enjoy driving it. The trunk space is really good (i can fit my 5yo kid's bike easily) and room for other smaller bags. I think it's a great option for families of up to 4. I wish it had a bit more leg room in the back seats though. I may lease a new 2023 this year.

    I’ve had mine for 3 months and no issues. Excellent MPGs. I do a lot of highway driving and averaging 47-50mpg. The two issues I hate about the car is 1) the way the car turns off in and out of a garage and 2) how hot the iPhone gets when using wireless charging. To the point it turns off. SMH. Overall car is great.

    BMW has a program where you get 3 years (3) of oil changes for a set price of$225. My 2012 535Xdrive has had to have a lot of maintenance to keep it in good running condition but the exterior and interior looks almost new. Going over rough roads it is still rock solid at 115000 miles.

      We have a 2011 328i x-drive. For the first 8 years or so, it was mostly just regular maintenance. But for the last 3 years or so, it has been an endless parade to the dealer for repairs. And of course, they are all expensive repairs. It's a shame, because it has low mileage, and when healthy, the car still drives like new, has little or no rattle and creaks, and is very roomy for what is, by today's standards, a very compact sedan. But it's time to say goodbye to it, and we're debating whether to get the new 330i or the 330e. The fact we put very low mileage on our cars, and that in Canada a comparably equipped 330e x-drive costs significantly more than a 330i x-drive would tip us in favour of the 330i. It would take us forever to recoup the extra cost of the 330e.

      I have 13,000 miles on mine. Just about 1/2 of that is on electric. I don’t understand why the trade in value has dropped to 32k from 53k MSRP in 1.5 years. That’s the only issue I have with this car. The gasoline engine has 6.5k on it. It’s essentially a 330i engine detuned. When you drive in Electric only mode, you really don’t put that much stress on any component as how much stress can 100 hp do to a car? I hope the battery goes within the 8 year warranty. If it does, I really see this car going beyond 10 years easily. To top things off, they gave me a 330i as a loaner when I went for maintenance. Guess what? I didn’t like it as much. I drove my son’s 2023 M340i - no doubt it is insanely fast - but another guess what? I like the 330e more.

    • @2004cyrus
      @2004cyrus 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I could have told you they are almost all a huge pain in the ass. I’m in the industry, the CPO marketing has become a joke inside of the industry. Mechanics quit and tell me they can’t sleep at night because of management telling them just slap a sticker on, make sure the vehicle is reasonably safe, and if it has problems the customer can bring it back later and we will drag it out, brush them off. This is at dealers across the country as trends spread quickly these days. I told my family and friends, buy new or don’t trust the CPO stickers. Dealers just charge more and follow the minimum local laws and push the customer away or tell the customer we fixed it when in fact the repair was equivalent to a Bandaid. I have had every car in 30 years of adulthood and now I drive Mazdas as my main reliable cars. I do have a Porsche 911t S and some other niche vehicles that have problems and I anticipate it. The Mazdas don’t break.

    To keep the car on, you can either buckle the seat belt or put it in Xtraboost mode. The car will stay on even when you open the driver's side door.
    Also if you try to park close to the curb, and slowly move the car with the driver's side door open, make sure to have the seat belt on, otherwise the car will automatically put the transmission in P. Definitely not good for your tranny while the car is still moving.

    The issues you note in your video show you’ve really had to dig to find much. The car is under warranty and the dealer will fix the trunk noise.
    Agree the APP is the best of any car I’ve owned. It actually works and is very useful.
    The run flats are something I would suggest you should have made a negative. They are the subject of frustration in virtually every owner forum.

We don’t want to leave our Yorkie in the car, but there are a few times where we can’t take her into an establishment. Does the car allow still shut off everything if you get out of the car? This is why I prefer high quality foe leather over genuine leather, it just holds up better over time when it comes to vehicle interior. Now yes expensive high quality leather feels better more comfortable indeed, but high quality fo leather can be comfortable as well but with better longevity. I went for the fake leather hoping that all German Fake Leather is similar. My brother needed a temporary car years ago (1993) because he was getting a company car in two months. He bought a 15 year old Mercedes 240d with 320,000 miles on it for $900. The fake leather was in incredible condition. I know they don’t make them like they used to, but the BMW fake leather feels and looks just as good. That old Mercedes was nearly flawless for those 2 months btw.

Coming from someone who also owns Audi Q5 and previous gen 540i with idrive 7. 330e in xboost mode from signal to signal has serious torque, you got to drive one to feel what it really means when both electric and inline outputs combined power. Top it with one of the best NVH , you need to look at the rear view mirror to see how fast the car is accelerating. This is my daily for pick up and drop kiddo from school . 20 miles back and forth , hook for regular outlet charging and fully charged and ready to go for evening. 86 mpg average , I force this car to battery hold to drain the gasoline after a while so I can refuel it.

    You guys didn't talk about whether smaller trunk (compared to the 330i) is an issue in everyday use. To me, that may be a dealbreaker for families, especially families with young children, and will be lugging around strollers, sport equipment, etc.

    After the battery is depleted and the car is running solely on the gas engine, does it feel sluggish, given that the gas engine in the 330e puts out less than 200hp, and the battery weighs around 300lb?

      It's fine when you are driving normally. If you want more power, use XtraBoost which just makes gas and EV work together to their max

    Can't wait to own this car.. do have a question though. On long drives when the battery is " -- "does the car feel slower without the electric assistance or does it drive the same with enough passing power?
    Also pressing sports mode would solve the turning off issue when exiting, is still annoying though.

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I believe that the only time both systems completely work together to maximize power is in the XtraBoost drive mode, so there's no meaningful change in acceleration when the battery runs out. Thanks for watching!

    So after one year, the trunk makes an annoying sound as it's closing, the brakes are a little jerky, and sometimes it will respond when you don't want it to when saying BWW or Lexus. These "problems" are why I finally took a chance and bought a MINI. BMW has improved not only their reliability but also that of MINI. To the point Consumer Reports named MINI the #3 most reliable car brand of 2024. They are expensive to get serviced once the warranty has expired, but BMW seems to have actually listened to their customers complaints and are building cars that spend far more time on the road and less being serviced in the garage.

    Runflats are a complete rip off. Next time take a look at some Yokohama Apex V601. Sporty affordable tire. Would have saved you a some money and they look better. Perelli tires suck and they are expensive, if you’re dropping that much money you should have gotten some PS4S.
