I come from the same 'small' Canadian town as Shania, Timmins. Didn't know her personally, we went to rival highschools, but my mother used to go bowling with hers. I remember seeing her play in the Timmins Square mall before she got signed.

Shania's video for this song came out and was very similar in style to Robert's, but flipped the script if you will. The outfits you were commenting on from this concert are influenced by the official music video. This and "That Don't Impress Me Much" are two of my favorites of her catalog but she is an amazing singer with some great hits worth checking out. In concert they are a show unto themselves. They are an awesome band and they never miss a note.--I give them a ton of credit and applause.

Just watched a new video with Shania Twain at some award show. She did "That don't impress me much" live. And in the song, where the lyrics say "So you think you're Brat Pitt", she changed it to "So you think you're Ryan Reynolds" ... and Ryan's reaction at his table was hillarious :)
I remember being a young man in my mid twenties, being absolutly "in love" with Shania. Today in my mid 40's as I wath your reaction I am reminded of how beautiful and Talented she was and is.

Another great reaction! Right on again and again. The thing is it seems that she's fearless. The club scene was pretty hot when she lived in Toronto --- '80's or early' '90's I believe -- maybe that gave her ideas of what to go for in music, dancing, and style.

I come from the same 'small' Canadian town as Shania, Timmins. Didn't know her personally, we went to rival highschools, but my mother used to go bowling with hers. I remember seeing her play in the Timmins Square mall before she got signed.
This and "honey I'm home" was all over radio between 1997 and 2000 both by shania she was country music radio for a 4 year run with the album come on over which came out in 1997.... of the 17 songs 11 were released as singles and i think 8 were hits
I went to a Shania Twain concert in college in the late '90s. I can't remember whether she did this song or not. My favorite Shania Twain song at the time was "You're Still The One".

A little background on this song. It came out in the late 90s shortly after Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love. The video for it was criticized for being sexist. Shania's video for this song came out and was very similar in style to Robert's, but flipped the script if you will. The outfits you were commenting on from this concert are influenced by the official music video. This and "That Don't Impress Me Much" are two of my favorites of her catalog but she is an amazing singer with some great hits worth checking out. As always, I love the energy you bring to your reactions.
