Yes. Home Free is an acapella group much like Pentatonix or Voice Play. The members are Austin Brown - Tenor, Tim Foust - Bass, Adam Rupp - Beatbox, Adam Chance - Baritone, and Rob Lundquist - Low Tenor. Their fans are called "Home Fries". Welcome to the party! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_Free_(group)
Check out an original song "CHAMPAGNE TASTE ON A BEER BUDGET " and the covers "BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE" ," GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN " and welcome to the "Rabbit Hold".
You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney. Some of my favorites are "Take Me Home Country Roads", "In The Blood", "Ring Of Fire", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "How Great Thou Art", "Elvira", "Hillbilly Bone", "American Pie", "Brother In Arms", "One Man Band", "Listen To The Music", "Sea Shanty Medley" etc.
Dagmar! You copy and paste this on every reaction you can find, which is fine but PLEASE use paragraphs so it’s easier for all to read. You have a really good message so please help us all out and make sure we get it. I’m copying this until you get it! 😉
That was one of the best reactions I have ever seen. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. You will find yourself totally addicted to their awesomeness. They can do absolute heart-wrenching (Brothers in Arms), heart-melting romance (When a Man Loves a Woman), total silly (Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer) and anything in between. Buckle up lady, it's going to be a long ride.
I am soooooo glad you finally listened to them. EVERYTHING they do is amazing. I bet you will really like How Great Thou Art. The Harmonies are amazing an the setting for the video is stunning. Put your hands on the top of your head for the last note because it will blow the top of your head off. Some of my favorites are ELVIRA, SEA SHANTY, WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN, I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN with Lee Greenwood and air force band singers. Pentatonix is good but Home Free are/is amazing. Like everyone has said this rabbit hole is deeeeep. Always happy to welcome a new Home Fry. Love love love your channel, and you are beautiful inside and out. Keep up the good work.
Lover your reactions, yes you are bout to go down the Home Free rabbit hole for sure! You have to see most of their videos they are absolutely the best acapella groups out today. You have only begun to hear how deep Tim the bass singer can go and his 5 octive range is unbelievable.
Hahahaha - welcome to Home Free, my friend! These men will continue to blow you away time and time again - they have no weaknesses in their vocal abilities... none at all. They are each soloists in their own rights, yet they blend and harmonize and backup each other gracefully, outstandingly, whenever it's appropriate. And they all are the BEST humans - inspiring, and caring and loving and wholesome. Their amazing fan base is called the Home Fries. Welcome! And yes, nearly everything they do is completely a Capella. If you don't "see" in the video the instrument you hear, it's being done with a voice box (or a clap or a stomp). Current members: Tim (bass), Adam "Chance" (baritone), Rob (tenor - w/beard), Austin (tenor - w/hat), Adam (beat-boxing/backup vocals). Their repertoire is deep. A lot of country, but they do lots of other genres too. Great reaction! Enjoy them!
I saw these guys live a year ago and was stunned by how good they are. You really need to see them live to appreciate the talent and depth of their vocals. the base singer rattled the seats in the theater.
I am 50 seconds in and I already want desperately for you to react to Austin singing "When a Man Loves a Woman". That will be entertaining as all heck...
Your eyes and facial reactions is what does it for me. I love Home Free. They have many great songs. You won't be disappointed with any next songs choice from these guys. You just have to promise not to do " mayday " until you have done at least 5 or 6 of their other videos. The shock factor will blow your mind
Welcome to the Home Free fan club! It just isn't normal what they can do with their voices. It's beautiful and amazing. The musicality is off the charts!
Your reaction is priceless.... Welcome to Home Free. Us very loyal fans call ourselves "Home Fries" This group of humble guys are the best of the best when it comes to A Capella. They sing all genres so you will find a lot of songs that you like in their large and growing library of songs on TH-cam. Looking forward to watching you react to many more home free songs 🙂
Yes, Adam Chance (baritone) is simulating the Jaws Harp, Adam Rupp (percusionist) is simulating the harmonica. They are the two in the back line (left to right). The front line (l to r) is Rob Lundquist (tenor 2), Austin Brown (tenor 1) and Tim Faust (basso profundo). They do use a looper when the sing this live so they get up to seven voices at a time. If you want to hear them imitate a pipe organ watch Brothers in Arms and to see their fun side watch The Butts Remix.
The sounds that come out of Adam and Chance are amazing - sound so much like instruments, like Naturally 7. The initial and ending sounds were like a juice harp, also kinda sound like a didgeridoo (from Australia). Love their arrangements of almost every one of their songs. They have some fun satires, too, like Champagne Taste and Full of Cheer. You'll have to check them out. Listen to the Music is super, as well! Love the reactions :)
Welcome to the rabbit hole. These guys are amazing. Pick anything they do and it's fire.ive seen them live twice and they are just as good live. Two of them can do the harmonica and they can all beatbox to some degree. React to "End of the Road" Boyz to men cover.
😂 Great reaction little lady! A lot of ladies have reacted the same way for sure. They are a great group, and I guess their live shows are just amazing!
Was laughing at your reaction, it was so genuine and the amazement, and confusion you felt is probably the same we all felt when we realize the vocals and music are all real and coming from them and not instruments.
They have a great amazing cover of "End of the Road" by Boyz to Men and especially you will love, their cover of "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Michael Bolton.
@@silversagerae6353 It's easy to mistake excellent covers for originals...especially when the cover comes 25 years after the original. For decades, I was SURE The Mamas & The Papas originated "Dream a Little Dream of Me" in 1968. Good thing that wasn't a bet...because I would have lost by 37 years!

That opening sound is mimicking a small pluck instrument known by several names such as mouth harp, Jews harp or jaw harp which twangs when plucked against the lips. They were popular because they were dirt cheap and could be carried in a pocket. Great reaction.

Hey Britt, Get ready to go down one of the deepest "rabbit-holes" of music when it comes to Home Free!!! Let me welcome you now into the "HOME FRIES" fan base because these guys are going to continuously blow you away!!! Mic Drop!!! 🎤
The top three a cappella groups on YT: Home Free, Pentatonix, and Voice Play. Each amazing in their own unique way. Their remake of Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire', with guest Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix is a must see video.
Welcome to the Home Fries club! This is a rabbit hole I am DYING for you to go down! So many awesome songs for you to react to here. And can I say that your nails are fire today! 😁
Yes accapella harmonica, jews harp and so much more and that is just from the beat boxer!!! The bass, Tim, is extremely deep and smooth. These 5 guys, imho, are the best this world has heard in a long time if not ever. While they have a long list of songs, again imho, this is one that showcases their talents above all.
Home Free, in my opinion, is the best acapella group today! The beat boxer and other noises is Adam Rupp, Austin Brown tenor, Rob Lundquist tenor, Adam Chance baritone, and Tim Foust 5 octave Basso profundo! They have a ton of songs to choose from: How Great Thou Art, Brothers In Arms, Don't Laugh At Me, Bless The Broken Road, End Of The Road(Boys To Men cover) When A Man Loves A Woman, My Church, Misty Mountain(Peter Hollens and Tim Foust) and much more! Also check out Geoff Castellucci another Basso Profundo singing 16 Tons you'll be blown away! Home Free is my favorite and you'll love them too as you continue your rabbit hole journey with them! Thank you!
I think you just may have been inaugurated into our Home Fry group !!! These guys truly what an a Capella group encompasses, & the fact that they are all easy on the eyes, is a bonus 😍
The "sound coming out of someone's body" is the sound of a jaw harp and harmonica. Dude is incredible. He has a video of him doing a solo drum set live on stage. Check it out, it'll blow you away.
Best reaction to this!! I love Home Free. Home Free is in my opinion the best acapella group out there. Every song they do are great. If a cover, they upgrade! The rabbit hole is deep but worth going down it. Many have suggested songs so I won't list any here. I discovered them in the fall of 2020. This past Dec. I got to see them live!! Oh it wasn't a concert, It was a party!!!!
Home Free is great! Welcome to the rabbit hole. They do so many fire renditions of famous and popular songs. "How Great Thou Art" "Mary Did You Know" "My Church" "When A Man Loves A Woman" "End Of The Road by Boys 2 Men" and so many more. I really think you'll love this group. They're fantastic.
I loved your reaction. Based on this reaction, you're going to love their cover of "When A Man Loves A Woman". Home Free is the best acapella group out there. They do not disappoint with their originals and covers.
Welcome to my absolute favorite acapella group!! They started here in my state of Minnesota, and as you can see, they are insanely talented. I have watched dozens and dozens of first time reactions to this video, and yours is quite possibly my favorite!! 😁 Your shocked brain melting expressions were glorious! Okay, here's the gang: *Rob Lundquist, tenor (far left, epic beard): smooooth vocals and a constant source of humor. *Austin Brown, high tenor (middle, first singer): soaring vocals who can throw in some awesome yodeling. *Tim Foust, bass (far right, dragon voice): low bass with an insane range, who can sing an octave lower than what you heard here. *Adam Chance, baritone (back left): versatile singer who covers the bass when Tim takes the lead, and who provided the jaw harp sounds. Goes by Chance to avoid confusion with.... *Adam Rupp, percussion (back right): this man is simply not human. Drums, harmonica, castanets, and a bajillion other sounds. *Chris Rupp: Adam's brother and one of the founders of the group, who left some years ago to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Adam Chance. You will see him in some older videos, usually wearing a cowboy hat. Everything they do is phenomenal, and here are some suggestions: "How Great Thou Art" and "Helplessly Hoping" (sheer vocal perfection). "All About That Bass" and "The Butts Medley" (for a look at their goofy side). "Blue Ain't Your Color" and "Bless the Broken Road" (for some different genres). "Folsom Prison Blues" (for more of Adam's harmonica and notes from Tim that come from the mines of Moria). "Do You Hear What I Hear?" (my hands down favorite Home Free song). Welcome to the Home Fries!! Have fun going down the rabbit hole! 😊
OMG I've watched a lot of reactions to this but yours was the best you had me in stitches the whole time. Someone mentioned Addams drum solo video witch is awesome but there is also a video of Tim hitting a note so low he actually blew sub woofers.
5:30 . There is no harmonica there. And the the the bariton ! Hahaha . The look on your face. Priceless. Keep up your good work and thanks for that beautiful smile of yours. 👍👍👍🇸🇪😎💕
That was fabulous! I love watching people get sucked into the Home Free eddy. 5 of the most perfect voices you will ever hear in perfect harmony. I'm sure you already have dozens of recommendations from the Home Fries, but I will add my 2 cents. How Great Thou Art is a master class in harmony. Their cover of the Doobie Brothers' classic Listen to the Music has it all - great backing harmonies, amazing lead vocals and the best vocal percussion you are likely to hear anywhere. But my absolute favorite is their version of the Christmas song Do You Hear What I Hear. I'm not a Christmas music fan, but the first time I heard this I was mesmerized. And it still does that to me after, I don't know, 100? listens. Arranged by Adam Rupp, the vocal percussionist, to me it is the best arrangement of any Christmas song, ever. Welcome to the family. Sit down and stay awhile. One song down, about 200 to go.
That was a great reaction and if reminds me of my first reaction to Home Free. I'm so ready to have a great ride of you introducing yourself to HF's diverse catalogue of voice/song. They all sing great, including Adam Rupp the beatboxer. They can all beatbox but only Adam has 20 years perfecting it. No doubt you will get suggestions so I'm buckling up for the ride.
Welcome to the awesome world of Home Free’s incredible talent. This official music video was the subject of the very first reaction I watched, ever. Needless to say it floored me like it does everyone. There’s a reason these guys are so successful… well, maybe more like five reasons. But there are a LOT more great renditions where this came from… and I do mean a lot.
Congrats on becoming a fellow Home Fry. I've watched dozens of reactions to this video, and you are the first person I've seen who noticed that it was Adam Chance (the actual baritone of the group) who made the "didgeridoo" sound. Kudos! Great reaction! Other vids from Home Free to experience are "RING OF FIRE" and "BROTHERS IN ARMS". Have fun in the rabbit hole!
@@georgemegaw2925 Thanks for sharing your thoughts on my comment, George. When I was a kid, I had a nice collection of jaw harps. (Spoons and kazoos, too.) All of the haw harps I owned and played seemed higher in pitch than what I hear in this song, so the didgeridoo was the only other instrument that sounds similar to me. I've heard from other sources that what he is doing is called Tibetan throat singing, or something like that. Probably something I should look up and see. Thanks again, George! :)
First off, girl your skin makes me super jealous it’s so gorgeous and also your eyebrows ARE ON POINT!!! Loved your reaction I recently discovered this group as well I’m ashamed that I’ve been sleeping on them!! Just insane how incredible they ALL are!!!

I absolutely LOVE that you got this! I have listened to other reactions to this song, and very few understood it the way that you did. You are my favorite!!
Tim Faust did a duet with Peter Hollens called “Misty Mountain” that REALLY showcases his bass. He goes so low that it’s almost a subharmonic vibration. Freaked me the hell out the first time I heard it!!!
Wow, I've seen a lot of reactors see and hear Home Free for the first time with this song, but this is the best! And you correctly identified Adam Chance as the guy doing the mouth harp/didgeridoo sound. Almost no one catches that as Chance was in the background on this one. As someone else noted here, the birth of a Home Fry is a beautiful thing to see. The next song a lot of people do is Ring of Fire, but there are literally hundreds to choose from.
You want to hear a didgeridoo go to Home Free Drum Solo. the jews harp and the didgeridoo are two different instruments with the didgeridoo having a much deeper tone and the jews harp, or mouth harp, sounding higher and much twangier.
Their is a video you will want to see that has them on stage demonstrating his ability to mouth box or make all of those ridiculous sounds without instrument. They also cover many other well known songs and are a pleasure to listen to.
Subbed for more HF, best a cappella group out there. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is them. There is so much to say, but everyone else has probably already said it. Please do more Home Free reactions, you'll enjoy the Home Free rabbit hole!
peace
I think you might enjoy their cover of "End of the Road" originally by Boys to Men, or "Ring of Fire" originally by Johnny Cash.
Check out an original song "CHAMPAGNE TASTE ON A BEER BUDGET " and the covers "BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE" ," GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN " and welcome to the "Rabbit Hold".
The confusion and moisture is the natural reaction of most women to this video.
I was laughing a good 4 minutes
You can't leave out the " Butt Remix". It is so good and will make you laugh.
I also recommend "When a Man Loves a Woman", "Country Fried Pop Medley", & "Helplessly Hoping". 🍟❤️
Dagmar! You copy and paste this on every reaction you can find, which is fine but PLEASE use paragraphs so it’s easier for all to read.
You have a really good message so please help us all out and make sure we get it.
I’m copying this until you get it! 😉
I wouldn't say the best, but one of the best.
They Even did randy Travis forever and ever amen and it was amazing
And if “how great thou art” doesn’t bring a tear to your eye, you aren’t really alive
It’s amazing when people listen to real vocalist instead of this modern rap, pop, etc…. The expression on their face is priceless.
The first n last sound you heard was Chance imitating a jaw harp. Love your first reaction to Home Free.😁
oh now THIS was a fun first reaction! have fun checking them out!
Looking forward to watching you react to many more home free songs 🙂
the utter richness of those guys as vocalist and beatboxers and the sound of the swamp and harmonizing and it is a stellar recording
Their cover of Go Rest High is a must as well as How Great Thou Art. When a Man Loves a Woman is another must listen.
Great reaction. They are an awesome acapella group. Very talented and loved your reaction to the sounds.
Have not seen a single bad HF vid yet. All are awesome. Some are EPIC!
Michael Bolton's version was a cover, too. The original was performed in 1966 by Percy Sledge: th-cam.com/video/EYb84BDMbi0/w-d-xo.html
@@rcinsley thanks for correction I see thus mistake ALL the time.
@@rcinsley yeah, I would have to respectfully disagree. In the 70s 80s, 90s. That wad true But in the age of the internet and Google there is no excuse to not know such a tidbit before typing it in and hitting send lol
Home Free don't do covers - they do upgrades... (o:
That opening sound is mimicking a small pluck instrument known by several names such as mouth harp, Jews harp or jaw harp which twangs when plucked against the lips. They were popular because they were dirt cheap and could be carried in a pocket. Great reaction.
Can't wait for you to do Home Free's "Butts Remix" and "End of the Road (Boys to Men)." These guys are RIDICULOUSLY talented. So glad you're reacting to them!!
The one doing all the instrumentals with his voice is: "THE WORLD CHAMPION BEAT BOXER."
Hey Britt, Get ready to go down one of the deepest "rabbit-holes" of music when it comes to Home Free!!! I am a "Home Fry" (one of their fans), and with no disrespect to all of the other great A Capella groups out there, IMHO Home Free (both collectively & individually) is the most "versatile" Vocal Band on the planet!!! They do all kinds of genres and with that said, you need to check out their cover of Boyz II Men "END OF THE ROAD" and honey you will just be getting started, trust me!!! Let me welcome you now into the "HOME FRIES" fan base because these guys are going to continuously blow you away!!! Mic Drop!!! 🎤
I never heard this type of music before but even i know these guys are very talented.
The top three a cappella groups on YT: Home Free, Pentatonix, and Voice Play. Each amazing in their own unique way.
Their remake of Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire', with guest Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix is a must see video.
All three are absolute gold.
Should take a listen to Hoist the Colors by the Bass singers of Tik Tok
OMG She is the cutest thing I've seen since my wife of 41 years!
Thank you!
They have got so many good songs- you can't go wrong with any of them!!! They are awesome.
When a man loves a woman, End of the road and lots of others!! Once you hear them you'll always want more!!!!
Party is what they say when you see them live, and that's just what it is!!
Oh those beautiful eyes! When Tim starting his bass solo you FROZE in enjoyment. That was priceless.
This reaction is my absolute favorite!! Much love 🤘🏻🤣
Okay, here's the gang:
*Rob Lundquist, tenor (far left, epic beard): smooooth vocals and a constant source of humor.
Everything they do is phenomenal, and here are some suggestions:
"How Great Thou Art" and "Helplessly Hoping" (sheer vocal perfection).
That instrument you are hearing is called a mouth harp or here in the mountains we call them juice harps.
Home free is absolutely amazing, they have become one of my favorite groups. Everything they have done is just mind blowing
Acapella yes, no instruments. They are awesome. GOD BLESS YOU AND EVERYONE🙏😇❤️🤗
Didgeridoo is much lower in pitch… for all I’ve heard …. I’m pretty sure this is aural mimicking of a Jaw Harp.
@@GranpaMike he has some funky multiphonics going on in that vocalization for sure!
everything you are hearing is vocal!!!! Huge fan of theirs!!
First off, girl your skin makes me super jealous it’s so gorgeous and also your eyebrows ARE ON POINT!!! Loved your reaction I recently discovered this group as well I’m ashamed that I’ve been sleeping on them!! Just insane how incredible they ALL are!!!
You should see them in person the show is so cool, lights and sound
Home Free’s rendition of How Great Thou Art is the most moving thing I’ve ever heard.
I heard these people for the first time last night I was amazed
Watch Austin sing “When a Man Loves a Woman”! Girl. You think this song was pantie-droppin’ - hold on to your butt! 😂. I have always loved Percy’s song but this is my new favorite. ❤️
You're now a 'Home Fry'. Can't wait to see you react to their other songs...and there's plenty of them. Welcome to the journey.
I love the fly-catching-jaw drop when this starts for a new person.😂😂😂😂😂
I absolutely LOVE that you got this! I have listened to other reactions to this song, and very few understood it the way that you did. You are my favorite!!
Home Free's cover of 'End of the Road' will probably leave your jaw on the floor...
Absolutely love your reaction to this song. Home Free is one of the best Acapella groups out their.
Their is a video you will want to see that has them on stage demonstrating his ability to mouth box or make all of those ridiculous sounds without instrument. They also cover many other well known songs and are a pleasure to listen to.
Yep, you are correct
All vocal, even the instrument sounds
All while singing
Epic!!!
Subbed for more HF, best a cappella group out there. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is them. There is so much to say, but everyone else has probably already said it. Enjoy your journey through their repertoire. It's phenomenal and it's ALWAYS interesting. Sometimes fun, sometimes solemn, but always interesting.
Saw them in concert in 2019. Amaaaaazing! And I’m crushing bad on Tim Foust! ( bass) 😍😍😍
Great reaction and welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole! You won't regret it! If you want to hear truly insane harmonies, check out their "Helplessly Hoping".
And, with any of the modern a cappella rabbit holes, they are all connected to other rabbit holes, and it's easy to disappear in them for awhile, lol.
Yes ma'am, welcome to Home Free! One of the best reactions I've seen to this song. I'm going to their concert in 3 weeks! Listen to all their stuff. You will not be disappointed. 😁
This is just the tip of the iceberg. These guys never cease to amaze.
That’s mad talent right there. And I’m completely fan-girling over that lead vocalist. When he looked up when he first started…be still my heart.
Her husband is a lucky man she is absolutely beautiful and so sweet
