We barely see Jason Todd as Red Hood in any media besides comic books, but you know what we see less of? His time as Robin. Just once, I wanna see Batman and Jason as his Robin and actually kick ass. In the modern day we seem to just glide by Jason's time as Batman's sidekick in order to get to the part where he's objectively cool asf. I need some more of Jason Jermaine Todd donning the cape and domino mask.
Mane I've been waiting for a video like this! Red Hood is literally probably one of DC's best selling characters, and they treat him like shit and don't give him any progression and make him act like he and Batman are always on sum kind of beef, when in a comic, Bruce straight up states, "Jason does what I can't when the world needs it" shows that Bruce doesn't approve of Jason's methods but he understands them. And they need to give Red Hood a new solo run, key-word being Solo. No team. No Batman or Family Member looking over his shoulder, just Red Hood, doing what he does best, without any restrictions. And add him dating Rose Wilson then DC and I will be straight
Just when a character that shows how batman could develop past batman killing the joker but nah! The editors are sharing notes with spiderman editors on how to make characters suffer and STILL stays stagnant in their development 😕 😞
Hes ALWAYS been the goat! I hate that the writers treat him like spider-man he 100% needs a game but if Jason had one all crime in gotham would be gone in 3 days 😂 80% of batmans rouge's gallery aren't bulletproof
I remember one comic where Red Hood and Supergirl teamed up and they were pretty good. Yeah Jason tricked her, but they still fought well together and Jason DEFINITELY showed off to impress her with his skills and strength (and she was impressed 😏) she was in a relationship with some guy, i honestly don't know who he is but yeah, and i think it was Jason who said that "There's a difference between what you love and what you're attracted to." He knew that Supergirl did find him interesting, but knew that she didn't love him. I feel like that could've have been the start of a very good story arc and character development for the two as they could be the next gen World's greatest, Like Batman and Superman. The two would kick so much ass together, not to mention it would be cool to see those two fight and go further than what others can go, like REALLY break some criminals or take down aliens that are planning to attack Earth. Hell, there was even a time Jason basically became a teacher for a group of Meta-Kids! Full on Professor X and the X-men up in this fool! And I think he did a good job with them, I'm not sure if they scrapped it or still kept going with it though. Jason has so much untapped potential but DC is too scared to try something new
Red Hood is my 2nd favorite antihero in fiction (below the Punisher) & I'm just as stupefied that he's barely gotten in the spotlight. I'm glad he's getting some more traction in comics at least (appearing in The Boy Wonder, having his own webtoons comic, & a sorta solo comic Red Hood: The Hill).
Why can't they let my boi have his time in the spotlight? The fact they respect Harley f*ckin' Quinn more than the man they resurrected from the grave and made into a Punisher esque red bowled badass (whom they themselves voted to die!) is atrocious to say the least!
Under the red hood single handedly sparked my love for red hood in general, when he meets bruce and jason says the line "you want to rule them by fear? Well what do you do with the ones who arent afraid" just goes to completely solidify his character
5:05 Honestly, I hate when Batman kills the Joker in this matter. If he does kill the Joker, it should be in the heat of the moment, not premeditated. Batman should have saw Joker admiring his handy work after freshly killing Jason. Seeing this would make Bruce go off in a way he never had before. Batman beats Joker’s skull and stupid grin in for a minute straight before finally regaining control only to see he stopped too late. The Joker is dead, but it doesn’t take away the pain of losing Jason. Now Batman has to deal with the loss of his son and the shame of forsaking everything he believed in. Yes, Joker deserves to die, but actively choosing to kill him instead of it being an action made in a moment of weakness goes against everything Batman stands for.
“red hood is the realest nouga in all of DC” The subtitles. 😂 But aye, I agree. Jason Todd deserves SO MUCH better than what we’ve gotten of him recently that hasn’t done him a SMIDGEN of Justice.
Jason todd is the bat family’s most badass and interesting member besides batman and batman beyond and even then as a standalone character separate from the family red hood is just incredible and badass
Red Hood like it or not is the realistic approach to Batman. Putting the same crazy person that kills thousands of innocents in prison for the 5th time isn't a great idea. Red Hood's mentality is literally just to get rid of crime permanently... Batman is still my favorite, but his no kill code still makes no sense to this day and if anything just makes more innocents be put in danger.
I hate this dumbass mentality you guys got because of red hood and just don't understand his character at all, red hood killing people wouldn't end crime at all, and in fact it's been proven time and time again that killing any of these villains have made things worse every single time they have died. Or do you not understand that?
Nightwing fan boys are trying to argue that task force Z fight between red Hood and the bat family. Saying how the bad family was holding back and he wasn’t. Bro they got clapped and his only competition is Batman
@@stimswwolf7867The whole Batfamily was holding back heavily. Jason Todd has never beaten Nightwing in a fight, he'd never stand a chance against Cass, Batman has wrecked him in pretty much every single encounter they've had, and Damian one shotted him in Batman #137. I could just imagine having a red hood game. Something like "Arkham runs red" or something where you play as red hood and can be the ruthless anti-hero and execute criminals or go non-lethal wihh added difficultly but a different ending. The more lethal you are the more hostile police are or something like that.
DC also hate nightwing, Terry McGinnis, Tim drake and thomas wayne and ruin them in favor of other member of batfamily like Damian and harley quinn! I can not describe how furious I was when they did my boy nightwing dirty in harley quinn show Level of disrespect in that show was crazy
I remember reading Batman Three Jokers when it came out and damn, Geoff Johns did Jason *so* dirty in that comic. I don't care that Jason killed one of the three Jokers, the fact that one of the Jokers recreated the most traumatic moment in Jason's life by beating him again with the crowbar and not getting true closure from Batman's perspective at least. And definitely not from Barbra. Good Lord, when Jason wrote on that letter that he would permanently stop being Red Hood if she would at least give him a chance, that cut so deep. And the fact that she never read the letter because it slipped off and Jason will never bring it up is just so painful. Jason just goes through it.
Jason went THROUGH IT in that whole 3 issue run. From him being found naked, killing the man that caused his trauma, to not letting him be loved, or find it
At one point a group of friends and I all agreed upon this. We were working up a whole mini-film project, and they all bailed because they thought arkham knights was going to do him justice. MY FAVORITE CHARACTER HAS BEEN TARNISHED!
I personally never liked Jason being brought back for a lot of reasons: - it completely destroys the importance of "A Death in the Family" and "A Lonely Place of Dying" and brushes off all the character development that Batman had in those comics - it was specifically against what Dennis O'Neil (a.k.a. the greatest editor and possibly writer Batman's comics ever had) wanted, until he remained the editor of Batman in 2000 he always backed against people at DC that wanted to bring back Jason - it doesn't make sense the fact that he calls himself Red Hood, yeah i know that in Killing Joke (and to be honest even in the Golden Age) it was established that Red Hood was Joker's original identity so from a metacomic point of view makes a connection between Jason and Joker that killed him but it has no in-universe reason and the point of the Killing Joke was that Joker doesn't actually remember his past life so the story about the comedian who lost his pregnant wife could be just one of the possible Joker's origins (and it's better that way since Joker functions better when you DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING about him) - it is blatantly clear that people at DC wanted so much to bring Jason back but didn't think of what to do exactly with the character AFTER his resurrection and this led to all these various problems and different directions - what's the point of Red Hood? Being an edgy Batman that kills people? Oh wait now that i think about it he can't even do that because Batman's rogues gallery is so much important than him so he can't kill Joker or Two-Face or Penguin and even if he could kill one of them he/she will be brought back to life sooner or later like Jason himself...he himself is the manifestation that all he will do to kill these villains is pointless because if Jason could be brought back to life even Black Mask or Professor Pyg could - his narrative arc is the discount version of Azrael's evolution, they both are meant as a version of Batman that is willing to kill, motivated by a cause that has a deep connection with their past, born as normal kids that got into this superhero stuff by a traumatic event and that will understand that their way is not the right path to follow, the main difference is that Azrael had the best event Batman has ever got to develop as a full fledged character (plus a good miniseries) while Red Hood circled around like a freaking vulture over and over the fact that killing was bad and finally got the memo in a Chip Zdarsky's comic just to be brought back by Rosenberg's awful task force z - Why Batman doesn't put him in jail? He killed a lot of gangsters, shot Penguin in the face (but the ol good Oz survived because as i said he is so much more important than Jason) and tried to kill Joker countless times...he should be locked up in Blackgate but no, apparently since he is a member of the Batfamily he has a free jail card always in his pocket Red Hood is just an edgy antihero that people like for his cool design and that's it
GAD DAMN My dream red hood game is just the same gameplay from arkham knight, maybe with new gadgets like his rifle he used in his boss fight Story is amanda gets his help to take down the ss after they go rogue, shes paranoid about task force x being compromised and decommissioned and her job being lost since the government wont view her as capable to run it, maybe gizmo finds a way to turn off the bombs for the squad, and she also hires Deathstroke to help and he gets to be a playable character where they expand on his gameplay from Arkham Origins, maybe the same way they did catwoman and batman in City where you switch as them, but still have missions like Panessa studios in knight where you call on the other character for stealth takedowns and allat. Enemies would be goons the squad hired after splitting up, maybe some of harley's old crew as well. Deadshot also breaks out the militia from gotham and has them under his command too. Side missions could be some of batman's old roster we seen already too, but this time Jason wont let them get a second chance... Obviously
Why would he tape the letter to the door? Slide it under the door.

One of my favorite members of the bat family, deserves his own game in the arkham verse
As long as sweet baby stay away from it
Mane I've been waiting for a video like this!
Under The Red Hood was a huge part of my childhood 🥲
Man they always been doing my boy red hood dirty, they give him no justice at all
I just want him to find love somewhere, somehow
Hes ALWAYS been the goat! I hate that the writers treat him like spider-man he 100% needs a game but if Jason had one all crime in gotham would be gone in 3 days 😂 80% of batmans rouge's gallery aren't bulletproof
FACTS 😂 GIVE JASON GOTHAM FOR ONE WEEK!
I remember one comic where Red Hood and Supergirl teamed up and they were pretty good. Yeah Jason tricked her, but they still fought well together and Jason DEFINITELY showed off to impress her with his skills and strength (and she was impressed 😏) she was in a relationship with some guy, i honestly don't know who he is but yeah, and i think it was Jason who said that "There's a difference between what you love and what you're attracted to."
He knew that Supergirl did find him interesting, but knew that she didn't love him.
Jason has so much untapped potential but DC is too scared to try something new
Bring red Hood back DC
Warner and DC finna be in the books as the only mfs who AVOID the bag this much 💀
DC give Jason and Rose a duo comic and MY LIFE IS YOURS
W reference 😂😂
DAMN 8 MINUTES OF DEMIGAH ENERGY?! Im the happiest man in the World right now
Maaan, I gotta do this more often
"She didn't need that gaht damn wheelchair to get around" had me dead as hell 🤣
1:13 BRO What is this physics of harley Quinn 😳. THATS NUTS XD
The physics we lost in ssktjl
Red Hood is my 2nd favorite antihero in fiction (below the Punisher) & I'm just as stupefied that he's barely gotten in the spotlight. I'm glad he's getting some more traction in comics at least (appearing in The Boy Wonder, having his own webtoons comic, & a sorta solo comic Red Hood: The Hill).
We deserve a great Red Hood game, and I'm sick of these hack writers not giving Jason his flowers.
Why can't they let my boi have his time in the spotlight? The fact they respect Harley f*ckin' Quinn more than the man they resurrected from the grave and made into a Punisher esque red bowled badass (whom they themselves voted to die!) is atrocious to say the least!
Man i know right, for comic con and halloween i made my own costume, i drew him in art, this man needs to be everywhere man hes badass
6:18 I'll nvr understand mfs that say this game has peak combat
They defo played Crash Bandicoot then said they're john wick💀
Man, I was saying that for years!!! I’m glad I’m not alone in my beliefs, thank you 😊
Anytime!
Demigah is saying what redhood fans thinking bruh
Under the red hood single handedly sparked my love for red hood in general, when he meets bruce and jason says the line "you want to rule them by fear? Well what do you do with the ones who arent afraid" just goes to completely solidify his character
i hope that red hood gonna be the main character in the next injustice game
Me too, but it probably won’t happen
He doesn't really have any story significance though, he just speaks super coldly to Superman in their intros
i never grew up with red hood but he has such a good story that warner bros could explore but chose not to and he deserves justice
No one ever puts enough love or respect on Jason. This video was perfect. Love you, nigga.
we need a red hood comic run like the ultimate spider-man comic run rn
4:50 That helmet looks like an unused deathstroke helmet painted red and repurposed for Red hood
Red Hood just got that AURA!!!
“red hood is the realest
nouga in all of DC”
The subtitles. 😂
But aye, I agree. Jason Todd deserves SO MUCH better than what we’ve gotten of him recently that hasn’t done him a SMIDGEN of Justice.
3:09 got toss more than a batarangue is my favourite joke from now on ksksksksksk
Use it however you wish 😂
@@Demigah KAKAKAKAKKA YES
"Redhood and the Outlaws" is one of the greatest comics I ever read.
Jason todd is the bat family’s most badass and interesting member besides batman and batman beyond and even then as a standalone character separate from the family red hood is just incredible and badass
EXACTLY
@@altalia07 he is frankly one of the best written characters his stories character arc and progression is great
And problem not even in Harley, they just want to parade her as "new" sexuality swap LGBT icon, to show off how queer DC now.
He’d injure his own kids before he kills the Joker. It’s ridiculous
@@Demigah Damian receives bigger ass whopping for being an edgy teen than Batman's villains on the daily 😂
I hate this dumbass mentality you guys got because of red hood and just don't understand his character at all, red hood killing people wouldn't end crime at all, and in fact it's been proven time and time again that killing any of these villains have made things worse every single time they have died. Or do you not understand that?
Fun fact : Jason Todd x Rose Wilson has never failed.
My #1 favorite DC character
Mine too! Could ya guess? 😂
The bat family always been the best thing of DC
That’s what I like to hear
Nightwing fan boys are trying to argue that task force Z fight between red Hood and the bat family. Saying how the bad family was holding back and he wasn’t. Bro they got clapped and his only competition is Batman
@@stimswwolf7867The whole Batfamily was holding back heavily. Jason Todd has never beaten Nightwing in a fight, he'd never stand a chance against Cass, Batman has wrecked him in pretty much every single encounter they've had, and Damian one shotted him in Batman #137. Heck, even Tim fought on par with Jason in New 52.
Red Hood has gotten his nights knocked out by the likes of Punchline, Joker's Daughter, and Catwoman. The whole Batfamily wrecks his ass.
4:51 yea i thought the exact same thing, i watched the first three episodes of this show and js said "hell no" but when I heard bout red hood, i watched all his scenes that were on yt and COULD NOT get over how offly big the helmet looked
It’s chunky. Clunky, even
@@Demigah both tbh im surprised he didn't lose balance in any of the fights but then again that actor wtv his name is has experience w managing that helicopter landing pad he has
I mean... I don't hate Titans... but I will admit that Red Hood was way inaccurate!!!!
Noticed how Redhood has never died once in a comic run or show? Yeah, He’s literally him
4:33 the way you said it 😆
If we look at jason from the start, it is a wonder, that he beacme a good character. The titans tv show in season 1 had lowkey the best portray of him as robin.
Thats not good, but its the best we have ever gotten.
Jason Todd is Batmans greatest failure
That's why i wish they would've made a live action movie about it by this point. It's a huge moment in his career and history.
Batman Under the Red Hood was the first movie I've ever seen at the age of 4... it's still just as captivating- in fact MORE captivating and beautiful as time passes. *Fucking masterpiece.*
Red hood is the goat no matter what
I been saying!
If they are a compelling character that can move the brand forward in a positive light DC hates them and will bury them
I want a Batman Arkham style game with just Jason Todd. Jason deserves way more love and respect than he currently gets at DC.
MAAAN, ever since highschool I wanted, no, FANTASIZED about Red Hood and the Outlaws Series, I even had a damn intro song that was perfect for the road trips but DC keeps putting mah boi Jason in back seat of the bandwagon 😭😭😭
1:47 🗣🔥
I could just imagine having a red hood game.
Something like "Arkham runs red" or something where you play as red hood and can be the ruthless anti-hero and execute criminals or go non-lethal wihh added difficultly but a different ending. The more lethal you are the more hostile police are or something like that.
Arkham Runs Red goes hard
@@Demigahfrrr that's sick
W Concept of a RH Game, Gives me Web of shadow vibes
DC also hate nightwing,
Terry McGinnis, Tim drake and thomas wayne and ruin them in favor of other member of batfamily like Damian and harley quinn!
I can not describe how furious I was when they did my boy nightwing dirty in harley quinn show
Level of disrespect in that show was crazy
From him being found naked, killing the man that caused his trauma, to not letting him be loved, or find it
DC hates red hood. Because he’s FUCKING RIGHT!!!
At one point a group of friends and I all agreed upon this. We were working up a whole mini-film project, and they all bailed because they thought arkham knights was going to do him justice. MY FAVORITE CHARACTER HAS BEEN TARNISHED!
the few people who get angry do to what demi said in the beginning. Me " why you booing him. HE RIGHT!! "
Thank you 😂
I personally never liked Jason being brought back for a lot of reasons:
- it completely destroys the importance of "A Death in the Family" and "A Lonely Place of Dying" and brushes off all the character development that Batman had in those comics
- it was specifically against what Dennis O'Neil (a.k.a. the greatest editor and possibly writer Batman's comics ever had) wanted, until he remained the editor of Batman in 2000 he always backed against people at DC that wanted to bring back Jason
- it doesn't make sense the fact that he calls himself Red Hood, yeah i know that in Killing Joke (and to be honest even in the Golden Age) it was established that Red Hood was Joker's original identity so from a metacomic point of view makes a connection between Jason and Joker that killed him but it has no in-universe reason and the point of the Killing Joke was that Joker doesn't actually remember his past life so the story about the comedian who lost his pregnant wife could be just one of the possible Joker's origins (and it's better that way since Joker functions better when you DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING about him)
- it is blatantly clear that people at DC wanted so much to bring Jason back but didn't think of what to do exactly with the character AFTER his resurrection and this led to all these various problems and different directions
- what's the point of Red Hood? Being an edgy Batman that kills people? Oh wait now that i think about it he can't even do that because Batman's rogues gallery is so much important than him so he can't kill Joker or Two-Face or Penguin and even if he could kill one of them he/she will be brought back to life sooner or later like Jason himself...he himself is the manifestation that all he will do to kill these villains is pointless because if Jason could be brought back to life even Black Mask or Professor Pyg could
- his narrative arc is the discount version of Azrael's evolution, they both are meant as a version of Batman that is willing to kill, motivated by a cause that has a deep connection with their past, born as normal kids that got into this superhero stuff by a traumatic event and that will understand that their way is not the right path to follow, the main difference is that Azrael had the best event Batman has ever got to develop as a full fledged character (plus a good miniseries) while Red Hood circled around like a freaking vulture over and over the fact that killing was bad and finally got the memo in a Chip Zdarsky's comic just to be brought back by Rosenberg's awful task force z
- Why Batman doesn't put him in jail? He killed a lot of gangsters, shot Penguin in the face (but the ol good Oz survived because as i said he is so much more important than Jason) and tried to kill Joker countless times...he should be locked up in Blackgate but no, apparently since he is a member of the Batfamily he has a free jail card always in his pocket
Red Hood is just an edgy antihero that people like for his cool design and that's it
GAD DAMN
My dream red hood game is just the same gameplay from arkham knight, maybe with new gadgets like his rifle he used in his boss fight
Story is amanda gets his help to take down the ss after they go rogue, shes paranoid about task force x being compromised and decommissioned and her job being lost since the government wont view her as capable to run it, maybe gizmo finds a way to turn off the bombs for the squad, and she also hires Deathstroke to help and he gets to be a playable character where they expand on his gameplay from Arkham Origins, maybe the same way they did catwoman and batman in City where you switch as them, but still have missions like Panessa studios in knight where you call on the other character for stealth takedowns and allat. Enemies would be goons the squad hired after splitting up, maybe some of harley's old crew as well. Deadshot also breaks out the militia from gotham and has them under his command too. Side missions could be some of batman's old roster we seen already too, but this time Jason wont let them get a second chance... Obviously
Man, you're so funny. Red Hood is mad under appreciated
Under the Red Hood is iconic, it's what really got me into DC and specifically Red Hood.
DC doesn’t like the bat family. only batman himself. and GAH DAYUM it’s tragic
Seems like sometimes they dont even like Batman with the way they treat him and make him act
Last hope we have left for red hood is how they gonna handle him in the DCAU coming soon
Red Hood is my favourite character since i learned about him.
