Hey man I think you let your emotions get the better of you. You're kinda way off base on dunking Balantro. I think it's great an obscure game gets a chance to have the spotlight, who knows maybe the game actually deserves the nomination. As well all know there are a lot of games that are boring to watch but fun to play. If we went on what sold the most then we'd be getting Sports Titles like Fifa and Madden along with CoD rounding out Goty every year. As for Most anticipated, that's been a category since 2014 and Witcher 3 won that. This year and last year was a mix of really good and really bad games. There were a lot of good games out this year though they were from smaller studios and indie devs so it's probably why you're not as aware. I do agree though Dlc shouldn't be nominated for Goty. Unfortunately most of the votes counted aren't from people it's from a panel made up of various different industry people. So even if say everybody went online voted for Astro Bot or Balantro they only get 10% of the vote. That said TGA is mainly an industry circlejerk and the only thing worth watching is the trailers and the unanticipated mishaps that happen with every award show.
