Same here, I wish they made the same power, the m235i is close though.
My n55 on stock turbo fbo meth injection custom tune hpfp tu makes 330wkw 710nm runs very well with a stock turbo n54 with the same mods
Pretty good for JB4, a custom flash with mhd or bm3 would yield higher results though, 390whp+ has been seen from fbo stock turbo cars on 93. Great cars.
You’re right, I’m tempted to get bm3, but my focus is on my E36 LS Turbo at the moment. I’m happy with where this is at. This Dyno also isn’t very generous either.

I’m probably not gonna put a big turbo on it. I like how balanced it is for the track. I have my Turbo LS e36 to make the big power on.
The change the name from low boost to high boost
i would be plenty happy with 375 93 octane.. im wondering what the stock turbos sweet spot is.. seems its losing efficiency after 370hp or so
seansurfn2 I think it’s over 400whp/460wtq on map 7 if I have 100 octane. The car seems faster. But I think you’re right. Over that there’s not much more room.
@@LowBoostFilms thanks for the response.. i just started modding mine.. m235i with stage 1 mhd and downpipe.. cars already amazing.. intake on charge pipes and intercooler and stage 2 mhd next month but im likely gonna bump up to an m240i by next year after i finish this house (home flip)

NeilPuzon the m235i record for stock internals I think is 682whp, which is a big jump!
It will break 11 seconds , pure stg2 on 93 gets real close to 11, add e30 it should do it.
I’m on F21 m135i pure stg2 & stg2 hpfp gonna get e50 tune this month so will update 93 time v e50 to compare 👍

So would these tunes be considered safe tunes for keeping reliability?
JB4 tunes have been proven to be very reliable. Map 6 which is more custom, i made. I sent logs to burger and they looked good. I wound recommend setting your one boost targets until you are very familiar with the JB4 logs.

@@AH-jv5zt never did a dragy, ran a 12.7@113mph on e30 (the 387whp run) On 19.5psi and race gas (which we didn’t have for the video) I hung doors with my buddies stock f80, which trapped 117.

are there any mods needed for ethanol? or just mix e85 w 93 50/50?
You’ll want an upgraded HPFP to run over an e30 thanks mix. But you’ll want to use an ethanol calculator to figure out the mix in your car. You only need a few gallons of e85 to get there. 11 of 93, 2 of e85 for example. But it also depends on the content of the gas in the car currently. And of the pump e85 content!

I don’t remember the plug gap, but I ran the original ones for a year and switched to 328i plugs they’re one step colder

8-10psi is stock
How come you didnt do MHD tune or bm3 isnt that better?
They are, I probably could have made 10-15 more whp. When I got the car, bm3 and mhd weren’t available yet. I was so used to the JB4, I learned how to tune on it (in a sense) and it works great, so I kept it.
so I'm looking at the m235i how much have you put into it to get it to this point minus the cost of the car

Roberto Caban Believe it or not straight pipes don’t actually add a lot of power. Removing the catalytic converter does which it is removed here.
@@LowBoostFilmsnice car , I currently have the f series 435i. I'm FBO and just did my first E30 mix tune with MHD tuning. I love it feels like the car runs smoothest then just on my 93 stage 2 map. Cooler as well but I'd thought you'd get a lot more whp with e30 then just 10- 15 gain more like 40- 50.
Roberto Caban I think you can get more with the e30 with mhd than I did with JB4. I made what I thought I would on e30, I just made more than I thought I would on 93 lol.

I think 425whp is the most they’ll do stock turbo.

Why not 18 psi?
18psi on e30 with the stock hpfp would be pushing the limits of my fuel system. I’d run 18.5-19 on race gas, and that was fine though. Ethanol just puts more stress on the pump you need 30% more of it
B58 tu comming soon?
I have a 540i now that has the B58 in it. Not the TU but it’s tuned and faster than this was lol, and it’s the new family car haha.

Seems high to me based on dyno dynamics figures I suspect that is the calculated flywheel but very stout figures still and DD dynos are heartbreakers compared to dynojet where typically you would see those kind of figures at the wheels.
Based off of my trap speed and weight it’s pretty close. We’ve put many cars on this dyno and we’ve always seen them lower than other dynos so I was impressed by those numbers.
@@LowBoostFilms Yeah you will see Dyno Dynamics consistently lower than either mustang or dynojet dynos (Which I understand are more common in the US) your 384hp run (if it is at the wheels)would be 461atw or 530atf on a dynojet ! Do you think that sounds correct?
maddogdragracing We’ve done tests on that Dyno of the same car same tune compared to a Dyno jet. So it’s not estimating what would be and whatnot. The Dyno jet readings were 575whp and this Dyno was 525whp. There are m235i that are making 425whp on a dynojet. So I’m happy with 387whp. Based on the cars I’ve ran and their mods, people think it’s prob closer to 400whp. So it seems close to me.
