I've had my m235i for 6 years now, put a charge pipe, sports cat and a tune on it, it's now giving 412 bhp that's a good power to weight ratio and it still is a fabulous daily driver and a rocket ship on a weekend, don't think I'll ever get rid of it.
@@osaedjan5442 the only thing to fail was an injector but the local shell garage had closed for refurbishment and I used supermarket fuel for 3 weeks, NEVER use supermarket fuel in performance cars, apart from that it's just been tyres and pads. Best car I've ever owned.

I love your videos on the M235i. I've owned a M240i (Dinan Stage 1, CAI and MP) for about 4.5 years, and I'm never getting rid of it; absolutely adore it. Your video on the Dinan springs/bump stops makes me want to get them! The understeer in the car, to me, is one of its only Achille's heels. Still on the fence about them, since I live in New England, though - lots of potholes around here. Thanks for all of the great, informative, opinions and advice :)
I think what I should’ve done was gotten sway bars instead of the springs. That would help with the understeer more especially if I got adjustable ones

@@LowBoostFilms My E90 335i had exactly that-an oil temp gauge in the bottom right of the gauge cluster. When I upgraded to my F22 M235i, everything got sportier, but they took out the thing you need to monitor when you’re getting sporty… Another thing I don’t like is the Dakota leather. It feels cheap and fake. It’s not soft at all. My E90 (LCI N55) had the Saddle Brown leather and it’s the main thing I miss about that car. I loved that leather. I wouldn’t have traded it for Lavalina.
Low Boost Films I won’t track it due to the possibility of oil starvation, which isnt super common, but I can’t afford a new engine if I was unlucky lol. However I’ve autocrossed the crap out of the car and it has never rubbed at an event. It grazes the fender on large bumps, and rubs the rear of the fender liner (only in reverse which is strange). Both spots are extremely minimal and have never been an issue. 245/40r18 on 18x8 +35
If they rub a little on the road, at the track under higher speeds they will a lot. That’s why I kept a 235. Didn’t have any oil starvation probs though
Low Boost Films possible I suppose. I figured it’d be a issue at autox originally but that was not the case. Had a shop check it out and he said it would never be a real issue. If the wheels are turned in the slightest it clears the fender completely. Straight line and full compression is the only way it rubs
What you said that in America parts are very expensive for BMW that thing is same with corvette in Europe. Because they import those parts. Whatever except that I agree with everything. It was a very good video thank you !!!
Not all the parts are expensive. My charge pipe, FMIC, Tune, Intake and Downpipe combined cost 1/3 what the kw club sport coil overs I want for it. But yea Chevy stuff is all cheap here.
I have a m235i but it is auto and has xdrive. I use the bootmod3 stage 2 e30 tune and ran a 11.9 at track in like 66 degree weather. It is amazing how much of a difference the auto and all wheel drive make.
Hi, I’ve watched all your videos. These r amazing and helpful. I’m currently having a m235i, and I’m considering to put dinan springs and m control arms on it. I’m having stock wheels and aftermarket spacers. What size of front tire do u suggest to have that won’t hit my fender on the track?
I would pass on the m control arms unless you also get tension struts to even it out. That’s how i hit my fender. You can go 235 in front and 255 in rear with no problems. But it all depends on the offset of your wheels, on the stock wheels, I had 235 no problems.
Qice Sun I don’t plan on it. I actually am selling it, but as long as it isn’t crazy expensive it could be worth it. Must adjust the dampening somehow.
I’m thinking of getting this car, I’ve driven it and love it but do you think it’s worth it? 2014, 100k miles for $18k. Downpipe , intake and bootmod tune.

I've been between this one and the M2 for a while... it will be my only car due to garage space, my main thing is the ride quality... is the ride quality realy much better on the 235i?
At the time that I bought this, they were selling the M2 for $25,000 over sticker so it was over three times what I paid for this. Maybe now it is worth it.
@@LowBoostFilms Yes I was referring to today's market. Debating on m235i but coming from a mustang 5.0 performance pack, your cons list is same for me. All the used m cars seem like a better buy and just leave it mostly stock.

I remember when these first came out and I test drove one. I also noticed the understeer. My f30 335 xdrive doesn't understeer like the M235 did.
I think maybe because it doesn’t have very wide tires up front. Definitely have to throttle steer a little

How would you compare the driving experience on this car to the E46 M3? Would it be a worthy replacement?
Power delivery is much different. But the size is very similar. Definitely a worthy replacement
How would you rate the turbo lag on this car? Do you feel like wait for the torque to kick in or is it responsive? And does sport mode reduce the lag?
There is almost no turbo lag unless you are in the wrong gear

I have a link to it on one of my videos to it on Amazon. I think an icon Motorsport?
which one do you think is overall better/reliable 435i or m235i ?
Both so similar. Depends on your taste, the 435 is bigger and has more room. But heavier, slower and doesn’t handle was well.
