M240i looks better than m2
The cost difference between the two could not be explained with the performance results!
Agree.
Performance is more than these little straight line races.
@@nighthawk0077True, time attack on a short track makes more sense. But just perfomance wise, it does prove a point.
Yeah you can compare the depreciation in a couple of years and think about that comment again;)
Especially, if you get a manual gear box for the M2, they will hold their value very well for sure.
@@mkm6073So you buy a car planning to sell it?
Race starts at 2:40
Much appreciated!🤙👍
How appropriate :)
Thanks.
Mite as well save some money and buy the m240i do to it being so close to the m2 and actually able to put that power to the ground. Both great cars!
I used to own a 2018 M240i. My favorite car ever ❤ Super nimble on the road and very peppy! I now have a 2022 M440i that’s pretty sweet too. I prefer them more than the full M cars.
I own M240i 2023 and agree wholeheartedly.
@@yujie1973 Sweet!! That’s what I was looking for originally, but couldn’t find the color combo that I wanted. What color combo did you get?
@@Spud_E_Buddy i got alpine white exterior and red leather interior. My wife loves the white color so I went for it. But truthfully, i think darker colors look better on this car. I might later wrap the car with frozen black color.
@@yujie1973 Awesome! That’s what I had for my 2018 model. I miss that car, lol
That's super awesome that we have the same color combination. The rear end of this 240i grows on me a lot since i purchased the car this Jan. I think it looks very sporty overall with the updated interior design, man. it's good life, lol.
I actually like the 240i better than the m2
That B58 sounds awesome 👍
As awesome as even BMW M1.
Not in stock form.
@@lloyd.8272 It wouldn't matter, the m240i is much faster than the m2 off the line even when stock
@@ToneysReviews it probably faster than most Rwd cars off the line. Still wouldn’t wouldn’t make me buy a 4wd auto.
Personally like my sports cars lightweight rwd and manual.
Please keep on with the back to back drag races
Agree. Next hopefully we could have:
Daishin Silvia vs Ogura Rotary Racing RX-7 GT300 vs TVR Griffith 500 vs Ford Shelby Mustang 1968.
The best looking M2 they have ever made by a long shot! 💯
There was once a time i understood bmws model hierarchy, with 1,3, and 5 designations and m versions. "2 series" are absolutely enormous. Not too long ago the 5 series was this size. I love when cars get bigger, heavier, and fitted with smaller engines. They do still look good tho.
12 second drag race takes 35 seconds in this video 😂
I’ve been waiting for this drag race! Does this mean the m240i could take on an XM?
You're right. Just proves once again how much of a non M car the XM is.
From Motorsport to Markeging!
I actually did a rolling race in my F22 M240i with an XM and it was quite impressive. I would pull away at the start, but as it picked up speed, it would come past me. Keep in mind this was a stock 240i so I’m pushing around 340hp…
The XM is for the rich man's wife.. and im sure rappers like it too
The XM Label Red is quicker than M3
@@hassanger8128 Only in a straight line. As soon as a corner comes up the M3 will humiliate the XM.
Both really powerful and nice cars I hope to see a Ferrari sf90 straddle vs koenegsegg from you 😂😂🎉🎉
This is an unfair test by not using a completely stock m240i. With those mods it’s pushing over 400hp. It’s a pointless drag race if both cars are not completely stock.
Not just the performance..it's about being in the M-car club. I own a 2023 RS5, that's definitely a brotherhood. We always flash lights or thumbs up when we see another RS out in the wild.
Please can you do a drag race btw the GT63SE performance vs M5CS
No need m5 cs wins
Gt63se just eat dust
Would be cool to see a 4 car race between the f chassis and g chassis of both of theses cars. F87 comp of course
Well thats fit in the best.
G chassis will destroy F chassis. Not even a fair comparison.
@@yujie1973 of course not
Pound for pound that m240i is sexier and a bargain for the price compared to the M2 based on what you get
Pretty cool design the new 2 series, love it
That was great! M240 plus a piggy back tune for the win there for sure!
Hey Matt, love your stuff. Could you please, if possible, estimate the number of metres when you make an emergency stop? I'd find that extremely interesting as well
Why does the m240i look better than the m2😢
Because it’s not stock either externally or mechanically pop
The previous 2 series looked like a cute economy version of the 3 series this new one looks more like an actual sports car. Definitely better than the last one
That M240i🔥 damn sure looks sexier than the M2
Still very close. I truly love that 240
Matt cheating is horrible 😂😂😂
They really should have offered the M2 in xDrive, it’s really hard to beat an M240i xDrive for value!
I have a m340 and i love the width and extra stock power etc. however i price itself from m340 to m3 just doesn't justify it as much for me (IMO)
The B58 in the M240i is a masterpiece!
Lovely! The DCE Parts Downpipe with Milltek Catback Exhaust just sounds incredible!
This was, by FAR, the best episode on CARWOW…. Loved this… great RACE!!!!!
For me one of the most boring. Two BMWs, this video only shows how BMW prices are idiotic...
I have a JB4 with a custom tune on my Supra and the difference is drastic. It’s neat to see the difference on and off against a benchmark
I don't like the new shape of the 2 series, but the M240i looks hard
the zf8 in both of these cars do have clutches in them that engage the gears
You can do a stage 2 tune with Lichfield which will give you same power for around £2500 that also includes exhaust as well.
I think they are quoting around 450hp on stage 2.
2023 m240i x drive is gonna be my next beast. With 15k in mods. I see 0 to 60 less than 3 seconds.
240I is a steal 😂, I think we all can agree!
