    it's not Crank Angle...those were all versions of camshaft sensors...the two on either exhaust cam are EXHAUST VALVE TIMING CONTROL POSITION SENSORS....aka Exhaust Cam position sensors

    i have a non rev up 03 model Z, had p0345, replaced it, cleared the engine codes but it keeps throwing the code. Any idea why? All the problems (stalling, dying, running bad) went away so i assume that fixed it, an no other codes, dont get it...

    Very informative video, thank you. Will there be a follow up video?

      Not at this point, head gasket repair is very expensive for a 350z.....

      Mohr Garage btw, did you end up purchasing the Z off your friend? Yeah, I hear you on the head gasket. I fear that’s what’s currently wrong with my Z

    • @MohrGarage

      No, because of the head gasket decided it's probably best to find another car.

    That third piece sensor you mentioned around 12:40, saying you couldn't find out what it was for is likely the crankshaft position sensor that goes in near the transmission/flywheel underneath the vehicle.

    will replacing these sensors also fix the p1084 code? my reader says exhaust valve timing circuit bank 2

    • @MohrGarage

      Replacing all 4 sensors will, which is what I recommend.

    hello , I have a 2006 Nissan 350Z . my RPM are above 1100 at all times, today starting to idle funny and turn off. do you think changing this sensor will fix this issue ? regards.

    • @MohrGarage
      @MohrGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have the check engine lights use a code reader to see what the issue is. I would only recommend changing these sensors if you are getting the codes.

      Yes, change the sensors. Find a kit to change all 4.

    I dont know if any of you guys have had the same problem I have but bank 2 and the crankshaft position sensor (the one at the bottom of the car) were both bad, because of this when I was racing my buddy in his cobra my car would I guess you could say hesitate/kind of stalls and backfired around 5-6k rpm, its really weird, let me know if any of you guys experienced this (also the backfiring sounded so good, it would pop and crackle which sounded godly, I only have megan racing test pipes and a muffler delete)

    Third one goes under the car.

  • @mr.williams6069
    @mr.williams6069 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The one you didn't use is the "Crankshaft" sensor. The other two are Camshaft sensors. The Crankshaft sensor is under the car... at least it is on a maxima.

    • @MohrGarage

      I replaced 4 sensors in total. Two are called the cam angle sensors two are called the crank angle sensors.

    Same boat as you man unfortunately 2003 129k miles, all the codes, and possibly and more than likely a blown head gasket, I don't know what to do with it honestly because I wouldn't get much for it, any advice?

    • @MohrGarage
      @MohrGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what's legal where you are.....if it's an option I would swap the engine. A lot of resources exist to put in an LS motor.

      @@MohrGarage so I literally just replaced all 3 sensors, I had the code p0345, how long did you give it for the code to go away? I erased it on my reader but it comes back after it starts

    Had this issue , I was getting code PO35 , changed both sides and now I’m getting codes for both sides.
    Also noticed the car is taking longer to crank, but it hasn’t been dying since I’ve changed it

    • @MohrGarage
      @MohrGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I can only recommend changing all 4 sensors at once.

    I have an 06 RevUp manual and I’ve been told this car has 4 camshaft position sensors, is this true? Or are people confusing the other 2 sensors with the crankshaft sensors?

    • @MohrGarage
      @MohrGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe they are confusing the crank and cam sensors. I don't blame them if you have looked online for this problem the information is very confusing. Even the dealer could not figure out the issue. Whether they are cam or crank sensors, there are four timing sensors, change them all...

      That car was my friend's and I fixed it for him to sell....I dont have access to another 350. Im sorry. However, both sensors are on the back of the engine against the firewall. There is a black plug and a green plug on both sides. If you have already found three of the four you should be able to find the last one.

    Thank you for the video! Quick suggestion, the bobbing and shaking of the camera is exhausting. For future videos, please use a simple 30$ camera tripod soasto not to get your audience sick. Also, tons of excessive, non-related chatter, but thanks again for the info!
