    Thank you very much for the clarity of your information in the video, I had many days of searching the internet, but the demos I found did not explain clearly and confused camshaft P0340 bank 1 with P0345 bank 2. God bless you for your time.

    Im getting that code now but car runs fine! 🤔 When starting from cold, the rev needle will bounce just slightly for a few seconds but then the car settles drives fine. Oil level looks good according to the dipstick. Could it still be just a faulty sensor? Im driving a 2004 Nissan Almera (N16)

      If you have the code then you need the sensor and don't listen to this guy saying use cheap amazon junk, only use NISSAN parts otherwise you'll be replacing the sensor again in no time at all.

      @@duffysautoservice9015 luckily enough it was the sensor! Everything absolutely great now. An £80 fix as opposed to £1000! 😯👍🏼

      I would test the cam sensor and wiring it's the only way to know what is going on.

    Shouldn't a P0340 code keep the engine from getting spark?

    • @HVAC_Mechanic
      @HVAC_Mechanic  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It can cause no spark, and sometimes it can work and then stop, then work again; it varies.

      @@HVAC_Mechanic I cleared the P0340 and P0115 codes as I have no coolant in the vehicle. After the next crank I had a 1320, I cleared it too. Now I have no codes, but my engine light stays on in accessory mode. Is that normal? I have a 1995 Maxima. Thanks.

    Can that code be cause by a bad catalic?

      Also with my encounters please check your oil level before attempting any sensor changes even if the code requires it. If the oil level is low it with throw all the codes. Now my car runs great with just making sure oil levels are maintained

    What would make it happen then go away? Each car is different and when I search for 01 Nissan Frontier that's the only car I want to hear about, not some generic all cars all engine stuff. Waste my time!

    Your video was very good until the end where you showed all the cheap junk offered on Amazon. You should have said "only use NISSAN parts", Nissan parts are not cheap for a reason, "cheap isn't good and good isn't cheap". A Nissan cam sensor is anywhere from $140 on up, and the reason they are expensive is because the car needs NISSAN parts, not Amazon junk.

    • @fattireale75

      that said, my titan only has 32000 miles and i'm already getting a P0340 code. Factory installed unit; but maybe they didn't use OEM during production.

      as long as it’s hitachi brand the sensor will be fine nissan used hitachi from factory. he did show some hitchi brands but i do agree with your, i wouldn’t even risk it and just go with one straight from the dealer.

      You do realise that a lot of these engines are in multiple cars, the 1.5 dci is in a number of manufacturers vehicles and in a load of different models also, plus the parts that nissan sells for 140 dollars are usually manufactured by Lucas or Bosch or any other number of reputable companies and they sell them for a lot less exactly the same part with the same part number, just in a different box, I am not saying amazon is the place to buy but just because it doesn't say nissan doesn't mean it's an inferior part.
