Comparing Vanguard to this,I'm impressed how much the animations improved on Sledgehammer's part, though their sounds could use some work.

I love how they used the exact same sounds from ww2 in vanguard, pulling back the bolt on a kar and the different mag release/insertion sounds. Literally identical, hopefully just for the alpha though.
They’re most likely placeholders until the game comes out,but only time will tell
I’m from the future, and they’re still using it.
Plus it makes no sense to have record different mag sounds. Most people would never tell the difference
I wouldn't be surprised if they reused a bunch of assets from CODWW2 in Vanguard.
there is a sound bug in ww2 for the snipers and its in vanguard too
I definitely like this games animations over Cold War’s, even with all of the inaccuracies.
Leave it to call of duty. Choose between a steaming pile of garbage and a dumpster fire. We all say "omg this one sucked this year the animations are awful" ect, until they make the next one that somehow stoops even lower than the last.
Modern Warfare’s an exception, the *only* exception
but the sounds here aren't that better
I’d rather have Cold War animations. For example, the C58 is one of the best besides the XM4.
@@Yawnford the reloading sounds a bit crunchy
Most sniper rifles in the game actually sound fairly decent! Now, if only all guns in the game sounded like that...
Their echoes suck though.
@@shdhdhejeheheh4126 Yep.
Models: Looks good technically, but most of them have inaccuracies of some sort
Animations: probably the best aspect
Sounds: easily the worst aspect. The guns sound like rattling cans when handled/reloaded and let's not even talk about the firing sounds. Are they afraid or incapable of making punchy, somewhat realistic and unmuffled gun sounds or some shit?
Can't say I agree on the sound aspect. While shotguns do sound quite weak, the sound design fits well for other guns, especially full-auto ones. It gives character to the weapon based on their stats: low-powered, high RoF guns sound like a swarm of angry wasps, while something like VGM 1927 has a lot more punch at the expense of fire rate.
And the interaction/reload sounds might give off a semblance of tin rattling, but so what? It's pleasing to the ear, while still being metallic enough to feel like a gun.
@@guardian-angel615 Fair enough, but what you personally consider to be pleasing to your ears certainly doesn't please mine.
The revolver animation is the thing that they can do which Treyarch doesn’t.
is it me or does the reload sound like legos
sounds criticism gets old
There is actually a hidden weapon, it’s the fliegerfaust, you can only get it out of the mystery box in zombies, I’ve only gotten it on the Final Reich map
Ah yes, CoD WW2, Sledgehammer's failed response to DICE's BF1.
Ironically the Schälldampfer Karabiner is the fastest bolt action rifle in-game despite the awkward placed bolt.
@@FerrariF1Seb05Fan What do you expect from CoD games?
@@Hopy Stinky fantASSy guns.
It’s not exactly a failed response based on the fact that cod ww2 massively outsold bf1

while the mp didn't go too well, the campaign really rocked.
Finally, I've been waiting SO LONG for this. Thank youuuuuu 🙏🙏🙏
Fun fact. The grease gun is still in service for the US army. They’re too cheap tp upgrade to MP5 or MP7. It was only recently in 2019 that the Army purchased the APC9K, but It was only given to special duty MPs, and there are only 350 of them
Why would they put the grease gun in service when they would have plenty of Thompson’s
@@wealthytate7908 The thompson weighs a fuck ton and they are incredibly antiquated and expensive
Sub machine guns are essentially useless in modern combat
@@wealthytate7908 The soldiers did like the gun. But the Thompson was heavy, expensive, and time-consuming to produce. The Grease Gun was more controllable, cheaper, saved ammo, and was easier to produce/maintain.
@@Reimastered How bout they use the Mac10
CoD couldn't stop being CoD for at least a single second when they made the blunderbuss reload animation. Then again, they put a bunch of stupid and anachronistic accessories in the multiplayer weapons, so what did I expect, really.
I'll give Sledgehammer credit for including an interesting variety of weapons, but in inaccuracies of so many of them makes me cringe.
The 3-line is like the only one with the right tactical reload
But then you see the empty reload and go "why still do it individual bullet"
16:01 yeah even the small rounds for the ptrs41
Hope se soon a video with all the weapons variants, will be great!
I just reinstalled this game after years and was extremely disappointed to find that even in local lobbies some guns were locked.
People tend to call a game "underrated" after a couple of years. For me CoD:WWII is still terrible, doesn't matter how many years have passed. Although I can't say I didn't appreciate Sledgehammer Games supporting their title even after Black Ops 4 release. Weapon models are pretty okay and splitscreen on PS4 worked perfectly, spending hundreds of hours with my friend.
Is WWII a good game in my opinion? Nah.
Did I enjoy it? Yep! My personal guilty pleasure.
Exactly. I've seen people call Ghosts and BO4 underrated. Um, no, there's a reason they weren't popular.

This inspired me to make my own shooter idea
So far, I've only seen Two guns with Iron sights a normal person could use. The EMP-44, and the Nambu type 2. The rest of them are so open, lining up the sight post or front aperture with the center of the rear aperture looks like it would be near impossible.

You should update the MW2019 video
Hey, Tigerfield do you think you can do another video of killing floor 2 update?
Everytime using a scoped 1903 reminds me of Pvt Jackson from Saving Private Ryan
ong
Idk why, but every time I shoot these few guns, it’s my pet peeve to alway know that all of their fire rates are swapped around.
Mp40/AUSTEN has the fire rate for the M1 Thompson
M1 Thompson/WAFFE has the fire rate of the PPSH-41
PPSH-41/Type 100 has the fire rate for the Mp40
And hasn’t anyone realized the Blyskawica sounds like the M1 Thompson; and majority of the sounds for all of the guns are the same as others? Like the AUSTEN and the Sterling, and EMP44 and Blyskawica; same thing with reloading sounds with SMG’s
I love the explosive feeling of guns in this game
they sound like boxes getting beaten up
@@bottomtextgaming1864 and i like that becouse of bass. I don't like cod waw's ppsh, mp44, mp40 type of sound becouse it feels like two metal sticks hitting each other
@@4kmarvelclips454 waw's weapon sounds were recorded from real guns if i recall right
Eh they're alright but kinda lacking in the feeling of power imo
The echo of the shots are a little weak, mostly examples like BFV and BF1, (don't really wanna compare to MW2019 cause y'know that gets annoying sometimes) or uh... Post Scriptum
Something about them lacks the actual punch and bang of a real firearm, if you understand what I mean
Explosive is exactly the opposite of what I think it sounds like, some of them legitimately sounds suppressed even if they are not
I remember finding a disc of this game from 2017 in 2021
Just because a rifle is bolt action, doesn’t mean it’s a sniper rifle. While the KAR98K could be fitted with a scope and used as a sniper, it was primarily a regular battle rifle.
Even with all the rare or prototype guns, it's still more historically accurate then Vanguard. They've got lasers and F2000s in their multiplayer?!

They called it WW2 when it only represented American mostly compared to the older series which has American, British and Russians
Ngl, the grease gun sounds like legos
Also great video
The MG42 and the Stinger LMG in this game is pathetic. And dont even start with the bolt-action reload animation
• Load a single strip feed of 5 rounds into an SMLE and it turns into 10 rounds.
• An MG-42 that fires up to 1200 RPM barely breaks 600 RPM.
• And an M1 Garand has you manually push the bolt forward when it would’ve either been driven forward on its own or with a light nudge.
Ah yes
Inserting a clip vertically into a scoped rifle
Don't forget the Karabin that can detach its integral magazine.
@@rosaria8384 oh yeah, and what about the optical reflex sights that werent invented until the '70s.

You see them supposedly studying the real guns used in the war in the trailer, but they didn't record sounds for reloads from any of them. And all the firing sounds are like drum machines.

The sound design for WW2 is better than Vanguard's reused sound asset for EACH GUN
imma be real i hate vanguard as much as the next guy but WW2 easily has the worst weapon sounds in the series bar none
For a game as recent as 2017 and with as big as this franchise, the animations are terrible and there are so many animation errors and missing frames. Props at side-loading a Lee-Enfield's 10 rounds with just one 5-round clip, the comically small PTRS _Anti-Tank_ bullets, and the invisible Mas-36 bullets when reloading.
Very sloppy, even for Call of Duty.
The best things on this game is the campaign and of course some guns

@@stunfoo6507 ye
@@lestranger7440 just my opinion bro
The mosin nagant had an improved reload animation.
visuals: ok
animations: accurate for WW2 but what the hell is a BLUNDERBUSS DOING HERE
sounds: meh
historical accuracy: black ops cold war did it better
Think of it this way: COD: WW2 is meant to be a sort of "remaster" of one of the older CODs (COD 2 I think?), that it did decently in animations. In every other way though, it sacrificed its sound design and accuracy to the history of WW2. Ironically, you can debate that COD 2 was more historically accurate than this. Vanguard has a lot of eyes set on it and so far results are promising (there are some iffy bits like placeholders but do remember it's only an Alpha for now).
The rifle sounds are familiar with each other, especially the toggle action and kar98k.
Animations are mostly inaccurate (45 degree clip insertion for a Kar98k with scope lol)
Historical accuracy is as not as bad as Black Ops Cold War (East Germans with MP5 plus nonexisting holo sight, nonexisting drum mag, nonexisting plastic grip, and nonexisting laser sight lmao)
Sadly no, Black Ops Cold War Gunsmith is poorly made, recycling attachments to be used on every weapon instead of making them as unique as possible like Modern Warfare did. However, BOCW like MW also allows custom builds of variants of one weapon which is great (like the C58 becoming a PSG-1, or even a G3A3)
Can Dlc weapons be unlocked or used offline
Finally.... How long he did make these sets?
You forgot the rifle mode on the M30 Drilling
The animation is pretty decent tho
It feels heavy and seems hard to reload (on some weapon)
Where do you go to do this?
It amazes me how they didn't add the Suomi KP/-31 and LS/26
The p08 has such great ergonomy... Why does the character hold it 3 cm lower than he supose to hold?
Awesome
At least the pistols were held accurately.
Why does the Type 38 have a magazine?
Waffe 28 or MP 28 was a good weapon at the time when Thompson was the best sub
The Type 38...have a box magazine?
Everything about this game hurts me on a number of levels, and from the gameplay I’ve seen Vanguard doesn’t look to be much better except in technical and sound aspects.
sound? vanguard literally uses 80% of ww2's sohnds
@@deagle.2 the reload sounds
@@wiseguyeclipsa7591 some gun sounds too. take the 1911 and luger for example.
@@deagle.2 luger sounds different in vanguard cod ww2 sounds like pow pow
@@wiseguyeclipsa7591 yeah think i might be wrong about the luger, but for sure the 1911 uses the luger's cod ww2 sound.
Animations are cool its sound design that makes it weird its feels emptiness and plasticity
So odd to see the Ribbyroles named an smg and it having a chauchat style magazine. I guess battlefield 5 made me think of it as an assault rifle.
Well that’s not the ribbyroles, it’s the extended mag variant of the RSC SMG prototype from ww1 that fires full powered label rounds
Literally EVERY gun in this game have some inaccuracies
Would this sounds be any "better" if they were on AW2?
I enjoyed this cod a lot.
Shame i sold it.
My least favorite thing about the weapons are not the historical inaccuracies, but the noises they make. I get it, a little bit of noise is typically added to punctuate the movements. But did they really have to over exaggerate this much? It sounds like someone shaking a bag of wooden sticks and metal pipes while a child is playing with pocket change in the background.
These have to be the most historically inaccurate weapons I've seen.
Like, how can the MP28 FIRE FASTER THAN PPSH-41? And the AVS-36 fires too slow, it has a fire rate of 800 RPM.
Type 38 has magazine. That's crazy
