STG 44 has that unique sound of metals clinking onto each other. Sounds so nice to hear. Thats why its my favourite assault rifle.

The SVT reload also shows human error. You can see the soldier struggle a little bit to line up the magazine. Nice touch by the development team

Same with (kinda) the pistols lining up the magazine then putting it in. The waw pistol reloads are my favorite from any cod.

@@louievelayo4100 PTRS-41 Fires a 14.5x114 millimeter round that could destroy and cripple tanks, a Barret fires a 12.7x99 millimeter round capable of destroying light-medium armoured vehicles.
BTW 14.5x114 has enough impact to remove limbs where a barret can't.

Even weapons sound brutal in this game. Probably my favorite depiction of ww2 guns in games ever. The sound and animations are amazing to this day. The visuals are a little outdated, but no big deal. The World at War itself is one of the best ww2 shooters of all time, hands down and definitely the best in the series.
Post Scriptum has the best WW2 guns in a video game.

One of the best weapon audioworks I've experienced in a long while. All the weapons have distinct and pleasing sounds, both shooting and reloading.
Guardian-Angel I've noticed more that the pistols at least don't have different sounds, some just have a little less bass or a little more than the others, it's the same thing with the bolt action rifles and the semi auto rifles, and the sub machine guns. Although I've noticed the STG 44 does have a unique sound, most other in the game are just slight variations of every other gun sound. I don't want to bash on you here but that's just my honest opinion and observation

I remember the good old 1.1 version days of WaW, where you could still engage your bipod on the gound if you had it. The sole reason they patched it out later was that some people would use that to glich under the map & they didn't want to invest time into fixing collision, so they just removed a feature...
this game has some great sound design, both internally in the files and ingame

No red dot/holographic sights, no ding dong foregrips on everything, no grip tape...why can't they just make a WW2 game again?
There are dot sights in WOW, although they look more period-appropriate

The mosin nagant is innacurate for 2 reasons.
1. The bolt handle was straight, not turned down like it is in this game
2. You cannot close the bolt to eject the stripper clip as the clip guide is very tight and doesn't allow it to fall out. You have to pull it out manually.
It took a lot of features from the sniper variant aka PU and the m44 carbine variant with a shorter overall length

Guns in this game sound so good it doesn’t feel like you’re shooting a toy gun
i love the metallic echo sounds after firing the guns.
I've shot a model 97 in real life, and its the only pump shotgun I've been afraid of working the pump, with it still on my shoulder. That block that comes back to recock the hammer scared me to death, I could just imagine it striking me right in the eye.
Guns firing from other players sound different, I like how the MP40 sounds when someone fires it. Sounds like snapping or something
When the old game sounds and gun fire rates seem a lot more realistic than what we got in CoD WWII.

My favourite is the Thompson sound effect.
It had horrible weapon gameplay, a lot of hackers that ruined the experience, graphics a bit outdated for its time, very little variety of weapons and accessories, but there goes one of the best Call of Duty
