Using both hands to shoot a pistol is also extremely anachronistic for WWII.

Because that entire argument is completely ignored when it's convenient for people. It's Call of Duty, not Insurgency.
The playing as a German soldier with an American SMG, Japanese pistol and dressed like a Russian tank commander before dying and coming back with an entirely different loadout isn't an issue; but god forbid they do a tactical animation.
Everyone whined about realism, and then chooses to drop it whenever they feel it's not relevant to their point.

The weapon selection is not bad, I particularly like the inclusion of the Owen gun, charleton automatic rifle, and fedorov avtomat.

Fedorov avtomat with a fire rate of MG-42 ... The same is about the Sudaev avtomat. In WWII, the implementation of these two samples is much better.
By the way, I forgot to add it. About a Winchester 1897 with a long barrel from a Winchester 1887... Really? Did such a modification exist at all? Or is it a fantasy? Such a sample would fit perfectly into Resident Evil, given that one weapon there consists of parts of several samples.
I mean, I'm used to CoD Games getting their guns wrong at this point; that it amazes me how it's a deal breaker for so many players.

@ノルディック男 there is nothing in this game that is protected by copyright or trademark, even if there was, there are ways around that, for example, Luger cost nothing to use, even if it did, P08 is also perfectly acceptable, battlefield 2042 is making fantasy future guns that dont exist yet so they get naming rights there, the last CoD game I played everything had mostly the right name minus the XM177 being called a commando and the AKM being called a AK47, the names were great, just some modeling fuckups same as any other CoD

ノルディック男 you don’t need to pay anything to license the majority of these weapons. The rights to them are now owned by any modern company.
@ノルディック男 It is, if adopted by the US military it would likely gain the M5 designation as a replacement to the Colt AR-15 in its most modern configuration (M4A1) they are playing around a bit it the future, if the MCX gets adopted as an actual service rifle then that name change could actually be expected and I cant really knock em on that, Plus the Sig Saur MCX is definitely a registered trademark, trew me for a loop for a moment there, had no idea what game you were talking about, I played BF1 but the last game I actually owned was BF3 so I'm a bit behind and over barely seen anything on 2042, just the trailer, If I can keep running my BF3 or BFBC2 loadouts, I'll be happy, but no MP412-SVD or no M1911-M1Garand, if it's too many future guns and vehicles, I'll take a wait period like I did between CoD BO2-CoD WW2, I play what interest me, at least I used to back when I had a console
I like how the double-barrel here has a very similar reload animation to the double-barrel in World at War. It's... Nostalgic.
The fact that a AAA WW2 game in 2021 can get away with “klauser” and “top break” is genuinely disgusting. They may as well call stuff “Shooty Gun” and “Bang Bang” at this point.

@@kalletorkkola263 You could its just they were designed to be disposable, the charge was loaded into the launcher in the factory so all the soldier or volksturm had to do was pick it up and point it at a tank, later model launchers were designed to be reusable and looked a lot like the early Russian RPGs

I literally had to replayed panzerfaust's "reloading" animation twice, the weapon was meant as a disposable single use anti tank weapon, its impossible to reload it.
Well there are reports of German troops collecting them to be reloaded at the factories, but you are correct that is not how that works...
There were a couple variants that were reloadable but were only made in small numbers near the end of the war

The Auto 5 animation is based on an update that happened to the gun in the 50s, where it will chamber the first round you put into the tube. Its a really nice update IRL, but should not exist on the in-game gun.
Yeah, on the M1A1 it keeps the bolt pulled back so you don't need to pull it after changing mags. I'm pretty sure this is not on the M1928 version of the gun though

Because sniper rifle is simply a gameplay term, it’s not a weapon designation. In terms of gameplay the weapons function as “sniper rifles” therefore they are called sniper rifles in game.

The Combat Shotgun's the Model 1897, but the riot model just like what it was back in COD:WW2 according to a comment that I saw in another video.
Despite that inconsistency (It should've been the trench gun model), it having M680 reload anims is still rad.
What the hell are these names? Just call them after their IRL designations and titles. It's not like they're copyrighted, your audience isn't so stupid that they can't remember a simple letter/number designation like TT-33.

Mosin negant has the correct animation as you can get rid of the empty striper clip by placing the bolt in firing poison you have to remove it. By hand the gun animations are great In this game look very realistic

@@jonger2408 nope. Panzerfaust warhead had folded spring steel stabilizer which is not pictured in the animation. Panzerfaust was single use weapon.

I remember being a kid and being so disappointed that I wasn't allowed to play Call of Duty. My father used to tell me something along the lines of, "Oh, by the time you're old enough, it'll be so much better." Boy was he wrong. The past few years, with maybe the exception of MW 2019, have been a disaster
This game is great, zombies wise nah, but it’s pretty neat. Mw 2019 was graphically amazing for its time but gameplay is not nearly as good as this year.

I know this is obvious question but can anyone confirm what ammo does Marksman Rifle uses in COD Vanguard? Is it Sniper or AR ammo?
Bcoz in current Warzone, M1-Garand uses AR ammo however it is classified as Marksman Rifle (in Vanguard) while in Modern Warfare, it uses Sniper ammo.
The M1 Garand uses .30-06 which can be used by assault rifles

As a side not, the snipers, I love how when ADSing it looks like your punching yourself in the face with the bolt every time you chamber a new round XD.
I honestly liked BREN's reload animation in COD WW2 better than this one. BREN's animation in WW2 seems like the player needs more force to pull out the magazine.
But the rate of fire is way too low but atleast vanguard fix this problem
I just hope the Combat Shotgun and Thompson are viable in the game as two of my favorite weapons and they used to be my little loadout in PUBG as well.

The sounds on some the guns and reload animations is from WW2
The handguns are trying too hard to look modern, should have had a one handed stance personally.
Klauser (Luger P08) - you still need to remove the magazine by hand on empty reloads, they don't fall out by force like an M1911 would.
RATT (Tokarev TT-33) - the animation is so robotic
Machine Pistol (Mauser M712/C96 hybrid) - the fire selector is missing.
Combat Shotgun (Winchester 1897) - if this is supposed to represent the Trench Gun version, the barrel is very long and the bayonet lug is missing. And the shells don't deform upon release.
Gracey Auto (Browning Auto-5) - the bolt release is there to allow inserting of shells, especially for pre-1950s Auto-5 shotguns. Without pressing the bolt release, a shell cannot be inserted or even chambered.
MP40 - Fire rate seems too high. Though the grip is a bit likeable though.
STEN - okay, the usual jammable method of holding the magazine. Iron sight picture of the stock model is too weird.
M1928 (actually an M1A1 Thompson) - yet again a curse from COD WW2 brought to Vanguard. Should have had an actual M1928A1 Thompson to accept a drum magazine.
STG44 - the reload looks too modern, again.
ITRA Burst (Breda M1935 PG) - the rate of fire is too fast. Also the burst system works like a clock - shoot one in semi auto, you get three round bursts, etc.
Volkssturmgewehr (VG 1-5, MP507) - the model in-game is only available for semiautomatic IRL. A full auto version was supposed to exist with a foregrip, though it's still disputed (BFV has the proper full auto version). The fire selector switch is correct though, and thankfully the reload has been improved from COD WW2.
NZ41 (Charlton Automatic Rifle) - mirrored model, but okay.
AS-44 - yet another mistake from COD WW2. The AS-44 was open bolt.
BAR M1918A2 - No, the fire selector allows for full auto in slow ROF, or fuller auto in faster ROF.
Automaton (Fedorov Avtomat M1923) - unless the Soviets managed to mass produce magazines for the Fedorov, it still needs stripper clips of 6.5 Arisaka to reload the magazine.
G43 (Gewehr 43) - No, the 10 round magazine was straight, not curved.
Looks like all bolt action rifles are following the Kar98k MW2019 style of reloading. Not bad, as long as it tracks the bullets needed for the tactical reload.
Bren Gun - finally an improvement from COD WW2. Though tbh a foregrip should have been added, the way the character grips the Bren is a bit uncomfortable.
Type 11 MG - Why are the stripper clips not making any sounds when ejected? Also that "magazine" removal is too robotic.
MG42 - big W because of improvement. The ROF is correct this time. Though tbh a 100 round loose belt would have been nice as a gunsmith option.
DP27 - Rate of fire is too fast.
Panzerfaust - NO NO NO NO NO. The Panzerfaust is a one-time use launcher only. This is super cursed.
Panzerschreck (Raketenpanzerbuchse 54) - That rocket would fall off immediately upon insertion, need to connect a wire to allow the rocket to fire.
M1 Bazooka - this will fire without the wire connection, but is super anachronistic for the time period Vanguard is set in.

God so many things are wrong here. I’ll say this; I’m glad COD finally included the Owen gun but a) it fires way too slow and b) why does it use the proper iron sights of the Sten but the actual Sten gun does not?
The correct Sten sights are available in the gunsmith at a very high weapon level, which is ridiculous.

There’s a lot wrong here and it’s mostly the modern tactical speed reloading stuff, some of this stuff like the gracey autos bolt release (which I’m not entirely sure is even real) and the more modern 2 handed pistol use just cuts away from what little realism there already was in cod

Incorrect. The AS44 is the only prototype weapon here. All the rest are production weapons.(Although the Charlton Automatic rifle wasn't produced in large numbers)
