Metal is not exactly the type of music I think of as "tunes to fall asleep to", but you're not the first person I've heard doing so. During my year of mandatory military service, my lower bunk bed buddy listened to the most ear screeching, goat sacrificing death metal one can think of before sleeping. Every morning when I woke up I had to make sure he hadn't drawn pentagrams with his blood to the bottom of my top bunk. They should have included songs from Everything bleeds by crown magnetar and dehumanization protocol by extermination dismemberment.
In fairness, those editors did their homework seriously!!! Kudos.
This was impressive. Doesn't exacy line up with my preferences but overall it was a good list for once.
When i heard Svalbard i was so sure they were from Norway but i looked it up and they're actually british. It's wierd because there is islands outside of Larvik here in Norway called Svalbard
I quit Spotify, put 256GB in an iPod Classic and returned to RYM, Soulseek and Bandcamp. Found a bunch of dope 90’s/00’s melodic metalcore, hardcore and death metal recently.
Trashing Tomb Mold was soft as hell. Album’s dope.
Ive only recently discovered Nik. His metal credibility just shot through the roof for me when he confused the Beatles, U2 and Coldplay.
Good taste dude.
But doesn't know Tomb Mold, credibility gone.
Absolutely agree with Num 1 at this playlist, Sleep token is the present and the future of metal, Love 2 and Vessel ❤❤❤
Empire State Bastard is the newest helping from Mike Vennart of the criminally underrated Oceansize
Would've hoped they would have had a bit more variety. I mean it's all 2010s metalcore released in 2023, which is fine, but man there are other subgenres out there.
In Flames got my #1 artist but no top 5 songs on Spot. That whole album was amazing!
Kinda disappointed his reaction to Avatar's The Dirt I'm Buried In is not in this video, would've loved to hear what he had to say about that
Never used Spotify once, never will. Find all my music through TH-cam channels like Nik's
The bogg being on the list makes me happy
yo you’re wrong about tomb mold. they fucking slay. give them a chance
