Possibly one of the greatest takes I’ve heard about this game and it’s dlc - lost on mars had so much more potential and you can tell the vision was grander.
Just discovered this channel through the Ghost Recon video and now I'm about to binge the entire backlog, excellent writing, editing and delivery. Great job man
Too late, bought Lockheed Martin stocks, also took the joke too far and went back in time to join the military three years ago... Damn, that was a powerful incantation at the end there.
Wow the Mars one looks cool - defly great prelude to Starfield come September - thanks for this great vid I did not realize til yesterday that Far Cry 5 "Arcade" is really about map editor this is so so cool
Yeah, especially when going for new game + on infamous difficulty, the space guns make it so much easier and less stressful. Particularly the tazer spazer annihilazor, little pocket laser gun is insane and instakills almost everything
FC5 DLCS were really well done and I think they were definitely more of a passion project in my eyes. Hours of darkness was the most underwhelming out of all the DLCS as a jungle map fighting with old weapons was basically Farcry but again. The Zombie DLC was great but some maps became stale after a while. In my personal preference, Mars was the best DLC as most sci-fi Farcrys are great such as Blood Dragon, the unique enemies and guns was just perfectly done, although the map is a little barren it still holds great to the main theme. Edit: Finished the video, same takes I gave but more in depth, great video. Also I just wasted all my money on Lockheed-Martin stocks.
Hey I just bought Far cry 5 gold edition on sale for me and my father to play togheter in CO OP, can you maybe recommend what DLC and Arcade maps are best for CO OP (my father wanted to buy newest Call of duty but I explained to him that reacent titles are just a lazy cash grab ).
@@zexfafa2794 lost on mars dlc is a bit challenging, but on a lower difficulty it’s a hell of a ride and a visual spectacle as well - for the arcade maps I’d recommend playing the highest rated user generated ones, and not the ones Ubisoft made - they’re not bad, but lack some of the exciting creativity of the ones made by users.
Most of the DLCs can be made in the editor lol it's ridiculous how some editor levels can be better DLCs... FarCry,4 you could que up player made levels which made it possible to set out a campaign 1-4 missions playable in sequence. FarCry 5 arcade changed that.. uhg lol the editor is still ok though. Scripting is super fun to play around with
If you take anything away from the video, skip hours of darkness and play the latter 2 - or spend the 10 or so hours exploring the entire base game map 🤷♂️
@@lentwood funny things is that i have 400 hours between base game and arcade but i also modded the game on pc to extend the playtime but i never bothered with dlcs. I will probably try them sooner or later
I'm just getting back into starting Far Cry 5 - I had it on my xbox one, i'm a guy in my 40's who a few years wanted to get a console - my first since Intellivision in 1983 lol but seriously lol - but stopped early. Two years ago as my dad died from a stroke, I got a Ps4 with VR to help distract myself - I'm still a newbie gamer. But in April I did all of Ghost Recon Wildlands on "arcade" and I had gotten heavily into Fallout 76. I had done Far Cry 3 but couldn't bet past arrows of the demon giant at the end lol - but I loved the game mechanics of Far Cry, first person, better melee, sliding, great companion system etc - time for change. It's funny I'm at the opposite end of the arc you described for yourself in your last video about the 250 hours re: Ghost Recon, fallout 4 etc Here is a proposition - I hope you might consider it. It would be so so cool if you can do a joint livestream with Rifle Gaming channel - he's done for Fo76 what you've done for Far Cry 5. I don't know how much he's played Far Cry 5 - let's pretend not much. For like first hour, it would be like he takes you through the whole history overview of Fallout 76 and brings you up to speed on the current new season, latest DLC's - there's been a renewed interest. Meanwhile, then you take him thru the Far Cry 5 stuff, show the map editor, these new DLC's - it would be like a "summit" between two gamer channels and their respective IP's they know most about - to sorta teach one another, tour guide - like you each ask questions of one another as you go through a co-op gameplay or something! This would be interesting - there should be like more crossover stuff between channels maybe - maybe it would be cool and get lots of viewers and be helpful to noobs. Experienced gamers asking the "important" questions and getting good answers all in one live stream. Peace.
I've been dying to get that alien.DLC I don't know.I might get it tonight.I hear really good things about it.I got the zombie 1 1st just to try it.And I liked it a lot.I'm not gonna get hours of darkness.Cause everybody says the same
Lost on mars is very very good. Far Cry 5’s engine is put to great use here and the game looks stunning - would be interesting to play after helldivers
45 mins for Hours of Darkness? I beat it in 5 mins by defecting to the Viet Cong and yeeting myself off a cliff
what's really funny is that the dead living zombies maps are just arcade mode maps.. (you can open them in the arcade editor with a few tweaks)
Lost on mars should’ve been its own spinoff game like Primal and New Dawn should’ve been the 3rd DLC instead

I really enjoyed your commentary and editing, this video was well done. it's criminal you don't have way more subscribers!

Just your daily reminder that, yes, apparently Outer Worlds WAS a Starfield killer, go figure.
i played the main story 3x but never played the DLCs for more than 15 minutes.
best part is that you can use your alien guns from dlc in main game its op but needed when you want to end hardest way

Gimme the directors cut of lost on mars and I’ll swear full loyalty to Ubisoft

@lentwood thanks man God bless you.
Small creator does a damn good job. I'm not getting advice like this from Markiplier for damn sure.
is the dlc playable in 60 fps on ps5??
gotta hook it up to an 8K OLED 65" TV to do so, gotta appreciate the HDR :) (the dlc is okay)

Now you must make video on fc5s arcade and multiplayer, yes?
Bought the dlcs in 2018 but i still have to play them 😂

Hi is the fc 3 still available with the season pass in 2023?
I think you have to buy the ultimate edition? I’m not too sure myself
@@lentwood I have fc5 and I wanna buy the season pass but only if it comes with fc3 or else it's not worth it. Is there any way to find out?

When ghost recon fallen ghost video?
I will only buy lost on Mars.

Far Cry 6 dlc was way better than 5's. Seriously hated every moment of each dlc. Bad writing, bad gameplay, just plain boring.
They’re certainly not as engaging as the main game that’s for sure
