The best ones are when the actors are saying racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist etc. shit and the bystanders agree with everything they're saying so when john quinones confronts them about the awful things they said they're speechless. and they realized they said awful things on national television, and for that their faces are usually blurred
I remember that episode where a woman bought vapes for minors when she KNEW they were minors. When John Quinones confronted her, she was so speechless and just ran to her car.
Cause they need to sign releases for that program to be able to show their faces, and who in their right mind wants to show their true colors on tv

Some of this stuff is like “Yeah I’d get involved.” And some of it is just none of my business like the DNA test or the misbehaving child is not any of my business I don’t know how those are a “What would you do” situation
The misbehaving child is sort of a WWYD situation since there are plenty of people who would step in or at least try and offer comfort to the person the kid was bullying, especially if the kid is being as loud and obnoxious about it as those girls were, but yeah, the DNA test was really pushing it since that is genuinely private family stuff. And then you get into the fact that absolutely *no one* would choose to have that kind of conversation in a public setting in real life anyway. Like, I'm fairly sure pretty much any parent would just instantly shut that conversation down with some variation on "we'll discuss this at home". I think that's my main issue with WWYD; some of the concepts just really don't work once you put them into a public setting. Even the teacher hitting on the student was a little over-the-top since I doubt it would be that blatant in real life (constantly touching the student/making it clear that they're teacher and student/asking quite loudly if the student told anyone about the two of them, etc), unless the teacher happened to be incredibly stupid.
Overly Dramatic Panda There are more dumb scenarios like that. Like the mother LOUDLY pressuring her child to shoplift or a parent LOUDLY mentioning how poor they are and how they can’t afford an item the kid wants. Hell in one of those, the bystanders were even pointing out how “scammish”/“put on” the performances seemed because the acting really can be that bad.
@@rhondahoward8025 Oh I agree. Especially when the scenarios involve children - the acting in those is often just painful to watch. Personally, I think they ought to have stuck with everyday scenarios or things that are known to happen on a regular basis. They are often the most interesting ones to watch anyway.
The children ones are the ones where if I was on it, I'd probably show some form of 'distaste' towards shitty adults around them because I've been in abusive situations basically my whole life. I'm not gonna bystand and agree to have a boy possibly raped by a woman who looks cute but obviously is shitty, fuck that.
Honestly as a shy person its always my fear that something like this happens around me and I'm too shy to do anything.

I discovered this show a few months ago. I was laying in bed, about to go to sleep and it popped up in my recommended. I clicked on it, intending to just see what it was about. Then, I fell into what can only be described as the WWYD blackhole and next thing I knew it was 6am and I hadn't slept at all BUT I had watched every single fucking episode of this damn show.

I remember seeing something where an actor was pretending to be a homeless person in the winter and another actual homeless guy offered him his jacket. That hit me.
The episode of this that I always think about for some reason is about how poorly kids in foster care are treated by their foster parents. This mother continuously tells her foster son (who’s played by Caleb McLaughlin aka Lucas Sinclair from Stranger Things) that she only wants him for the money the agency gives her and treats him horribly and it makes me deeply upset every single time I see it. That’s the episode that always sticks out to me for some reason, even though I’m not quite sure if it’s the deepest one. I used to love this show was I was younger.

No, mean kids are the worst, because saying or doing anything back you're the one whose supposed to do better and they're just a child. I once had a girl run from a daycare, I ran after, when I tried to hold her still and tell her not to run outside like that, it's dangerous and we can't risk the other kids, she went for a double nip twist. I could not do anything in response despite her assaulting me.
P.S. her mom was in recovery and eventually CPS stepped in, because wtf with a 5 y/o doing that. Probably taught in defense, but an adult you basically go to school with trying to tell you running off isn't a game, isn't the time one would pull that unless bigger issues going on. And yes, people did suggest I didn't handle her right, same MF who would have asked me wtf if I didn't chase and try to get her to stop playing around.
Guess I learned a super effective defense tactic. People suck. 🙄
