People fotget tge camera quality, speakers, s-pen, battery, display, underdisplay ultrasonic fingerptint scanner, sd865+, or exynos 990,still a power house, productivity, charging speeds, and more. But people hate the note 20 cz of build quality only. Now i agree on this. Also i agree on putting at least a 90hz display. But still a good phone
For what you get on both phones they are great phones. I did have both from when they were released and have kept both. My daughter is now using my note20 5g and i use the ultra but i do fluctuate between both as and when I choose. I can get on absolutely fine with either. They're great.

Just got the Ultra. Honestly if theres not much of a difference in terms of performance, I'd switch it to a regular Note 20 as the Ultra is humongous almost like a tablet in my hands and it can't barely fit my pocket. Also I get wrist strains as its too heavy.

Not entirely correct on the storage specs there. The 256GB is for the Exynos model. The Snapdragon models start at 128GB. Samsung kind of backed themselves into a corner it seems like. Last year's Note 10 and Note 10 Plus both has 256GB regardelss of processor. So now, since Samsung decided not to uograde the Exynos chip for the Note 20, they're sacrificing storage on the Snapdragon models so the Exynos users feel like they get equal value for money. Still, now the Snapdragon users feel like we get shorted a little. Honestly, it's a lose-lose decision no matter how you stack the options and Samsung just had to make a call. I think the SD card slot in the Ultra saves it a little, but you have to pay $1300 for that hybrid sim/SD tray. They just cut too many features from the standard Note 20. And some of the cuts don't make any sense! It's like someone walked into the conference room one day and said "Spread put the Note 20 Ultra plans on the table. I'm gonna spill my coffee on them and whatever it lands on, we'll cut it out of the standard version."
Samsung doesn't bring back the MicroSD card slot for expansion I'm going to stop using Samsung products I'm sick and tired of Samsung copying apple and removing features.
Couldn't agree more! I'll be sticking with the Ultra for as long as possible, that extra storage is very important. Where I live there are so many "dead areas" and there is no access to the cloud because of it.

I have the note 20 ultra and I like the phone. However between the two I would try to get the note 20 ultra. Might as well get your money worth. The note 20 is NOT worth 1000. I lacks a micro SD card slot and some camera features. Really I have seen people selling the note 20 for 700 brand new. That is a bargain if you can get it for that price and trust the seller. But if money is the issues and staying within the budget, I would try to find the note 10 plus. If you look around it is going for around 400 to 500 dollar. It has better specs than the note 20. The processor isn't much different.

The thing you forgot to mention is if you are outside of the US DO not buy these phones you are getting a 2 yr old weak exynos not the newest snapdragon. Much better to go for a iPhone sadly out of the US.
You may find the note 20 for that price (here in Spain it's now about 700 or 750) but if not just buy an S20 FE or something like a onplus phone of the price

yes agreed. the only back i care about is the back of my phone cover. but.......once you go 120hz, there is no going back to 60hz anymore just like how if you go with a mechanical keyboard you can never go back to a membrane keyboard. applied 60hz and i thought my phone is spoiled and lagging and stuttering so badly.

Samsung has the best trade in value! Samsung gave me 400 bucks for my Pixel 3 to go towards the new note, and I they gave me 150 dollar gift card for accessories. I got a steal!!

A higher refresh rate and higher resolution phone isn’t worth an extra $300 to me. And the note 20 is slightly smaller so I think I would pick the regular note 20.
Even if they criticize the standard note 20 still it is flagship it has very high nits as high as 1500 nits of ultra and it is very accurate color accurate even if it is 1080p only.

The plastic back and flatter screen of the Note 20 are a great, intelligent move by Samsung. Durability and lack of visual distortions are in favor of consumers. The problem for the price here is Samsung loading tons of bloatware on their expensive phones. At these prices, all bloatware is a bad joke. They drain battery, makes options more confused, use data and are a threat to privacy.
It's July 2024 I still have the regular Note 20 (256 gb) exynos version blue color. My wife has the Ultra and we are both using it as our Daily driver even 4 years after it's release. Yeah, we know no more updates but both phones still pack a punch and will be good for several more years.
I am also torn on whether to get note 20 or 20 ultra. I just went to the retail to compare these two phones myself. I was surprised that Note 20 Ultra Mystic Bronze in reality felt like plastic (despite the spec saying it is the newest gorilla glass victus). It really did not feel much better than Note 20's plastic. If anything, note 20 ultra felt and sounded harder upon tapping, and note 20 sounded more hollow. But I seriously wouldn't say Ultra felt any better upon tapping. Mildly disappointed. What's even more disappointing is that when I went home and tapped in my mom's S10, and even my own S7... Those old models FEEL SO MUCH MORE PREMIUM AND BETTER than the ultra note series. Even S21 series feel less premium than S10/S7.... BY A LOT.... I'm not even exaggerating..... Note 20 Ultra felt like normal plastic, and Note 20 felt like very slightly cheaper plastic than Ultra. The S10 felt like real premium glass, and S7 felt like a much more expensive and premium plastic. Also, just for reference, iPhone 12 pro (which I also tried tapping the same day just now) felt like very similar material as Note 20 Ultra, but iPhone's felt a bit harder (thus more premium) upon tapping. Although iPhone 12pro's feel beats Note 20 ultra, it severely loses to Samsung S10/S7. These are obviously subjective, but I can't express enough how unbiased I can possibly be....I bought my mom the S10, and I bought my dad the iPhone 12 pro. Right now I am leaning towards buying a new Samsung for my mom, and I just take over her S10... This is how much I was surprised how relatively premium S10 feels, compared to Note 20 series.
Yeah , nothing the matter with the plastic back if it is good quality , and less chance of a breakage in a hard drop for two reasons , A the plastic back cover and B less mass hitting the ground , the flat display on the cheaper model is a big win too imo , the faster display refresh would be nice to have , but not a deal breaker for me anyway , no sd card and no 1440 display i feel are items sammy should not have omitted however .

I bought the regular note 20 for 777$ It's a great phone, due to the plastic back (which doesn't feel cheap at all) and flat screen it's a tank, highly durable.
I've got the S9+ now and i love this phone. I love it so so much. For Christmas my parents have basically said they'll get me a new phone so... I can have the ultra if I pay 200 towards it (it would be 1050 here... before trade in for 150)... idk I don't want to waste their money so please help
I might be a month late but if you havent gotten the note 20/ultra yet i recommend you only get the ultra if you *REALLY* care about 120hz, the different cameras and glass back. If those are not deal breakers just get the regular note 20

the problem was the price gap between that and the ultra. it should have been at least 450 difference.

The note 20 not having glass is messed up considering that its predecessor and the plus of the predecessor do.

So true , reason why I put the n20 ultra bek in the store. I had note 10 for 2yeard and for me curve screens a big No, break faster ( a lot) and expensive to fix and the back glass too. Imagen to fix the ultra screen if it breaks🥴😵💀

The plastic back and flatter screen of the Note 20 are a great, intelligent move by Samsung. Durability and lack of visual distortions are in favor of consumers. The problem for the price here is Samsung loading tons of bloatware on their expensive phones. At these prices, all bloatware is a bad joke. They drain battery, makes options more confused, use data and are a threat to privacy.

It's July 2024 I still have the regular Note 20 (256 gb) exynos version blue color. My wife has the Ultra and we are both using it as our Daily driver even 4 years after it's release. Yeah, we know no more updates but both phones still pack a punch and will be good for several more years.

I am also torn on whether to get note 20 or 20 ultra. I just went to the retail to compare these two phones myself. I was surprised that Note 20 Ultra Mystic Bronze in reality felt like plastic (despite the spec saying it is the newest gorilla glass victus). It really did not feel much better than Note 20's plastic. If anything, note 20 ultra felt and sounded harder upon tapping, and note 20 sounded more hollow. But I seriously wouldn't say Ultra felt any better upon tapping. Mildly disappointed. What's even more disappointing is that when I went home and tapped in my mom's S10, and even my own S7... Those old models FEEL SO MUCH MORE PREMIUM AND BETTER than the ultra note series. Even S21 series feel less premium than S10/S7.... BY A LOT.... I'm not even exaggerating..... Note 20 Ultra felt like normal plastic, and Note 20 felt like very slightly cheaper plastic than Ultra. The S10 felt like real premium glass, and S7 felt like a much more expensive and premium plastic. Also, just for reference, iPhone 12 pro (which I also tried tapping the same day just now) felt like very similar material as Note 20 Ultra, but iPhone's felt a bit harder (thus more premium) upon tapping. Although iPhone 12pro's feel beats Note 20 ultra, it severely loses to Samsung S10/S7. These are obviously subjective, but I can't express enough how unbiased I can possibly be....I bought my mom the S10, and I bought my dad the iPhone 12 pro. Right now I am leaning towards buying a new Samsung for my mom, and I just take over her S10... This is how much I was surprised how relatively premium S10 feels, compared to Note 20 series.
S9+ and note 9 was the best Samsung flagships ❤️

Yeah , nothing the matter with the plastic back if it is good quality , and less chance of a breakage in a hard drop for two reasons , A the plastic back cover and B less mass hitting the ground , the flat display on the cheaper model is a big win too imo , the faster display refresh would be nice to have , but not a deal breaker for me anyway , no sd card and no 1440 display i feel are items sammy should not have omitted however .
@@mikldude9376 yeah, the refresh rate was and camera was a downside for me but like you said not a deal break. Big cost difference for those small features especially if you arent a big techy or dont necessarily use your phone in that way. Just eye candy
Please do s10 plus Vs note 20 ultra. I’m super confused should I upgrade or wait for S21. I want that 120hz, smaller holepunch & improved cameras but that exynos chip & no 120hz @ 1440p is stopping me from upgrading.
The s21 ultra will have 1440p and 120hz and also next years exynos 2100 is way better in efficiency

It's a great phone, due to the plastic back (which doesn't feel cheap at all) and flat screen it's a tank, highly durable.

I've got the S9+ now and i love this phone. I love it so so much. For Christmas my parents have basically said they'll get me a new phone so... I can have the ultra if I pay 200 towards it (it would be 1050 here... before trade in for 150)... idk I don't want to waste their money so please help
I might be a month late but if you havent gotten the note 20/ultra yet i recommend you only get the ultra if you *REALLY* care about 120hz, the different cameras and glass back. If those are not deal breakers just get the regular note 20

Iphone 12 doesn't have 120 refresh rate.. tech personalities......crickets.
Battery don't keep up like my note 10 plus does. But the 120Refresh Rate. OLED is fire 🔥

hienho15 I’m not an android/Samsung kind of guy, I use iPhones, but you can’t deny that these are good phones. I just don’t think the note 20 ultra is worth it for the money AT ALL compared to my iPhone, or the previous gen note 10+
