    I just purchased this phone and absolutely love it. At this price point I most definitely agree that earbuds should be included. I upgraded from the Samsung S9plus so this was a solid upgrade. The s pen features are wonderful to have since I use my phone all the time for work. I cannot notice the 1080p feature you were disappointed with and having the plastic back is preferable to the glass back for me. I cracked the glass back on my previous phone which I believe lead to issues with the speakers. I did not want to upgrade 2 years into buying the S9plus but gave Samsung another go because I absolutely love their operating system and trauma to the phone would be an issue with any brand.

I bought it for the screen size but I wasn't aware that it was native 120 hz hdmi 2.0 until I decided to hook my gaming PC up to it. That's when I really started paying attention to frame rates and display specs. When I bought a new 4K tv in 2017 I could tell it wasn't native 120hz immediately. The motion rate said 120 on a 60hz panel and I was expecting the post processing to make up the difference, but I ended up being disappointed.

    With regard to screen quality as you put it, 1080p is fine especially as you have that on the N20U with 120Hz, so if a negative it is no higher refresh rate. For me, I have tried a couple of 120Hz-phones and do not notice the difference and wonder if it is simply hyped? Mind you I do not play games or fast scroll through my apps or home screens! I will take 60Hz for the extra battery as you need all the help you can get with the Exynos SoC.
    Positive for me is the flat display, which I feel is sensible on a phone with a pen. 256gb ROM in the UK is enough for 90%+ of users so no SD card is not a big deal. The cameras look good and are exceptional for most users. Plastic is fine as the first thing I do is put on a hardcore case and screen protector.
    So, for me, saving the £350 for the N20 seems like a worthwhile choice, although I can already get it for £100 less on eBay and if I wait a month or so, nearer £600, I got the smaller N10 last year for £650 after a few weeks last year! Obviously, if you are a spec-junky, live and die by having every new feature and gimmick then pay the premium for the N20U, but if you want something that does all the important stuff then wait a month and get a bargain on the slightly smaller Note (maybe just £100 more than the Pixel 5, and that really will have low specs!).

      The only thing is the processor is a beast... If they used a SD 765 and charged $700ish, this would be a hot seller. Similarly, if they improved the screen, I think this would be a hot seller. They mixed and matched midrange and flagship features but charged flagship pricing... weird

      Pritam Kaushik I hate edge screens and will absolutely NOT buy one under any circumstance. Also, I used to own a phone repair business and, to me, wanting a glass back over plastic is ignorance at its finest. The glass is less than half a millimeter thick. AT&T has this phone free on contract (with trade in). I suspect Samsung doesn't really expect to see the $1000 MSRP to exist in the real world, and the carrier's cost is substantially reduced so that the phone can be sold cheap as a retention or new customer inducement incentive. I would not at all be surprised if Samsung is selling this to retailers for $300-$400. I think it would be a good buy at $700, and I really think we'll see that price well before Black Friday.

    Did u compare the Display directly to the Note 20 Ultra, as unbox theory said the Note 20 has the better looking, eyepleasing screen?

  • @oscarrobledo547
    @oscarrobledo547 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just bought the note 20 but was meaning to buy the note 20 ultra. I don't hate it. I don't play games on my phone prefer playing on laptop or my TV which is a huge screen. Also don't watch movies on my phone again why watch on a phone when you have a tv. Never understood that one. It does everything I need my smart phone to do. I will agree it would be better at a lower price but so would all smartphones. It was a good review. But I say screw it and just get what you like. The only opinion that really matters is your own.

    May I ask why don't you mention the deals that Samsung offers when talking about the price. Like if you turn in a note 10 you get $500 off. Most people don't keep their old phones.

    So currently I have the s10 plus, and I can get a trade in value through Samsung and the note 20 5g would cost me $450. Would you say that is worth it? I think k it's a pretty good deal for a trade in , but what are your thoughts?

    Samsung has a deal right now where I can get the Note 20 at $697 and that price includes tax. If I were to get the Note 20 Ultra with the same deal of the trade in I would spend $924. Taking into consideration all you said and the fact that I am paying $697 and not $1,000, do you think that is a good price? Also, I have a Samsung S9 now, so I am sure that the Note 20 is better than my S9 now. I would rather save the $300 dollars between the regular Note 20 vs the Ultra, and use that on something else. Please tell me what you think!!

    This phone is not worth $1000. Planning to trade in my 2 year old cracked S9 for a regular note 10. But with all the negative reviews about this phone, samsung offered a better deal. Got this for $700 for trading in my s9 and then a $100 off for a buds live. $400 savings compared to only $200 for a regular note 10. Not a bad deal.

    Why pay for any of these phones at full price ,they're all over priced,its just a phone . I just updated from a note 8,to the note 20 5g in mystic red color for $675 ,and I love it.and the back is fine ,I drop things to much ,so a glass back i don't need. And this mystic red is soo beautiful and I dont have to cover my phone up with a case,and I love the flat display.

      I honestly think if they just gave this 120Hz, it would be an insanely big seller. I think they wanted to push more people to the ultra, but I think most people are actually just turned off by the whole lineup this year. This phone is definitely extremely capable though

    For $1000, no thank you but I'm tempted because they are doing a great trade-in deal. I have the Note 9 and if I trade mine in I could get this for $450 but that plastic back and downgrade display is making me pause. Then again if feel like if I bought the Note 20 I would be missing out in the features of the Ultra but like Flossy said it is TGH. Samsung needs to clam down.

  • @astro_cd1127
    @astro_cd1127 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Maybe the reason why it’s $1,000 is just on the features and the Note20 Ultra cost more based on the additional features that the note 20 doesn’t have.
    Yet it looks worth it in a way for people.

    Most people who don't know what they're looking for in a phone shouldn't even be wasting their money on a flagship. Most people who buy flagships buy flagships because they know what they want in a phone, so for a flagship (and a $1000 Galaxy Note at that) to have these compromises is kinda unforgivable. Such a shame.
