EDIT: This video is pretty old. There are errors in it that many people like to call out before realizing hundreds of people have done it before them: I called Jumpman "Jumperman" by mistake. I also referred to DK Junior as DK's son which I later learned was not correct. We're only human, some info slips through the cracks. Needless to say, we do a lot more research on our videos now :) Hope you guys still enjoyed this video, and thanks for your support!

Lanky got a degree in college and became a mediocrely successful comedian, Tiny became an animal activist and helped save the bees and endangered animals, and then theres Chunky... he's dead... like everyone believes it, but in my thoughts, he left the DK crew because he needed to take care of his little brother Kiddy Kong. He then became a musician, wrote good songs and made an album which charted #1 in the Kong music charts. And then he dissapeared and everyone believed he was dead.

Yes, a lot of people don't know that Cranky Kong is the Original Donkey Kong, who debuted in 1981, Donkey Kong Jr's father, and Donkey Kong Jr has a son, named Donkey Kong, from Donkey Kong Country, released in 1994. And Diddy Kong is the Current Donkey Kong's nephew. Explaining this makes it very confusing.

Koopa Kid: Not coming back. He din't return for Mario Party The Top 100. He has no hope of returning.
DK Jr: DK Jr is slowly creeping closer to making a return, as a Mario Maker costume, and his game being in NES Remix.
Lanky, Tiny, and Chunky: Still no word. They're just stuck in the void with Koopa Kid, for now.
SM RPG Characters: We'll never see any of them ever again, except maybe Geno.
F.L.U.D.D.: Cappy has kinda replace him as a lovable sidekick, but F.L.U.D.D. is basically on life support as Mario's Down Special.

DK Jr’s character was never fully explored and the developers were hoping to phase him into obscurity by bringing Diddy Kong to the front. That is where the confusion started and it confused people more when DK Jr and his son DK (with the necktie) appeared in Mario Tennis together. However DK Jr was simply known as DK in the game where he throws barrels at Mario. DK Jr also appears in SSB Wii U as the gorilla that eventually throws objects at you.

To the Pintas and Nokis, Brighton is their god. Mario and co are excited because this time, they get to witness it. Everything is going very well. Suddenly, the sky is plunged into darkness. Brighton rises into the sky, tense. Just as he expected, a dark sun rushes him. They fight, fire raining down on the isle and water around it. The sky starts to burn. The ocean around the isle begins to boil. The air is so hot that buildings begin to burn. Panic reigns. Brighton crashes into the bay, vaporizing the surrounding water and leaves behind a crater. He gets up onto his knees, panting. He shoots toward the Grand Shine. Mario watches in horror. Brighton raises a burning fist, and shatters the grand shine. Four glowing lights rise, each a different color. The four lights streak out. The red light hits Mario, the green light hits Luigi, the yellow light hits Wario, and the blue light hits Waluigi. The dark sun strikes Brighton with a devastating attack. Stone spreads over Brighton’s body. He manages to launch a powerful blow that sends the dark sun tumbling over the horizon. Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi rush over to Brighton. Brighton gives them a quick summary and tells them they must reassemble the legendary Sunstone and bring it to him. It alone can reverse the curse. He can’t say anymore because the stone has now completely encased him. The four heroes talk, and decide to go their own ways to find the pieces of the sunstone. All four decide to talk to Twila first. She tells them they need to work together to collect each piece of the Sunstone, and reveals her wand can led them to each of the seven shards. She hands it to Mario, and tells them about the four lights. Each represents one of the four primal elements and were hidden within the grand shine a very long time ago when the world was newly formed. Brighton gifted the grand shine to isle delfino a long time ago to thank them for saving his life after winning his long battle against the dark sun Noctus Sol for the right to rule the sky. The four heroes leave hours later. It is night and since Brighton is a statue, day can’t come.

there's some debate on that, there are some sources that suggest the modern tie wearing DK is in fact an all grown up DK jr, the issue lies in whether Cranky is modern DK's Father or Grandfather and there are multiple examples of both being implied by cranky himself and the developers

Actually, the Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dousing Device, or F.L.U.D.D. for short, is an important part of Mario's kit in SSBB & beyond. If you want to keep your opponent from coming back on-stage, without getting off yourself, you can certainly try with F.L.U.D.D.

I always though that Kamella from Super Mario Galaxy was a great character, and was disappointed that she was not used in the sequel. She is basically the matriarch or queen of Kamek, one of the most popular Mario characters. I surely thought that her power and status would've had her reused, but was surprised that never came true.

2:10 Donkey Kong Junior is actually Donkey Kong's father, in his child state. I dont know why they kept him as a child, but it just is. And diddy Kong is Donkey Kong's nephew.
2:16 Donkey Kong Junior was not saving the red-tie Donkey Kong, but was actually saving his own father, cranky kong.
So basically, donkey kong is donkey Kong junior's son, and donkey kong junior is cranky kongs son.
And the reason why tiny and dixie kong came along was because when Donkey Kong's nephew, Diddy Kong, joined him, diddy kong brought along his girlfriend, Dixie Kong, and Dixie is the sister of Tiny.
Hopefully this cleared stuff up for some people put there.

Actually DK junior is our current DK
The current official story is that Cranky Kong was the original arcade DK, Junior is his son and, for some reason the modern DK is Cranky's grandson and Jr's son. This backstory is incredibly stupid and I usually ignore it in favor of Rare's original story, where modern DK is just a grown up Jr.

I can’t believe that in the newest Mario game, bowsers fury, it had the brush that bowser jr had in sunshine, and the weird m thing at the start cutscene but it has no sign of fludd, I am very sad about this

I thought Donkey Kong Jr grew up to become Donkey Kong from the SNES, the Donkey Kong from the early games became Cranky Kong from the SNES series.

I grew up playing Mario RPG and it is by far the best rpg in my books that i loved. The reason those characters were locked away sadly is because they belonged to square enix who let them rot in a box with a lock on it.. WE all wish they would come back that was by far one of my favorite mario games along with mario 64 too. maybe one day
