I was about to order it today, but then I saw that it wasn't coming back in stock until February. Luckily, I found someone that sold it near me, so now I am waiting for it to arrive! Got it for like 30$ less, and I don't have to pay for customs.
Still waiting for gateron jade pros to come in to build my keyboard. I am excited to lose my wrist rest on my current tofu/Wooting setup. Great video btw!
Hey thank you so much! I might keep the wrist rest but I think no wrist rest is very doable with this keyboard. Legit my wrist and fingers felt better after playing yesterday as recently I can feel how tense they get with my Polar Pro.
Black would have been sick! But I do love the gray I feel like it can fit either a white or black setup and still make sense. Hopefully you get the case soon!
Nope! Just a screw driver is all. And if you go with some magnetic switches they come pre lubed. Honestly it was easy to setup I can send you the link to the live stream I did. I took my time building it but, was pretty easy.
You want them to be concave a certain way. The tall side on the back then sloping down would be the top row, middle row should be sort of flat and then bottom should have more height in the front. Idk if that makes sense haha
I ran into the issue of not know where the keycaps go lol. On the bottom of the keycaps there should be lettering indicating what row it will be in (i.e "r4-1h" is row 4). I knew where the bigger keycaps went, such as space, left shift, caps lock, etc, and those had the lettering on the bottom of the keycaps as well. By just comparing the numbering with the bigger keycaps made it easier to know which row was which. I believe row 1's smaller keycaps did not have the indicator on them though.
@@Z0ltaNiykyk yeah i built it 3 separate times lol my cap puller is stressed. the heights also threw me off. between F keys and abc keys Im not gonna complain at this point, this thing is legendary haha
Will my order come with the screw driver/any other tools for assembly along with the cable that plugs into the keyboard? Or do I need to order those separately?
Only thing you need is a screw driver and that’s it. It comes with a type c cable but it’s yellow and black so if you want to get something that matches the board I’d buy something else. the cable is a straight braided cable, no coil.
It's only the case and keycaps that are different. You pair it with the 60HE+ module, so it still has the 1khz polling rate and performance of a regular Wooting 60HE+. There shouldn't be a huge difference since 8khz isn't a noticeable jump from 1khz. If you like what you see and hear and you have the budget, it's not a bad idea to get it.
@@IAmBPalaOhhh ok yeah I saw optimums video on it a day later maybe and ordered it on the day I watched the vid. How do you feel about the colors tho? The keycaps don’t seem to match the case at all yet in optimums video they looked extremely similar. Does it look better in person?
@@sircartdark na they’re $20 keycaps so I didn’t expect them to be top notch lol besides I’m thinking of blank charcoal brown or dark gray for the caps now. The case is so nice and would pair well with many colors
Totally fair. I really like the way the key caps feel but I have heard a lot of people mention it feels cheap. Idk to me they seem soft and easy on the finger tips for me. I was shocked by the price difference with the key caps and the Wooting caps. Case is def heat!
I personally like them, genuinely I enjoy how they feel when typing. I def get they feel light weight when they aren’t installed but, I like these better than some other key caps I have gotten from Glorious or some others.
It's almost 2025 and we're still seeing wedge-like designs at a premium price; why and how just makes no sense imo. There's no reason for lack of imagination in an era of bold and fun aesthetics. Great review otherwise
I guess personally I like wedge style boards. Like the Tofu, this, the Polar Pro, idk personally I enjoy those designs and looks to be honest. What’s a board that broke that style in a good way?

5:40 it actually exists, and you can rebind all of the keys in the wootility. its literally the rebind keys menu

Tried the Gaterons vs the Lekker 45v2 on this Optimum Board. Don't like the Jades. The bottom out pingy _ At least thats my view

Does the friction pad come with the case or the module? I only ordered the case and keycaps since I already own a wooting

I had the L45s in mine and switched them out to the Gateron Jades. The lekkers just had too much stem wobble for my liking.
How do you find the default stabilisers? The board looks really nice.

One thing I'd like to know is if the friction fit mount works well with other 60% cases?
Not sure first time using this. I think you do need the Wooting 60HE+ PCB to work with it but I’m sure other cases are compatible.

it is a universal 60% pcb, so yes, you can friction fit it

I ordered mine within the first hour of it dropping and live in the US not sure if that plays a factor.

In general yes they can, the lekker 45 v2 do come pre lubed!

keycaps made my fingers hurt while gaming and the color offsetted too far from the grey i was expecting. love the case and the sound tho
i had the 50 dollar pattern keycaps from wooting they were better

those keycaps arent that great... would love something like the LAMZU Atlantis Pro has but with this grey

Actually the color choice is garbage, probably the worst gray colors
Personally love the color. I do wish the board and the key caps were 1 to 1 looking back but, it also depends on the lighting at times.
