I've been really suffering with tiredness for a while now but I had a breakthrough lately, I discuss.

The best advice I got in finding purpose was this “discover your design and you will find your purpose.”
Once you look at yourself and find what lights up your passion, what makes you happy, then you’ll understand what you were created for. But in order to do so, you must live and try everything in life and never be afraid of change.
Hope this helps someone the same way it has helped me.

The thing is you don't have to figure out everything my man ! Society make you think things through social media, through television and stuff like that. I completely agree with what you say about the "purpouse" and "momentum". That's it ... IF ... you want to overcome obstacles in your life, you have to give yourself some depression time to GAIN the momentum of working on something you like and that is for yourself in order to feel way better ! I had similar issues and i was struggling a lot with the "momentum", YES i was doing what i love, but i was so tired because i didnt suffer in order to gain the right momentum to make it almost going on "autopilot". The exemple with the hours you gave is exactly the thing ! Its like running or anything. You gain slowly momentum everyday and things are becomming easier and easier till you reach a point where this become "easy" and you do thing and feel like its just "hey man, i'm here working for my future without ever feeling tired". I hope my message is clear ... Don't give up once you feel the momentum ! It might take 10 days ... even 1 month but !!!!! once you get it, it's amazing ! And if one day you break the momentum cause of problems like being sick for a week or something, try to get it back starting slowly again ! You will make it man, things don't have to be hard or exhausting mentaly, but in order to get there, you might need some time. Take care man, you are strong, you will make it !

Thanks appreciate the words of encouragement. It used to be the same with the gym for me. I got so used to going at the same time every other day that if felt weird when I didn't.

I have felt this phenomenon about motivation and focus when I would walk an hour and half everyday. I don't know if doing it again will work but I get this energy now very occasional.

Than's for this video, at the minute, i'm stuck between trying to start up my own business and doing my normal job. I've reached a point where i've lost focus on both and got completely lost to the point where i'm affraid of going to work because of the uncertainty of what i need to do. I now realise, i've lost momentum in what i was doiing because of the job umpredictability and shortly after, motivation as well. Your video got me motivated to get my momentum back on my personal project. Thanks !

The obstacle is the way. I’m 44 have found my purpose three times. The first two for me plateaued in that there was no further upside potential or challenge… and for me this became boring. So just over two years ago I decided to cash in everything, live humble and risk it all for more upside potential. I’ve lost my kudos, social status etc but have regained my soul… and enormous drive. Ultimately I’m happy again. So in my humble experience I would say perhaps the things that don’t motivate you aren’t a big enough obstacle for you to overcome. ✨

I actually read that recently. Understood it but just didn't resonate with me at the time. Congrats on that transformation. Would be great if you could share what you did?

@@JayWallace apologies as I haven’t read the book… I just like philosophical phrases. First business was internet advertising which I started with a friend in 2000. In 2005 I left and setup alone doing web development and optimisation for Google. Which I fell out of love with around 2017. At that time I discovered automated trading systems which I developed part time up until I was confident enough to transition to full time in 2021. So I no longer have clients, it’s just me and the machines 🤖

The make up of a persons motivation can vary from person to person - can be derived from upbringing, values, fears, ambitions... wherever we draw our sense of worth from. These videos are great to see from a self reflection standpoint. I'm studying to become a therapist, and there are such great avenues of learning that I've gained access to through studying.
Out of curiosity... Have you ever had therapy? If no do you find any resistence to going? I ask simply because it looks like you are on the right track in what you say in the videos, and the questions that are coming to your mind, however I wonder if it would be helpful to have someone who can help you dig deeper for understanding, which perhaps you might find as/more rewarding. Being from the UK also, I'm aware that there is a rather outdated stigma around having therapy which I have often wondered the impact it might be having.

Hey thanks for taking the time to watch the video, glad you found it useful in some way.
Yeah I've done a lot of different therapy over the years and it's been invaluable to me. I never had any resistance to therapy but I know a lot of people do - especially men.
I feel like there's different seasons in my life. Seasons for introspection, for asking questions and figuring things out. Then, a season for action, for taking committed action from my discoveries and applying them to my life. This is where I have struggled in the past and this is the season I'm in at the moment.
