We can all learn to wake up without an alarm. But not if we sit on our phones all night or watch Tv, or eat before bed. Our natural sleeping hours should be 8pm to 4 am. If everyone did this they would wake up at 4 am without an alarm. Most people would not do this because they don’t have enough discipline
Richard Tooth you think it’s simply lack of discipline? Some of us have to work and study. I arrive from college at midnight and have to wake up 6 am to go to work. It’s not lack of discipline!!
Tbh, its not the school's fault why we arent able to have enough sleep, Its actually us that doesnt manage our time well with entertainment and studying, I always regret when I don't do homeworks and projects earlier but I havent changed 😑 But i still managed to finish everything in a day which was so stressful and I didnt want to experience that again but ugh...I still havent changed after years of doing the same habit 😅

Clearing ur bowel in the morning is extremely important.Take 2 tablets of triphala (max 3) every night before you go to bed. Triphala is an ayurvedic Indian mix of herbs available in the form of tablet and churna (powder) in all the ayurvedic pharmacies. You won't snooze anymore. Go to toilet half awake and come out fully refreshed. This keeps you active throughout the day and you get sleep on time. Try, it really works.
@Zatoichi Ayurveda has made it simpler to understand how the five elements control our mind and body. We are made up of five elements I.e. Earth, water, fire, air and space. Each one of us have predominant combinations of elements that depends on our parents'. These combinations of elements are called Vata(air and space), Pitta (fire and water) and Kapha(Earth and water). Read about how the imbalance of five elements in our body controls our behaviour. Get ur pulse reading done by an ayurvedic physician. We can not completely change our body type but this can be controlled to some extent thru our food habbits according to our body type, ayurvedic medical guidance and spiritual lifestyle. Learn how to meditate. Eat fibre rich foods before ur meals. Most of the diseases attack a body because of unhealthy gut. You can try ayurvedic detox programs as well.

1 snoozing is great because you can stay away from reality for more time 2 don't get any sleep because it's useless and boring and u can't eat when sleeping 3 don't excersize or hydrate, excersizing will hurt your body making you unable to sleep and when u drink water u will need to pee while sleeping 4 don't avoid lights or else the shadow monster will get you
From reading all the comments, I’m seeing the best way to get good sleep and wake up feeling better (from my experience as well) is your routine. If you go to bed anytime, eat snacks, don’t drink water or shower, watching TH-cam videos it won’t help. But someone who goes to bed generally around the same time, taking time to pray or read before bed, and taking care of physical needs before sleep would probably sleep better. The discipline gained from these little habits not only can make you feel so much better but help you be more disciplined in so many other areas of life
Sounds pretty risky to experiment without an alarm clock for those of us with work and school. In fact, just today my alarm didn't go off and I was late to work. And my body naturally gets energized as soon as the sun goes down.... So not sure what to take away from this video tbh
If you get in a routine of going to bed everyday at the same time, you'll eventually start waking up at the same tame everyday. And then you can still have your alarm just in case, but you'll probably wake up before it even goes off.
What I'm doing personally, I go in my bed around 9pm every nights and I wake up at 5.40am, this makes me feel good, I get enough sleep and I got plenty of time to do things before school. Hope you'll sleep better
It’s quite hard for me to start all activities at the same time. So I’m going to start “stop snoozing” first. And if I can succeed it, I will try the other as well. Thank you for your productive information as always.
I noticed after about a week i started waking up feeling at least not tired anymore if not refreshed exactly by not eating anymore crap food everyday and exercising. I eat better food such as nuts, cottage cheese, frozen fruit and vegetables, and wheat sandwiches with lean ham and low fat mayonnaise. It has already made such a big difference!

About tip 4, I think you can activate the “orange screen mode” even without apps, if you’re on iPhone. You can just go to the control center (the menu with a lot of features that pops up when you swipe upwards 2 times), hold down the luminosity bar and select the button that says “Night shift mode”. The screen will go a little darker but also will become way more orange.
This is an old video) Android and iOS (and Windows) received this feature almost simultaneously in 2018, if I'm not mistaken. So, yeah, you can and should use embedded gadget solutions. Also you better leave gadgets anyway before bed just to make your brain calm down and stop analyzing information.
If you go to Dr. Mike videos he said that, yes, "orange screen mode" can help with the "chemical part" but using ur phone before bed can have others bad effects too, like anxiety by looking at social media or deadlines, stress bc u thought about work or lost a game and even sadness cause u finished ur netflix show that night and the list goes on... So yeah, is not only about the light from ur phone.
@@x0vg5hs1 "Just put away your phone" That's my point lol. My comment was to say that people shouldn't think it's just the light that is hurting ur sleep.
My main tip: do NOT think! I often laid in bed and kept monologuing my feelings in whole novels to myself to work through whatever emotions I had from the last day. And I couldn't fall asleep that way, because I was concentrating on all these thoughts. What helped me a lot is to write these thoughts down beforehand, even if I just type it into my phone and then delete it again, it helps a lot to organize my feelings and have some closure. When in bed I would actually sometimes think to myself: Don't think. Think of nothing. Nothing... Nothing... I know it sounds and even feels stupid but it helps me a lot to focus on this word to not drift away with my thoughts. I guess it could work with anything. So anytime you feel your thoughts drifting, shift it back to a pre set boring word. I always fall asleep a lot faster that way! :)
I have the same problem and also sometimes say in my head: "nothing, nothing, nothing, ..." Just avoid thinking. In many cases I've fallen asleep soon after.
This is really true. My insomnia is kicking again and one thing I realized is that my thoughts were chaotic at that time to the point I couldn't relax and sleep. I started doing sleeping hygiene when pandemic started and it really helped a lot. One thing I realized is to relax and think of nothing.
Thank you for this video! We all know this stuff (most of it, at least), yet we all tend to repeat same mistakes over and over again… Cheers to you, the Creator!
I've used Sleep Cycle for six years now. It keeps statistics of your sleeping habits and it's awesome to look back and see how you've done with your sleep habits and the amount of sleep you get. And it works, you definitely wake up easier
But how does it know when I fall asleep? Sometimes it takes literal hours before I fall asleep at all, sometimes I just stay awake throughout the whole night.
Idk but maybe motivation? When you know that you don't have to go to school and you can play video games or sports for the rest of the day your more likely to wake up than doing something you feel is boring
I would like to add something For people saying it's difficult to wake up without an alarm, it is difficult yet possible, (religion aproach here) in Islam back then before phones and alarms were invented people used to wake up for Fajr prayer (early in the morning) everyday without missing it, we have our biological clock, if we have a healthy sleeping schedule as it says in the video it would work Other thing is that, in Islam we wake up for fajr to pray, and it's that kind of exercice which is not tiring but energizing as described in the video, you can check how a prayer is made to see the specific movements that could help your body in an efective way Both of these were practiced 1400+ years ago, I just wanted to add that these tips and habits were practiced years ago and now are proved by science Thank you for reading this, I wish you a healthy sleeping schedule and a healthy life 🙏🏻💜
Brother please don't ...,you are like saying that prays are a habit and that wrong Prays is not a habit and not a workout, Please stop saying stuff is not ur specialization . You will make people misunderstand the real islam, and thank you. An arabian muslim was here. Edit: prays are a worship And sorry if my english is bad
@@ayampencen6363 you have circadian rhythm (brain's clock), that will be start rewiring itself everytime you'll wake up early & yes one day you'll start waking up without alarms.
@warko Its a worship only! The habbit are like sleeping and eating and we do it with no attention But the prays are worship with attention not a habbit! Thats why in america most islam there are have many wrong thoughts about islam because of you people! People saying any stuff that is good with ur feelings! Islam is a concept that wouldnot change whenever the time change it will stay the same But the people mind will change with changing time So stop misrepresentation the real islam as you like? Ok?
Oh hey everyone! If you're someone who wakes up feeling tired every morning, here I am listing few things I follwed that helped me wake up feeling energetic and might help you as well. 1. Keep your phone down 1 hour before going to bed 2. You might read a book or practice a self care routine in that 1 hour 3. Try sleeping early, for example at 10 pm or 9 pm as per your convenience. I prefer waking up early in the morning because I feel the most productive during that time. Thank you for reading.

Thing is, that is the most difficult part for most people having an average job and kids or even a private life. I know from holidays my natural sleeping cycle in summer is like 0.30 to 9 o'clock. But my works starts at 8 o'clock. So, of course I will have problems starting the day "refreshed". ;)
Thanks. I will not snooze and Drink water before bed and have a perfect breakfast and stop using gadgets at 9:30 am and sleep 11pm and wake up 7:30 am - 8 am and have a exercise in the morning 💪
Sebaa Garcia Well, I have to catch the bus at 6:45 which means I have to wake up at the latest 6 o clock. Then, I take so and honors classes and also play basketball so even on a non game night I get home at 6:30 then homework so unless I go to sleep as soon as I finish my homework, don’t have to walk my dog, don’t have tondo any chores, don’t eat dinner and don’t play any video games or do any fun I can get 10 hours of sleep but I’m not gonna give up those things, and this doesn’t even include game days. And I’m not even in college. But no, it’s not schools fault
This channel did not end up helping me... but i DID get what i wanted by this time... telling a completely depressed person these things does not help.
The game changer for me has been taking a cold shower on waking, also at other times of day. I just turned off my hot water. I've had delayed phase sleep disorder (ie extreme night owl) but this has greatly normalized my sleeping patterns
Wait srsly? Like i havent waken up feeling energised/refresh in so many years that i cant remember the last time. And ive had trouble sleeping/falling asleep since forever. Which pretty much lead to what u said... Did that srsly help u?
I suggest apps that stop that kind of behaviour. The app I use have the function of not turning off if I don't do the task I've chosen in the settings. My favourite is this attention exercise where I need to focus to tap some rapid moving figures. You also have other things like solving a puzzle, calculate, scan a barcode in your bathroom, and so on. (And you can change difficulty on the task) It really helps getting you out of the auto mode of turning of the alarm when you're basically asleep.
Another tip is to actually have a strong purpose to wake up early. Your body might be ready to wake but if your mind feels that there is nothing important to do, it will automatically induce sleepiness. For example, if you want to wake up early on a normal day, it would be tougher compared to waking up early to study/catch a flight or a train etc..
That certainly is an important part of it. I have to get up at 5:20am for workdays but on saturdays, I _do_ need to get up somewhat early as there's still stuff to take care of but the "eh... I can just start a bit later" tries reeeally hard to take over.
Just hold the phone brightness without adjusting it, and you can activate Night Light already. You don’t need to take up data. The Night Light can be adjusted at the settings.
Thank you!!!! I just had a very long period of depression and anxiety, my doctor gave me medicines and now i feel kinda better but i’m so freaking tired all the time so i wanna fix mt sleeping schedule!! I will update in a few weeks how it’s going.

The funny thing is, the one time, that I woke up energised was, when I fell asleep at 4 am. And I woke up at 6:30am. That was literally the only time, I woke up without being tired
Bro that happened with me also I just slept for 1.30 hrs before the exam and I felt energised maybe the reason is that our sleep cycles consist of this 1.30 hrs cycle and that time our 1 cycle ended so we wake up feeling energised I have watched some other videos too that told this thing
That's roughly 2 sleep cycles. If I I'm up late working and know I'm not going to get much sleep ill try to only sleep for 1.5 hours or 3 hours so I don't wake up as tired. Still not amazing for your health but working people gotta do what they gotta do
I'm kinda special, when I sit in my sofa and read stuff on my phone I get super sleepy lol... it's the getting up from the sofa and going to bed that wakes me up
Reading or thinking great quotes or statements in the morning sets me up for a great day. Today I feel strong and energetic. I wake up with purpose, direction and meaning for my life!
A quick tip- Place your alarm at full volume, but place it a little far away from bed. Place a glass of water nearby. Then when you go walk over to the alarm, u would mostly spot the glass of water and drink it. It will help you get rid of a little laziness.
I mean, sometimes, algorithm's youtube can be really helpful when it comes to help you live a better life or a better sleep. I hope I'll be more energic tomorrow, cuz it's 2am and I didn't achieve to sleep 😂

OR you could go to sleep earlier, get enough sleep and establish a good sleep pattern :)
Samuel Asare
exactly. I'm already fired!
Richard Tooth I wake up every day between 4am and 5am without an alarm

Tbh, its not the school's fault why we arent able to have enough sleep, Its actually us that doesnt manage our time well with entertainment and studying, I always regret when I don't do homeworks and projects earlier but I havent changed 😑

Imagine sleeping early and waking up to it to still be dark outside. Sun rise here isn’t until 10am 😅 dark at 3-4pm
That works for me too as long as I get to bed at a good time. That’s my favorite way to wake up in the summer, with the sun shining in and the birds chirping. Not as easy in the winter though, the different light and dark cycles throw me off.
That feeling of exhaustion when you first wake up makes me want to cry

The discipline gained from these little habits not only can make you feel so much better but help you be more disciplined in so many other areas of life
Random thought but I love how you said physical needs, it covers so many things.
Clearly she's talking specifically about sex
@@forrestwoods3569 Thanks for clarifying lol.

@AngelT yeah I work remotely from home in front on my windows
If you get in a routine of going to bed everyday at the same time, you'll eventually start waking up at the same tame everyday. And then you can still have your alarm just in case, but you'll probably wake up before it even goes off.

Its orange cuz ithe screen is trying to give off less blue light that prevents u from sleeping
Thank you for this information!!!
Thank you, i won't think that much at night, instead i will write down my thoughts!
Some nights i always these thoughts too. Thanks for the tip 👍
Thank you for this video! We all know this stuff (most of it, at least), yet we all tend to repeat same mistakes over and over again… Cheers to you, the Creator!

For people saying it's difficult to wake up without an alarm, it is difficult yet possible, (religion aproach here) in Islam back then before phones and alarms were invented people used to wake up for Fajr prayer (early in the morning) everyday without missing it, we have our biological clock, if we have a healthy sleeping schedule as it says in the video it would work
Other thing is that, in Islam we wake up for fajr to pray, and it's that kind of exercice which is not tiring but energizing as described in the video, you can check how a prayer is made to see the specific movements that could help your body in an efective way
Both of these were practiced 1400+ years ago, I just wanted to add that these tips and habits were practiced years ago and now are proved by science

But I have no purpose
But the problem with me is that I would rather do almost anything in the world than study, let alone sleep!
That certainly is an important part of it. I have to get up at 5:20am for workdays but on saturdays, I _do_ need to get up somewhat early as there's still stuff to take care of but the "eh... I can just start a bit later" tries reeeally hard to take over.

Place your alarm at full volume, but place it a little far away from bed. Place a glass of water nearby. Then when you go walk over to the alarm, u would mostly spot the glass of water and drink it. It will help you get rid of a little laziness.
I don't know about alarm & water but my parents would definitely splash the water at me after hearing the loud noise
Alarm at full volume and placing it far away..😲😂😂😂
It's stupid.
