What a lovely, sweet lady you are!...I felt like I was right there with you in your kitchen having a conversation with you while you did all this DELICIOUS cooking!....So glad your video randomly popped up for me to enjoy!...I live in the Florida panhandle, but originally from Mississippi, so I know all about “good old down-home (budget friendly) cooking”...I will be checking out your other videos as I am now a new subscriber!...God bless you, my dear!...
My mom cooked as she was taught by our Grandma. Simple, frugal, but always delicious. My mom's mom was originally from Ohio. Married and they moved out here to San Francisco so he could work on the Southern Pacific. My Grandma kept cooking, of course, while working a job herself, and our mom taught us, as we grew up, to cook as we grew up. Always had good meals on the table, morning, lunch in our lunch boxes and we all sat around the table for dinner. Lucky for my sister and me.
Ms Karen, your channel was such a wonderful surprise to pop up on TH-cam. I watched the entire video recipe and I have to say that the dish and biscuits look absolutely delicious. I have to try this myself and I thoroughly enjoy one meal dishes. This would have been perfect for me to take to work for lunch before I retired. And an added benefit is that potatoes, cabbage, and onions are still economical. Thank you 😊

Hi Karen! I tried this recipe yesterday and it was absolutely delicious. I was a bit skeptical at first because I thought....how can you pile everything on top of each other and it still turn out good. I am here to tell you it turned out great. Everything was tender and juicy. Those biscuits were fabulous. My husband said...I don't know what you did to these biscuits but they are the best I've ever eaten and he loves my homemade biscuits. These were a step above. So soft and moist. I think these will be my go to biscuits from now on. Thank you for sharing. I just had to let you know how much we enjoyed it.

We can get homemade sausage up in Beulah and Hazen, ND at their home owned grocery stores there. When we go visit family we stock up on sausages! The first time I’ve seen an American cooking from scratch Truly wonderful to see, pork chops potatoes and cabbage is my fav meal.Thank you.S from London
Hey, first time I saw your video. I love this 1 pot recipe. I thought I would share a recipe with you, maybe you will try it. Put in a big bowl of 16 ounce thawed shredded hashbrowns, garlic and onion powder to your tasting, I just shake it around add 2 cans of cream of corn and cut up heated kielbasa sausage and mix it all together and put into a 9 by 13 inch casserole dish and bake for about 30 minutes at 350,, take out and add any kind of cheese you like, I used shredded Colby jack, put back in the oven until cheese is melted. Thank you. Hope you try it and like it
Approximately how long did you cook potatoes before adding the rest of ingredients? Then Approximately how much longer did it take to finish after all ingredients were added?😍
Maybe 10-15 minutes. Not quite done because they will continue cooking. Add rest of ingredients and cook until cabbage is tender. Maybe 15 minutes or so. Check for tenderness. Thanks for watching.

I'm sure you can. 😉
Thank you. Hope you try it and like it
Sounds delicious. Thank you. I'll try it.

You're too sweet. ❤️

Hi Karen I just found your Chanel and enjoyed watching your cooking you are a great host and a wonderful cook thank you Karen !
@@KarenJonesFoodFamily Thank you!
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos today shared them with others and will be making this recipe also
I always clean my meats with vinegar and water prior to cooking.
Thank you, and what about cutting potatoes in a bowl, and not cutting them up on a bear counter?
I cut them on my cutting board not my counter, but if you want to cut them into a bowl that would be great.
