Well hey Everybody, Karen I came across your channel by accident, and I love it. Not too many people still cook the ole way anymore. Your food reminds me of how I cook, I remember my mom grandma and aunties cooking like that love your videos I’ll be watching. Be Blessed.
You guys rock. I will be praying for the Lord's supernatural help for you all. Thank you for helping anybody that you can even though you have been through the devastation that you have. God bless you
Whoa…I’m watching some older vlogs and your kitchen is different to say the least. I guess I started watching you after the transformation but I must say the light does far more than the wood grain look, for sure. I now know that before I began watching you there was a retirement and some remodeling I guess. Too bad your vlogs didn’t show up on my feed sooner…I feel like I missed out on a lot of things at the Jones!!!:):):)
My mama passed away last year. You remind me so much of her. Your hair and face, I see a little bit of her in you, as well as the love of home cooking. You're truly a blessing to many of us viewers. Thank you for your sweet and gentle virtual spirit. Much love, Jenny
So glad you made the banana pudding my mom made it the old fashioned way an she been gonw nany years an she took the recipe with her. I haven't found anyone until you made this way who knew how they all use the eagle brand recipe. Thank you I will be making this soon.
Your meal looks delicious! I enjoyed watching you cook, it brings back memories of being in the kitchen with my mother, she cooked everything from scratch, and put a lot of love in everything she cooked! Cooking the way you do is a lost art, no one want to take the time to cook from scratch anymore, everything is fast food! You brought back precious memories, thanks for sharing!~~~Joyce
My mom used to make her pudding just like that and after she passed nobody had the recipe I'm so glad that I ran into this video thank you so much brought back so many memories.
Hi Karen, I am a new subscriber. Just found your channel. Love your style of cooking! I cook this way too (or try to do so)anyway…thank you for sharing your channel w us! God bless you.
@@KarenJonesFoodFamily Aww thank you. You seem like such a sweet lady and I absolutely love your kitchen and the open plan you have. It’s beautiful!❤️ The first video I watched was the cubed steaks with gravy and potato patties. The potato patties were one of my favorite things my mama used to make❤️I can’t wait to try the gravy with a splash of balsamic vinegar. The entire supper looked delicious ❤️❤️
Thank you Russ. I agree. I do a few but.....some over do it. I have a couple of dishes I want to make. Kinda quick and easy enchiladas. I haven't done them in quite a while. ❤️😋
I am new to your channel and loving it. I'm just next door in Georgia. My Mom cooked like you do when I was growing up. We lived in TX for 50 years and now retired in GA. Everything you made is a "refesher course" for me!! You are so pleasing to watch and it all looks delish!! Trying to catch up on all your videos. Thanks for your channel. ❤❤
I do to . Learned it from my mama . Rachael Ray learned it from her daddy. I’m 70 do my mama was old when she passed so it was done a long time ago. We are from Tennessee.

@@KarenJonesFoodFamily I feel so honored to "meet" you! I didn't realize you're well-established here already; please ignore my "advice!" (It was harmless but I deleted it anyway). I'm currently watching your all-vegetable supper and could cry b/c my mom and I loved sharing nothing more for a meal! And you remind me of my Mom-in-law whom I adore!!
Hello Karen. I love your easy going and pleasant personality. I can tell that you enjoy cooking. I like your new kitchen. You have made it so convenient. It is so interesting to see how women cook the same things in different ways. It is very pleasant watching you. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family.
You can Cook! Yes you can, I have been watching your food videos, you know how to season your food, Good, you put ham shanks in your Greens and Black eyed peas, that's the way you cook greens and black eyed peas, I don't put Black pepper in my greens, I use crushed peppers, You made that Banana pudding from scratch with Meringue, that's some good southern cooking, I know your husband and family cannot wait to eat your food, I am going to share your recipes, God Bless Sharon.
My kind of meal!! That looks good! You just kicked me um...to the delish zone! Always ready to taste new dishes! Yummy, yum! Waving to you from south Georgia-land of best Peaches, boiled Peanuts, & Vidalia onions!🥘🍲🌭🌮🍕🍟🍿🥗🦐🍝🍠☕🗽🚑🚒🚓
Once again, you nailed it!!!! I must try to make the greens!! I love them!!! You make it look so darn easy. Oh and that pudding with The meringue on top, oh my goodness. My mouth was watering. Thanks again Karen!
Karen, I just found your channel…love it and you (already). I make REAL banana pudding a lot, but I just put all ingredients on stove low and bring it up…turns out great every time. My Husband favorite. Looks amazing my new friend. I will try your recipe and see if different.
Could you please post what temp you start collards and black eye peas on. How low do you put them on for an hour of cooking? Thanks for the video, enjoyed watching a real down home lady cooking. I am trying to learn to cook fresh veggies. God Bless.
Start on about med-high and reduce to just a light boil. Peas take about 1 1/2 hours, our until tender, collards around the same. You'll know when they're tender then they're done. Loves and hugs ❤️
th-cam.com/video/UUtr2CJkrbM/w-d-xo.html Here is a link to a short that I did for Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding. You could sub biscuits or any kind of bread really. The recipe is in the description box. Hope you like it. Thanks for watching.
I don't. The earlier videos was in old kitchen, then we moved into our garage for a full remodel of our kitchen living area. What you see now is the new, after remodel. Love it. ❤️
THE VIDEO ABRUPTLY ENDED BEFORE THE BANANA PUDDING WAS FINISHED. YOU PUT THE MERINGUE ON TOP OF THE PUDDING. DID YOU BAKE IT OR BROIL IT. WHAT TEMPERATURE AND FOR HOW LONG? DID YOU PLACE THE BBQ PORK BACK IN THE OVEN? DID YOU ADD ANYTHING ELSE TO THE BEANS OR GREENS?
I see a lot of comments about how you make everyone think of their mom,, you are exactly like my mom in your mannerisms..We all need to start calling you mama Karen!
Thank you for the instruction on tempering eggs

What in your opinion is the best greens to cook?
All, but my favorites are collard and turnip greens. But try adding some mustard greens in with the turnips. Yummy 😋
Did you put onion in the greens and black eye peas
I didn't but it would be so good.
Can I ask what are collard greens?
