  • Omaha renters say the city is becoming too expensive as rent continues to rise. "Affordable" is defined by your housing cost being 30% or less of your income, experts say many are paying more than that in Omaha. Existing buildings have raised prices, but many new buildings are going up. We checked and a lot of apartments, new or existing, are charing over $1,000 for a studio or one-bedroom apartment.

    Low income means, riff raff!
The loud music, the marijuana smell, the drunks, domestic violence fights. I can keep going on and on.

Rent in Omaha now is same as Colorado. I am moving to Colorado which has more job opportunities than here and wages in Colorado is more than Omaha . Renters is Omaha is gone out of their minds and increasing rent as high as colorado and that is the reason many working class is leaving Omaha in the recent year.. am leaving omaha for the same reason. Bye

You think Omaha's expensive -- try Denver

Rent in Omaha is more than Colorado Springs . It’s close to Denver . Brand new apartments in Colorado Springs have lower rent compared to age old outdated damaged apartments in Omaha. Well Omaha rents are out of control for the wage we get paid in Omaha. Am leaving Omaha for the same reason and moving to Colorado Springs in a few months . I looked around apartments in Colorado Springs last week.. wage in Nebraska is lower than Colorado and taxes are high as well..
